    Nu-Tech Concrete & Construction
DO NOT USE NU-TECH CONCRETE & CONSTRUCTION - OWNER GALVIS WATKINS Hired Nu-tech to build a 3000 sq ft driveway on May 21, 2018 at cost of $15,225.00. On May 31, 2018 the concrete was scheduled to be poured, so we paid owner Galvis Watkins & wife Candace Rivera Watkins the final payment and left for work as they were starting to pour concrete. As soon as we left for work, they packed up the crew, sent the concrete trucks away and NEVER finished the job, only pouring approx. 800 sq ft of concrete. The concrete they did pour is TERRIBLE WORKMANSHIP!. The re-bar is laying UNDER the concrete on the ground and not inside the concrete as it should be. They also cracked 2 slabs of my existing driveway by driving a concrete truck onto my driveway and he REFUSES to replace them ($3000 worth of damage). He has repeatedly lied to us, never shows up when he says he will to complete the job and is RUDE, HATEFUL AND COMBATIVE! He tells us to just terminate the contract but he refuses to refund ANY of our money. I have only asked for $10,000 refund even though he should refund all $15,225 plus the $3000 for repairs to my property and the $500 I had to pay to have the pile of dangerous debris and trash he left on my front yard. It is now August 4, 2018 and he has ABANDONED THIS JOB!! The only communication I have had from him since July 18, 2018 is when he texted me to tell me he is having my negative reviews removed from Networx site. DO NOT USE NU-TECH CONCRETE & CONSTRUCTION

    Allied Outdoor Solutions
Professional presentation by Matt, went over what to expect & didnt get frustrated with add ons, the whole job went as expected time wise. We are very pleased with the outcome no complaints at all. Stephen managed the pool repairs & concrete, then Austen managed the carvestone. The workers were efficient & kept areas clean & neat. We will use them for future projects. It is beautifully done.

    Outlaw Services Remodeling And Constrcustion
He got 60k out of us, then refused to come back. He ignored our calls and texts. The job is still not even close to completion in July, so I am taking legal action. I also found out he has been doing this to several (6 I know of) other families in and around our area. His wife Shawna Elliot is also aware of what he is doing and helps him scam people. Beware!!

    Nu-Tech Concrete & Construction
Galvis was the first person we had out to quote the project and right away knew that he would probably be the one we would hire. He was thorough in the bid, making sure to measure not just eyeball. He was also the only person to ask what we would be putting on the slab to make sure it wasn't going to be too heavy for the cement we chose. He was able to start and complete the project quickly.

    Sullivan Construction
Mike did a great job. Even though we experienced a couple of weather delays Mike was always coming by, calling or texting to check in and keep me updated. His contractors did quality work and even with the weather delays finished the garage within my timetable. I was also impressed with the quality of the windows and rollup garage door I had installed.

    Sullivan Construction
Mike did a wonderful job of coordinating between the contractors to assure all jobs were completed on time.  He was always available for questions and concerns and was always willing to make changes when needed.  The prices reasonable and competitive with other bid.  Mike truly cared about the quality and completion of the projects.

I am very happy with the work Jim and his team did for me.  He and his staff were very professional, prompt and they executed the job on schedule.  I recently have been dealing with another concrete vendor that has been nothing short of a nightmare.  It was such a pleasure to have Jim and his team come and do exactly what they said the would do.  He and his team exceeded my expectations.  If I have another concrete job come up there is no doubt that I will call Jim first.

    Seek Design & Renovation
I chose to work with Seek Design & Renovation because they were personable and genuine - not just because they had excellent reviews. The Seek team were professional and highly responsive to my questions and concerns. These qualities remained consistent throughout the project and I appreciated how kind they were to my children (I am a stay-at-home mom).

I was very impressed with the level of quality in their cabinet-making, granite and frameless shower door installations. The plumbing and electrical work was done with proficiency and expertise. The tile team did professional work, I am very happy with the end result, unfortunately they were not always punctual. I was least happy with the painting and drywall repair. I would say it was average at best. I think this was the individual and that is why I kept the ratings at an "A" level. Overall, I am very happy with how the kitchen and bath turned out. They transformed my vision of what I wanted into a reality. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put in.

A few of things that I would change about the job... We spent quite a bit more than the original quote we received. Over half the added cost was our doing as we upgraded our tile, granite and put in a free-standing tub. However, knowing some of the other extra costs in advance would have given me a greater peace of mind along the way. For example, we were quoted a cost for knocking down a wall, but nothing was mentioned about the wall repair afterwards. I would have appreciated a notation stating that there would be another cost for repairing the wall. Another example is that the original quote did not include replacing the trim pieces (read quarter round/shoe molding) after the new tile was in place. Once again, I assumed that this cost was included in replacing the tile. Also, I would have loved to have a breakdown of cost per square foot for ceramic versus stone versus marble tile, as well as extra costs for unique tile patterns. As this is my first remodel, I was unaware of the difference in tile costs and might have chosen differently had I had that information at the start. In the future, I will ask lots of questions before starting a project, I don't think I asked enough on this one - I learned everything along the way.

Finally, we had one hiccup in the project. We asked to have our kitchen island stained rather than painted. Unfortunately, the stain job did not meet our expectations. We expressed our concern and it was taken care of the very next day. Now the color is perfect!

Thank you Seek Design & Renovation for an incredible job well done!

    AAA Concrete Works

Richard promptly came out and gave me a quote.  The price was reasonable at $3600 for the installation of a 16" culvert and concrete slabs before the culvert and entering the grass covered driveway after crossing.  We staked the culvert crossing and driveway entry slab (12ft slab after crossing the culvert) and discussed the installation in detail as I wanted to ensure the driveway entry slab was angled to avoid two large trees, approximately 15ft away.   As I work overseas I asked him to set the pour date when my wife was home and to ensure she was ok with the final positioning once the rebar and forms were set.

The work did not go well.  Richard refused to schedule the pour when she was available and told her that the forms and rebar work were "all set", and that he was not going to change anything as he already had a crew scheduled. He basically steamrolled her.  When I returned from my work rotation it was apparent the last driveway slab was installed wrong.  The culvert crossing was ok but the driveway slab was routed directly into the center of the trees "I WAS TRYING TO AVOID"

It is apparent that Richard and AAA Concrete need close supervision and they will take little direction or cooperation from a woman.  I did have a conversation with Jay Davis, Owner of AAA Concrete.  As they had already been paid by my wife, I offered to help compensate the correction in their work by breaking up the 12' slab and re-pouring in the right direction. He quoted me an exorbitant $3500 for this work and said that AAA Concrete was not at fault.  When I told him I was going to report this on Angie's List (where I got the reference) he began argued and hung up.

I had the repairs done by another firm and the remedial work cost $2000.

Contacted Flagstone Concrete for an estimate to level a sidewalk and possibly some masonry work to go with it. It was a Saturday. I left my contact information.
It took about two days, but Mr. Ellis DID return my call to say his company was booked solid and he would not be able to bid my project.
The only reason I'm typing a review is to give Mr. Ellis credit for returning my call. Even though he could not do my project, I appreciate that he had the courtesy to call and tell me so.
On Angie's List I often read how contractors never return calls.
Though Flagstone Concrete didn't do any work for us, I give them an A for what I consider a courteous business practice.
If we ever have another concrete project, I'll try them again.
