    Revolver Construction
I chose Revolver Construction in part due to the glowing reviews on Angie's List. I now realize that all of the positive reviews are for Mark Rose. Revolver is now in the hands of Will Tanner, and he is a super nice guy but a terrible contractor. Long story short, Will told us this project would be complete inside a week back on 11/15/18. After several delays and some shoddy work that had to be redone, we used the new shower for the first time on 12/19. We had to stop using it a month later when we discovered wet and moldy drywall. We were not able to resume using it again until today, 2/19/19, and that is after doing much of the work ourselves. The quality of the work Will and his subs performed is atrocious and I have no confidence that it will last a year. Every time I walk into the bathroom I am annoyed because the drywall looks bad, the floor isn't level, and the creaks, cracks, and pops emanating from seemingly everywhere seem to be getting louder and more widespread by the day. Lesson learned: don't rely on the reviews or reputation of the company, make sure that you are dealing with the actual contractor you want. I wish I had gone with Walt Williams.

    Restoration 1 Mid-Cities
Blake and his team at Restoration1/Patriot Services finished out the restoration at my home after lightning struck my house and the attic caught fire. We had water, fire, and smoke damage. They have excellent customer service. They made me feel that they really cared. They were very kind, professional, and pleasant to work with. They made themselves available, and always answer our messages and calls in a prompt way. They did everything they said and we are very happy with the results. Im happy to recommend them.

    Prime Construction
He did an excellent job! He was professional and very reasonable for the amount of work we needed done. He was always very courteous, making sure to cover any areas that were exposed from getting dirty. I would highly recommend. He turned out blah master bath into a spa. Its beautiful. Things that were done: removed bathtub, existing walls, he tiled, grouting and removed existing wallpaper, re-texturing the walls and painting the walls. Built a wall in our bathroom so we could have a double shower. Installed everything to perfection. Even coming back when we saw a small issue with the grout, came back very friendly, very nice and did the fix. We had just taken a shower too early before it was dry, we were too excited to get in there!

    Kitchell Construction
Bob is a gem. We have used him many times and will use him many more. He installed granicrete countertops in our kitchen at a fraction of the price of granite and they look fantastic. With the addition of under-cabinet LED lighting (Bob's suggestion) and replacement of ceiling light fixtures, Bob transformed our kitchen into a showplace. We hired Bob to convert the women's restroom at our church to make it wheelchair accessible. Bob had a difficult conversion but made it look great. The women in our church appreciated his professionalism. If something was slightly out of alignment, Bob corrected it. He wants his customers to be satisfied. Bob also created a concrete wheelchair ramp for us and replaced an incorrectly-installed door that had been on our fellowship hall for years. This required him to get a subcontractor out to cut and then reweld a steel frame on the building. Bob also replaced rotting wood on the church entrance with Hardee Plank siding and then used that same siding to replace our vinyl siding on a building in the back of the church. Bob also came up with an innovative way to convert my attic space into more storage room than I could have rented locally. This has really helped with things around home. Bottom line: If you want to have one person that can do electrical, plumbing, beautiful countertops, and general carpentry, call Bob Kitchell. Bob is also a general contractor and knows how to find quality help to oversee large jobs. Bob will be back working for me personally and for our church as well. We appreciate that he has integrity and wants to keep satisfied customers. You'll hire him as a contractor, but he'll leave as your friend.

    Crossway Woodworks
Under no circumstances should Greg Lee be hired for a construction project. We got 3 bids for our project. Greg's bid was in the middle, as far as cost, and we chose him because we had a personal relationship with him and liked his design. Since there was a friendship there, we trusted him and did not research his background like we would have with another contractor. While he has good woodworking/cabinet building skills, he is not capable of managing a project and subcontractors. Our project was not a full kitchen remodel, but did include some demolition, additional cabinets, backsplash, and countertops. We were told the project would be 2-3 weeks, but lasted more than 5 weeks due to poor scheduling of subcontractors and general excuses from Greg. There were several instances of outright lies which impacted the timeliness of the project and availability of certain materials. Two months after the project was complete, the subcontractor who provided the countertops arrived at our front door threatening a lien against our property due to Greg's failure to pay him for the the work. Contact with Greg regarding this issue resulted in more excuses before he cut off communication with us. When we tried to locate his business, using the 2 addresses he uses, we found one was a resale shop and the other was Kroger grocery store! He lies and deceives with the ease of a seasoned con artist. We were taken, and if he will do this to a friend, image what he will do to you! DO NOT HIRE!

    Bella Casa Remodeling Experts
Everyone my husband and I interacted with were extremely professional and courteous towards us and our home. We have had other renovations done to our homes before and this was by far the smoothest remodel we have been through. The sales staff was extremely knowledgable and the crew was always prompt. Each question we had was answered with enthusiasm, and they recommended several options for us to choose from. Neal really went the extra mile and the final product was breathtaking. Our house feels more like a home and less like a place that is merely occupied. I think my favorite part of working with Neal and his crew was being able to leave them my house keys, without any concern over how my house and possessions would be respected in my absence. Trustworthy, reliable, friendly, and topped of with quality work is what sets this company apart from the rest. You guys are awesome, I only wish we would have found you sooner!

    Flooring & Granite By Silvas
Working with Ed Silver and his team proved to be a stress free experience. From start to finish the tile guys, the plumber, and the glass block window expert were always punctual and neat. We started the renovation trying to trouble shoot a leak and   discovered it was the glass block window.  I expressed that i wanted to keep the window so Ed brought in a glass block expert who worked to repair the window and he saved every block! The other contractors we received bids from tried to convince us to just replace the window with something standard. Standard was not at all what I wanted. Ed worked with me to choose the tradional subway tile look I was trying to achieve and the tile work looks amazing! We recently had the shower measured for the frameless glass door installation and the guy who measured was so impressed with how level the measurements were that he asked me, "Who did the tile work!" We had one hiccup along the way because of miscommunication with the company we ordered the fixtures from  -we didn't order all the fixtures we needed. This caused a two delay for the tile guys but Ed worked with me and got the plumber back out to plumb for the extra fixtures. i can't wait to get them back out to work on my master bath!

WOW!! Jo Anne was GREAT from response time with our original appointment to the completion of the project. She was always emailing us with updates and making sure we were happy. Her crews were all professional and courteous. She also finished our job 2 days before we thought!! We will use her again and we have already recommended her to friends. Highly recommend Jo Anne.

    Flooring & Granite By Silvas
All started out well.  However, during the course of the remodel of our kitchen and a bathroom, there were numerous no shows, late shows, unreturned phone calls, cancelled appointments, and excuses for having to reschedule.  As of this date, there are still issues with the workmanship.  The grout on the backsplash was never sealed and is coming off, there are extremely noticeable seams in the granite countertops, a frame that was installed to secure a granite desktop was done shoddily and after numerous promises to repair it, it is still in it's original condition, a toilet that was removed to lay new tile and reinstalled was not done properly.

UPDATE:  Although it's been over a year since this work was done,  I want to update that things have gone from bad to worse.  Not only did things not get completed and repaired, more things are faltering.  The strip that separates the kitchen floor from our dining room they pulled up to lay the kitchen floor was not put back in properly and now is bowed.  It got to the point that we had to put a rug over it because people were actually tripping over it, since it was sticking up from the floor.  The toilet that they took up to install the floor in the bathroom and didn't replace properly is now rocking due to the fact they never shimmed it or put a seal around it.  The caulking in the backsplash has continually flaked off because it was never sealed.  The seams in the granite are not level so if you rub your hand across them you can feel the difference.  We had a list of items at the end of the job that was never reviewed or completed.

    Masterpiece Tile & Grout
This was the second time I've used Masterpiece Tile & Grout and it will not be the last. The first job was to redo our entire guest shower which was done to our expectations and in a timely manner. In fact I received a lot of good suggestions from Larry when planning the work that ended up being incorporating into the shower. The second job was to fix an area in our master bath shower that had to be ripped out due to a water leak. The work was completed within a few days of our initial meeting to discuss the work. I am currently in the process of working with Masterpiece to redo the floor and replace the vanity in our guest bath.
