    Had a noisy refrigerator. During the first visit they couldn't quite pinpoint the source of the noise; however, they returned a second time (at not extra charge) to further troubleshoot. They located the cause of the noise, fixed it, and now things are great. They were very friendly and punctual.

    I scheduled for a Friday and requested a window for service. I was told that it would be done by noon. After noon, they called and asked if anyone would be home. I said yes and they said that there was two jobs ahead of me, but did not offer a timeframe. After 4 pm, I called for an update and to get a timeframe. They said that the men were stuck repairing an air conditioner and that they would get to me afterwards, but could not provide a timeframe. I expressed frustration that I had taken the day off, that I had things that I did need to complete today, but could not because I was confined to the house all day waiting on them. They showed very poor customer service and little concern addressing the poor service they had already provided (or in this case not provided). They called back about 15 minutes later stating that they told their technicians to come after fixing the air conditioner, but still could not offer any timetable. He then became belligerent, asked me if I wanted the repair done or not and that this was "getting ridiculous." Up to this point, I had expressed my frustrations with the poor service, but I had not been rude. However, his rudeness was infuriating, so I told him if that was his attitude, I didn't want to give him my money. He said he did not need my money, so I cancelled. Then, he hung up on me.

    Technician came and evaluated the refrigerator and report to Choice the cost to repair.

    Technician returned and said the repair would cost be over the value of the appliance. He stated that Choice would call for a buyout.

    Choice provided the buyout number and I accepted.

    For fixing the refrigerator I would give them an A, overall I would give them about a B-.  I wasn't here.  They were nice enough to come out real quick on the service call and fix my refrigerator but then they didn't turn the refrigerator back on, so that when I got home, like a week later, everything in my refrigerator was spoiled.  If they would have at least called me back but they never called me back.

    The work appeared to be done okay originally. I had no cause to turn off the faucet for approximately 6 months after they "repaired" it and as soon as I did, it started leaking badly again. It was already past the warranty period per the company paperwork, so I opted to call another company. The new plumber that came out said there was no packing at all remaining in the faucet and that it was in bad enough shape it needed to be replaced, which they did.

    This was sort of the last straw. I have used Charlie's several times. On the plus side they are very friendly and very fast in the repairs. On the down side, besides the faucet that appears to have just been tightened up rather than truly repaired, I had experienced a couple of other minor hiccups with things that I felt could have been handled better, which prompted me to look for another plumber.

    I called at 6:30 on Tuesday night and Chance's wife answered the phone and worked me in the next day.  I was very surprised she answered so late and was very thankful.  Chance the owner came out on time, actually went out of his way to re-arrange his schedule for me, not to mention it turns out we are a bit outside of his service area.  So he diagnosed and fixed our fridge in 2 minutes.  It was 295 minus the 5% discount for angies list members.  After he finished I paid him a check and I was messing with my ice machine moving it around trying to get it to unkink the line and it broke the line.  water started pouring out all over.  He helped me wipe up the mess, get it to stop pouring out water, fix the drain line where it broke.  All in all he spent probably 20 additional minutes with me on a mess I caused after he had gone out of his way to drive 45 minutes in traffic each way just to accommodate my schedule.  I tried to give him another check and begged him to let me pay him for the help since it took twice as long as my fridge.  He wouldn't take the extra money.  I think he could tell I was outta my league and was in trouble if he didn't step in and save the day.  I will be referring him to all my friends from now on when I hear someone needs an appliance worked on.  Can't say enough good things about my positive experience.  This is a small company that really does care.  A+++
