  • The offer was misleading. Offered 8 hours of masonry repair for coupon purchase, but business representative said it was 8 hours between 3 employees or approximately 2 1/2 hours each employee. The representative asked me to come an hour earlier to work site on day of work to go over the areas he found, which I did. When I got there, they were already working and did not stop to show me anything, until I asked. Two employees were working to lay a line of brick on a ledge, which I had not authorized. He showed me what he said needed repair. I told him what I wanted fixed and he said that the coupon could be applied to the line of brick. After awhile, I was told time was up and they had not completed the line of brick. I told him that you are just going to leave it unfinished and I was told he just wanted me to see what it would look like. He told me that he could finish the brick work and cracks for an additional $5,000+ dollars. I said I would not pay to have that work completed. I told him I would have to get someone to tear out the work as it had just been started. The whole experience was misleading and I still ended up paying $960.00 for a couple of the original repairs that I did want done. The work that was done was good but what a misrepresentation from the company in order to force additional work from customer.

  • Bill the installer came out within a week of our order to measure. He was on time, friendly and professional.

Within a day or two, we received a call from Meghan to place the order with the manufacturer.  The windows arrived

within the promised time of 4-5 weeks, but we needed to wait for the installation pending completion of some necessary

masonry work. When this had been done, the window installation proceeded within a few days.  Bill and his helper did

a great job of installing our windows, and showed me how to clean all the surfaces quickly and easily.  They finished

in minimum time, cleaned up thoroughly, and even assisted in relocating the furniture which had been displaced.

The only  glitch was that there were a few small, barely noticeable imperfections in a few of the window panes.

All things considered, Zen performed up to our high expectations, including following up with us to make sure we were satisfied

     with the product and work.

  • Our experiences from the sales person all the way through to the installers was poor. It felt like we had to fight basically every step of the way to have the window installed. The project managers kept pushing out the install date while giving reasons such as poor weather and delays with my city issuing permits. We live in a small town so I went and talked with our city and learned the Sears project manager made an error that caused the delays with the city permits. We actually had to get in contact with a Sears regional manager in order to get the movement required to have the windows installed. Even down to the installers we ran into issues. After the install I kept getting flat tires. We eventually figured out the installers dropped nails in our driveway that they had removed from our home during the window replacement. We confirmed this because the installer's truck was parked right where we eventually found the nails in our driveway. This experience also included hang ups with simple things such as the salesman not correctly measuring some of the window from the start. We decided to use Sears based on our previous dealing with them where they have always stood behind their merchandise. However, we now want others to know of our experience should they be considering using Sears for a similar project. We also feel the quality of windows the salesperson sold to us are not the same quality we received. The windows also condensate, which was not mentioned by the salesman.
