We've both been to North Hills Hospital.  They're just terrible, the care and the nursing staff. I think I was in there when I broke my ankle and it was a terrible experience. Most of the staff didn't speak English well or at all.  I'm not trying to sound biased or anything but you couldn't understand what they were asking, or saying or, and they had trouble understanding us.  My husband got me out of there as soon as he could, they had to operate on my ankle and their billing department is ridiculous.  I wouldn't send anybody there.  If I had a worst enemy I wouldn't send them there.  The room stayed really dirty, my husband came in, you know, the day after to see me, you know, and the room hadn't been taken care of, it was dirty, the floor, the trashcan over flowing, just the whole thing, I wouldn't go there for anything.  An ambulance did have to take me in so I did get right in.  I remember the first night I was there I was in pain and I was trying to get a nurse and I had a miserable night trying to get somebody to know about the pain I was in.  The doctor I had did take care of it. The doctor himself was not bad, he was pretty good.  The administration wasn't very responsive.

I actually fractured my spine. That was fine. I got seen pretty quick and I got the treatment that I needed which was nothing. It was and quot;friendlyand quot;. I feel like I had to wait a while, but it was long time ago.

If something is wrong I typically either just go to the CVS or the minute clinic. It's cheap and I have my preventative care, but it's no co-pay, no out of pocket, no nothing. It's like an emergency plan so I don't have very much coverage if I didn't get sick.

It's quick and I can go on a lunch break I have to make an appointment. If I have a cold or if I have a strep throat or something like that, I go in, get a prescription really fast. I pick up the prescription right there, very simple. I don't really go there for anything problematic.

They take good care of what is needed.  They have covered everything and taken care of it for us.  They do have a program where they do things and want us to use the membership for exercises.  They have programs where they will send the caregiver out to our house.  They sort of check us over.  It is not a physical site to get a doctor.  It is pretty much everything that they cover and the doctors are doing it for us too.  We have been lucky so far.  They call and check from time to time.  They send us the mail to remind us to take advantage of the exercise and all that.  They do remind us of emails and calls to give us the shots.  They have been pretty good.  I haven't had anything major or operation that involved my wife or me.  They've been easy to deal with.

Their online pre-check in is the main draw for me - I don't have to wait in the lobby with other sick people. It's their unique feature that sets them apart. All of the doctors have been knowlable and friendly.

North Hills Hospital is really good. The nurses are really nice and care. They were excellent in treatment. I always felt like I was being taken care of. They kept me informed. After I went home they sent a lovely card with all the nurses that took care of me. I will continue to use them.

Doctor was Very thorough in asking medical history questions and specifics about the rash condition, onset, and duration. His question determined it was an allergic reaction to a recently prescribed drug.

Manor Care staff is friendly and helpful, but the quality of care is lacking in comparison to just about everywhere else.  My dad was there for physical rehab, and they must have gave up on him.  I didn't know any better, and chose Manor Care out of location convenience.   I know my dad is stubborn and needs coaching to exercise, and this last stay I think they gave up on him and said he reached his plateau saying he will never walk on his own again, and Medicare then stopped payments so they moved him to the bedridden nursing home hallway while he was still receiving medical tests for incontinence he developed while at Manor Care.  Well, Manor Care then treated him like an invalid and did not offer to help him out of bed, so on top of everything else, he caught pneumonia and went back to the hospital.  It was at the hospital that he learned of a much better rehab center --- and that center does not allow the people to stay in bed all day and offer a much better rehab plan.  My dad is much better after  leaving Manor Care for Green Valley Rehab on Rufe Snow Drive.  He did not plateau, but is getting stronger now that he has left Manor Care and went to this other rehab.  He will not be able to go back home to take care of himself, but he is getting to the point where assisted living may be a choice for my dad instead of a nursing home.     The lack of quality care outweighs the other considerations.

This hospitl is very clean and quiet. They are orgainized by degree of care you need. The nurses work 12 hour shift but they give excellent care. They pre-register you a day before surgery so there is no waiting when you come in. The emergency room took good care of me immediately. The food I thought was excellent.
