Counseling & Mental Health reviews in Midland

I have been to see her multiple times and it is always easy to make an appointment but the wait time is ridiculous. I drive in from Midland and it ends up being a half day ordeal. The doctor is really nice but I hate having to wait. Every time I've been there I have seen some strange and obnoxious people in the waiting room. I'm currently looking to find a new doctor but there is a shortage of psychiatrists in this area.

I asked for a prescription for physical therapy and the doctor forgot to write it.  Even though I walked back in the door withing 10 seconds he couldn't be interrupted.  I can understand that he's with another patient..  So I left  a request for it to be mailed or left for me at the desk.  After two weeks of being told the doctor was in clinic and couldn't write the prescription and could not be reached.  Even his associate who also examined me could not write the prescriptiion. I was perplexed.  Why?  I was in horrible pain ad he agreed I needed it.  So I told the staff I would be there in office to wait for it.

Within two days I received a letter stating Dr Masny could no longer treat me.  Obviously he could be reached immediately assuming one day to  write and another to mail the letter.

To refuse to write a prescription for physical therapy after agreeing I REALLY needed it then refusing to take one minute to write it for weeks was rude as was lying by his office staff.  Save your money for this whole practice.  I didn't go to the other physician, David Fillipi, due to a very poor yahoo review.  When  Dr Fillippi examined me he didn't even speak to me. He treated me like an animal vet consult.  He spoke to Dr Masny and said I have a few ideas and walked away.  He didn't respond to my "nice to meet you," or anything else I said.

In my opinion a couple of cruel and dispassionate doctors who obviously are in the field for money or publishing opportunities.

As an update I spoke to a friend that said she had a HORRIBLE experience with a neurologist. I asked his name guessing either Dr Masny or his equally rude partner. Sire enough it was Dr David Filippi, the partner. He wouldn't shake her hand nor speak to her. This is the same way he treated me. He tol her if he wanted to talk to her he would address her, otherwise remain quiet. She said she will never go back.

The initial appointment with him, he spent for around two hours. He was very thrilled and was able to diagnose my wife and tell her things about herself that she has realized. But once he said, it all came very clear. He was very precise, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He showed us different papers to publish by different doctors and different medical institutions. He was keeping up with his knowledge. He was always educating himself and we are very pleased with him. It took over six months to get an appointment. If you are an established patient, his availability is minus five months.

He has an incredible bedside manner. I think he really works hard with his patients to meet their needs and find what's best for them. He really impressed us when my dad was in ICU, coming in and checking on dad, working with dad and trying to get him to respond. He had a massive stroke and he did quite a bit of prompting to verbalize. Dr. Foster was amazing working with him. I know he's been the same when we've gone into the office. He's very patient and he gave dad lots of time. Dad has what's called Aphasia so he had a really hard time forming his thoughts and trying to convey them. Dr. Foster was very patient with him and made us all be quite so that dad could respond for him. I was just really impressed. He's just an excellent doctor all the way around. We didn't wait in his office. I know they did a really good job in getting mom and dad in a short of the week and that's really quick timing.

I came to counseling for PTSD, anxiety disorder, major depression. Patrick has multiple certifications. He is familiar with CBT. He gets a lot accomplished in a short period of time. I trust his understanding for aforementioned issues. Of course, it helps if one is willing to open up, be vulnerable and honest. Patrick makes this easy to do. The counseling center accepted my bcbstx insurance and filed it for me.

His bedside manner was horrible. His communication was horrible. He told us that this was what happens when you have a close head injury, and that it was not going to get any better. He was not compassionate. He was available immediately.

We used them so long because they helped us with payments, they made sure we could afford to see them. They called and checked up on us and they were always available for us most of the time if we needed someone quickly. My whole family uses them. They will get you in when you need to. It's a nice office environment, but it's a 15 minute drive.

I see Becky Cagle there. She is very perceptive and yet comfortable to deal with, talk to, and listen to. The staff is always very kind. Even if I have to reschedule, they are really good about rescheduling me.

They are a non-profit organization. They have a sliding scale that is income based. They are very professional all the time. They have evening and weekend hours. My daughter was there for anger management. My son was there for depression and ADHD, and I was there for general counseling.

She was on my insurance. I saw her for about three years. She is a very good doctor. She is quiet-spoken; she makes you feel really calm. She did not make uncomfortable at all. She listened to what I had to tell her and adjusted my medication accordingly. She was always on top of the situation. I never had any problems with her. She was good during my moving process; she was great about refilling medications until I found another doctor.
