    Portal Granite Designs
This was the second time I used this company. They replaced my countertops at my previous home, and I was very satisfied with their work. So when I bought my new home , I knew who to call. It went very well. The work was performed satisfactorily and on time. I love the finished product. They really went above and beyond, making sure all work was completed to my satisfaction. Everything they said they would do was done. There were no hidden costs.

    Tex Painting LLC
I met with several painting companies to paint a two-story high living room with a balcony, angled ceilings and rounded edges and corners with arches, etc. The builder of the home had toasted almond (beige-yellow) textured walls. Needless to say, there were so many challenges with the walls because of all of its differences. It took me two years to interview these companies and to consider the colors. I interviewed Tex Painting and Dan came out to consult with me. The consultation was free. Unlike the other consultations, Dan immediately saw all of the potential in my living room space. I still had a very unrealized view of colors and was nervous about the entire project. I told Dan that I was thinking of red accent walls and a light or true gray for the walls and the ceilings painted back to white from the toasted almond. Dan came in with ease and immediately came up with the idea of 3 red accent walls that happened to be the inset walls of the space and the rest gray. Two years of thinking about painting these walls ended with Dan's vision and recommendations in minutes. Dan showed up on the day of painting and consulted with me and made sure of the plan and colors, collected the paint samples and introduced me to his painters. The painters were quiet, worked fast, respectable and did an amazing job! Because of Tex Painting my living room space was transformed in to something that is so exciting. The space now provides warmth, tranquility and peace. I'm now having Tex Painting paint my kitchen. Thanks guys!

    AAA Handyman Home Improvement

Our home is located outside of Manor, Texas and sits squarely on the infamous clay soil. Due to the constant expansion/contraction of the soil, it's common for homes in the area to develop cracks in the sheetrock. After the really terrible drought three years ago (when Bastrop burned), we had cracks appear in almost every room in the house. When it came time to finally take this huge project on, we relied on Angie's list to review contractors. We selected AAA Handyman Home Improvement and it's owner, Sal Love, based on the excellent reviews he has received. It was the best decision we'd made in a long, long time.

Sal is a one-man operation. The upside of that is you have one point of contact, and he is responsible for all aspects of the job- NO sub-contractors to have to fight with! The downside, which is slight, is that it takes a little longer for the work to complete. But please note that it also means that the work he performs is excellent and, just as importantly, it's done correctly the first time. We posed some serious problems for Sal- a steep and very tall turning stairway that needed attention to the sheetrock along the very top of the wall and ceiling; a second floor office with a cathedral ceiling almost 20 feet tall which needed repairs EVERYWHERE, especially the ceiling. This required quite a bit of engineering on Sal's part to rig to scaffolding and ladders to reach up that high, but he managed to pull it off. We also had to match paint for several rooms and Sal was very particular (thank GOD) about getting the closest match to the original color as we could (unlike a lot of other contractors we've dealt with in the past.) Sal has been working on our house now for almost a month and has made repairs to the family room, kitchen, formal dining room, two hallways, three bedrooms, the great room, two offices, a loft space, a 10x10 pantry and a large mud/utility room. He will also be working on our garage. The house looks amazing again, thanks to his excellent work.

We are EXTREMELY pleased with Sal and his old-world approach to doing a job correctly and for a very fair price. He's open, friendly, courteous, takes extreme care in cleaning up any mess that gets made and performs repairs that will last forever. We will absolutely use his services again in the future. Do yourself a favor- hire AAA Handyman Home Improvement. You will not be disappointed!

    Carnival Custom Painting
When I called them initially to schedule the appointment, they were professional. I took the day off from work and they never showed up to the appointment. I tried to get a hold of them several times, but they never got back to me.

    Rios Painting
I purchased an Angie's List  "Big Deal" for one room of painting up to 10x10 for $119. Mr. Rios was a pleasure to deal with and helped select the best paint for the job. Scheduling was quick and easy - the appointment was for a week and a half after I initially contacted him. The guys showed up about 45 minutes earlier than we were told to expect them - not really a fan of that but considering the icy roads I'm surprised they showed up at all. I wouldn't have blamed them for cancelling one bit. Both of the painters were impeccably mannered and professional. They were able to cover up a dark red room with a light yellow in two coats (though I understand this is not always the case) and were out the door in about 2.5 hours. The room looks amazing and they even patched several holes in the drywall without me having to point them out. They left my master bedroom and bathroom as clean as it was when they got there. I look forward to hiring Rios Painting for my next project.

    Rios Painting
Mr. Rios came to my house on a Sunday with another gentleman and quoted the project. He was very friendly. On the day of the service, he called to state he would not attend personally because his family dog had passed but was sending his team. The team arrived on time and completed the work within a couple of hours. When I returned home, there were several eye soars.
    1. The paint was running on the wall trim, stair rails, and window seals from too much paint.
    2. The paint lines where the wall and ceiling meet were not clean.
    3. You can see through some areas of the wall where another layer of paint is needed.
    4. Two parts of the trim were left undone.

I notified Mr. Rios and some of the problems were attempted to be corrected but still did not have a professional, excellent finish. I notified him of this and he began to fuss at me and tell me how he knew his team and they would never do work like that. He stated he was upset about the dog passing which was like a family member and if I didn't understand he'd have to go. He then hung up on my face without letting me get in a word. He then followed up with two text messages saying he was not a rude person and would reimburse me $99. I never responded and have yet to receive a reimbursement.

At this time I am waiting to hear back from TWC to ensure that my unemployment is accepted before we proceed with the job.  Sam was nice enough to follow-up with us and said that he would keep the estimate and for us to give him a call when we were ready to have the work done.

    Guzman Drywall
If you're looking for quality, look no further...Guzman Drywall is TOP NOTCH! Joel and his crew were professional, courteous, and super fast to boot. Their attention to detail was nothing short of amazing. I really can't say enough good things about these guys. Every challenge that we came up with was met with a smile on their face and a can do attitude. Our house is modern so we didn't want a lot of trim work and they flawlessly finished the drywall right up to the exposed ceiling beam, built in medicine cabinet, windows, etc. We couldn't be more happy with the quality of the work! I showed Joel a picture of the texture that we wanted and he nailed it. Joel takes great pride in his work and it definitely shows. We'll be calling on him again soon to drywall and paint our next phase of construction. Thank you Joel and crew for a job well done! :)

    Austin Kitchen & Bath
We first contacted Rick Sparks, owner of Austin Kitchen and Bath regarding a room addition of a laundry room.  We planned to completely remodel our previous laundry room and kitchen when that was finished. Rick met with us at our home in response to our email.  He provided us with a comprehensive bid for both projects.  We could not be more pleased with our results.  Rick offered design help in all areas.  His knowledge of current trends, products and best practices was immensely helpful.  He is very focused on detail and didn't let any go unnoticed.  Even when we did.  Our custom made cabinets from his shop are wonderful.  The crew at AK&B is professional, have great work ethics, and made the whole process as painless as it could be given the magnitude of the job.  Thank you, Randall and Willie!  I loved that Rick does not contract out, he has his own employees so we always knew who was going to be in our home.
If you need a remodel, large or small, I highly recommend you give them a call!

    FIEDLER ON THE ROOF
    Not sure where to start, 'cuz it's a fairly long story. ;-and gt; Ed's done several projects for us over the years, including remodeling our kitchen and bath, helping us build out our breezeway, building a cute little custom chicken shed that everyone comments on. He's bright, very handy with most things, very personable, fair minded, and trustworthy. Would use him again, as well as have him and his family over for dinner! ;-and gt;
