    Your Handyman & Construction Co.
Overall I was very pleased. Workmanship was great. Cant even tell there was any work done. The workers were extremely professional and kept the work area very clean which made me very happy. Prices were a little on high side. 200-300 dollars more expensive than next closest competitor, but as I mentioned, I got what I paid for. They were a little challenging to schedule. I like to plan out ahead as far as possible, but that wasnt possible. Overall I would use them again for sure.

    Annie Does What Honey Don't
I am very satisfied with the work performed and the manner in which it was done. Annie does what she says she will do, for the quoted price, and in a timely manner. I had no issues with chasing anything or anyone. I really liked her nonsense approach. No games! Just get things done as agreed.

    Drywall Doctor
Very well. Kevin and his two workers patched all the drywall issues and retextured the wall in those places. It looks great. He and his crew were polite and professional and answered any questions I had about what they were doing in the process of patching the drywall.

    Drywall Doctor
Kevin did a great job! The work was done in a timely manner, and to our specifications. He's done work for us a couple of other times in our old home, and his work is excellent. On top of that, he is a whiz at matching ceiling paint after he's done repair!! We'll definitely use him again on our next project and happily recommend him.

    Martinez Custom Painting & Remodeling
Before he started work he told me that they also do painting, Since I was in the process of painting the inside of my house, I asked him for a Price. His price was within my budget and he painted everything inside my house and did some extra work that I was in need of having done at a very reasonable price, replaced an outside back door, removed some damaged wood floors and laid tile in its place and repaired the chimney and a section of damaged eve all before painting the outside of the house. I am very happy with his work and his professionalism. I plan to his this company again to paint another house of mine.

    One Day Patch
For someone who works alone, he's very fast. The texture throughout the whole house now matches beautifully. He was done right when he said he would be, and cleaned up completely. I was left with nothing more to do but apply the paint, which we did ourselves. I would absolutely recommend Kris'  work to anyone!

    Tracy Drywall
Nathaniel arrived on time and worked long hours to complete the project early.  He was courteous, meticulous and professional and did a great job.  The repaired areas look no different now from those that are original.
The bid process was also professional and the staff were responsive.  The bid was returned within a couple of days of the estimator's visit.  Questions about the bid and job scheduling were answered promptly.
We would definitely hire Tracy Drywall again.

    Quality Control Remodeling

The first set of replacement dropdown stairs were too big - not their fault.  I was told by the young woman receiving their calls they would have some drywall for patching; they didn't, so I made a run to exchange the stairs and buy drywall. The drywall repair had to dry and was painted on the return trip. The repairs went well and these are decent people working hard at their trade.  Compared to the Lowe's quote alone for installing the dropdown stairs, they were a better deal.  At the time I believe their offer was $200 for 4 hours of work; it is actually 2 hours of work for the two of them.  They had to drive about an hour to my home.  I would feel comfortable using them again for handyman type repairs.

This is actually the second time I have been asked by AL to write this review; I am not totally happy with AL as they seem to bury the reviews so they are hard to find!

Picasso House Painting & Faux Finishing
I got a quote for faux paint in master bedroom and bath along with painting a small hallway between master and the bath and the toilet area. We also needed 4 outside French doors painted. Also included were sheet rock repairs in master to cover outlets that we are not going to use.

I believe the quote of $5,000 was outrageous! For my $200 consultation fee I was given the base colors that Bill selected but will not be able to use them since the faux color will change the color.

I have had faux painting done many, many times over the years and had excellent work done by other painters as I'm sure Bill would have done, however, I have never had to pay for the consultation and although I knew this ahead of time, I did not consider that I would get an estimate that was so out of line that I would not be using him to do the painting.

I have never gotten a second estimate for work to be done but I will this time and feel sure that it will be less than half this estimate.

    Carnival Custom Painting

Over the course of 2 months I obtained 4 bids to paint the exterior of our house. Our house is approximately 2400 sq.ft. with an attached 500 sq.ft. garage and is stucco.  Carnival's bid came in the most reasonable with the most expensive at $7,000+.  The original bid was around $2,700 but we did an add-on with the back patio floor and front door landing.  I signed and dated the bid, scanned it into my computer and emailed to Carnival and then we scheduled the date for the project.   Since spring is a busy time to paint exteriors (cooler weather), our start date was 3 weeks out, which was no big deal to us.

On the first day, the crew came and power washed the house and then began painting starting with the chimney and back covered patio ceiling.  They were very professional and got right down to business after discussing with us what our color choice was and how we wanted it done, i.e., main house color vs. accent color.  Carnival has an account with Sherwin Williams so we chose paint from their color choices.

By having an account at a paint store and the quantity that's purchased, the company is given discounts which are passed along to the consumer.  (At the end of the project we were presented with an invoice from Sherwin Williams showing the purchased paint and break down of cost.)

The entire project took less than 3 days and my husband and I were very pleased with the results.  The crew did a great job cleaning up the work site and did a good job not getting paint where it didn't belong, i.e., windows, doors, and 3' stone wall that went all the way around the house.

It also helped that there weren't a lot of plants close to the house, which made it easier for the crew to get the job done fast. The only thing I was a bit disappointed was that a few of our smaller plants (8-20" high) were damaged because the ladder was placed on top of them, but this is the only negative thing we discovered throughout the project.

Form of payment was handled with our credit card and by doing so there was a 3% upcharge added to the cost of the labor, not the paint.  If we had paid by check, there would be no up charge.  When I selected Carnival to do the job, the 3% upcharge was mentioned to me before signing the contract.

Overall, our experience with Carnival Custom Painting (Ron Forest) was great and would recommend them to others.
