Came to my house a month ago to do an estimate. Had a long discussion about how we were going to do the landscaping and seemed like he knew what he was doing. After he left I never heard back. Never got an estimate. Called him several times and left voicemails and emails and never got a response.

I contacted several companies to do a complete landscaping rebuild on my house. Absolutely bushed's pricing was on the higher end but their services looked the best. Their price quote was for $22,343.00. After deciding to go with them, I emailed them a list of questions and clarifications. For example their price quote didn't include tax and said that a $750 landfill fee may apply. I asked for a complete price quote that includes the tax and real total. Since I had a long list of questions about their quote, I suggested that the sales rep come back to the house for another in-person meeting. The sales rep emailed me back and said that his "office" in Rowlett was too far away from my house and coming back for another meeting is "not really an option." Then he went on to suggest that if he were to come back for another design meeting, that I should pay him $50 for his "gas and time" or alternatively to continue the design discussion by phone and email. He did not answer most of the questions that I previously emailed him. I emailed him back and asked why he's talking about Rowlett when the company's office is in Dallas, which is 25 minutes away from my house. If his house is in Rowlett then that's not my problem. I also asked why he would even suggest that I pay him $50 for "gas and time" to do a pre-sales design meeting on a project that will cost nearly $25,000. I concluded my email by telling him that we can discuss over phone and email and will wait for him to answer my list of questions. After getting no response to my email, I called him several times and all calls went straight to voicemail. I left two voicemail messages and to date have never gotten a response to my emails or phone calls. It's hard to understand how this company stays in business with such terrible project managers who would insult their potential customers by asking them to pay for "time and gas" and then stop responding, resulting in the loss of a $25,000 sale.

Outstanding work!  There are many homes in our neighborhood with stone flower-bed borders, and ours done by Green Paradise is clearly the nicest. We've received so many compliments from the neighbors. We definitely will use this company again for more landscaping, stonework, and a possible patio extension in the back yard.

It was wham bam thank you ma'am experience.  I had been waiting for atleast a month for other subacontractors to come by and give me bids.  Finally decided to sign up to Angies List/
I contacted the first 4 subcontractors on Friday and left messages.  I got a little faustrated, and decided call a few more subcontractors, one of them being Cirio Perez Torrez Stonework and Brick Repair.  Answered my call on the first try, I sent him pictures of the mailbox that needed to be repaired, Cirio called back with a price and by Monday, the mailbox was fixed.
He did an excellent job.  I would definately contact him again for any further services I might need.
    Fully Satisfied,

We hired David and his team to make our house market ready.  They did a fantastic job!  They worked quickly and did a great job.  We will be using them at our new house, as well.

The quality was poor. The estimate states they would sand, prime, sand, and prime again then paint kitchen cabinets. His crew did not do this. A few cabinets were initially sanded and then primed and then painted.  Most cabinets were just primed. The paint did not adhere to cabinets. I could scrape the paint off with my nail. I pointed this out. Bobby verified this by easily scraping off paint with his nail. Bobby suggested that it hadnt had time to "cure" and would adhere as we turn on heaters in the house. I said this is an inadequate prep job not a curing issue. I suggested starting over by sanding priming sanding ... He agreed.. So the sanding began. Also, there were paint runs down the cabinets frames which Bobby assured me he would fix. There was too many quality issues for me to have the confidence the end results was going to look good.
After Bobby's crew installed a new light, I have a short in my ceiling fan which throws the breaker every time you turned on ceiling fan. I talked with Elsa about that and she said there was to much electricity going thru that switch. Well I expected Bobby to know that and not hook it up that way. Bobby asked me if i wanted a licensed electrician and I didn't say anything. But now I know the answer and its YES. I DO. Lessoned learned! I had to call out licensed electrician and there is a short somewhere along the wire and now the switch is unusable We control it with a remote control now!
Bobby's crew painted the inside of the front door. The paint is peeling off. After research i learned its a resin door and have to use a different kind of paint. I expected Bobby to know that!  We are in process of hiring a painter to strip and re-paint the door!
Bobby came every morning and talked with his crew and then left. The quality is dependent upon his crew. No one supervised the actual work. All suggestion for fixing the errors were mine. Bobby was not alarmed by the quality. He kept saying it would all be corrected at the end. I could not  wait till the end.
I asked them stop working on the cabinets. They decided not to do the drywall and tile. I offered them $500 to finish wall painting and clean up. They said no and walked away from the project. I was left with my downstairs a mess. The floors covered in paper, dust and dirt, furniture covered and moved to center of room. It took me the whole weekend to clean it all up and put my house back in usable order.
Bobby's crew was very respectful to me and careful with my little dog. I detected sarcasm from Bobby after i started pointing out the quality issues. Bobby never tried to assure me he was dedicated to get the job done right and please me. Elsa and I had some emotional discussions on phone but we kept the conversation about the job and didn't get personal. Bobby and Elsa always answered the phone.
Fortunately I only paid half down. Overall the quality was terrible. Bobby's attention to detail was lacking. He never spent more than 30 minutes at my house while his crew was working. I wondered if his attention was on other jobs running concurrently with mine.

As we speak Milstone Electric is replacing a mini-cam light Broussard installed. That's the second electrical problem i have had to pay to be fixed

My wife and I were building a flagstone patio in the back yard, and had essentially no idea what we were doing. We already had the flagstone in the back yard given to us by a friend, but we needed the gravel and sand for the base. I added up how much gravel and sand I was going to need, and started shopping around. It was going to be over $600.00 to purchase individual bags of sand and gravel at Lowes or Home Depot, and those are individual 0.5 Cu. Ft. bags. That's almost 200 bags at 40 pounds each.
    (That's about 4 tons...)
I had no idea how I was going to get it home. I don't own a pickup, and my SUV was going to take 15 trips or more to get it all home. Plus, I'd kill myself lifting all of those bags in and out of the car. I really needed to get it in bulk and get it delivered.
I started calling around to sand and gravel companies in the area, and no one wanted to deliver such a "small" amount to a residential neighborhood. They wanted almost as much as Lowes after the charge for the material and the extra charge for a small load. Then I spotted Blanco Sand & Gravel's listing in Google maps, as the owner lives not far from me - and I called. He had no website, no facebook listing, no email - I was skeptical.
Todd White (the owner), was extremely helpful. I told him what we were doing, and what I thought we needed, and he actually suggested an entirely different product. Rather than using 4" of gravel and 2" of sand, he suggested I do the entire 6" base in what he called, "manufactured gravel" - which is crushed limestone. He said that as the pieces are small, but very angular as opposed to rounded, it would provide both a good solid base, and also help to lock in the flagstone without easy blowing out from in between the stones as sand would.
Todd almost sounded embarassed when he told me that he'd have to charge a small extra fee because he had to go to a supplier on the other side of Dallas to get it, but even with that - the total charge for 3 Yards of material (7800 pounds), was going to be only $225.00, delivered to my driveway.
At 9:00AM the next morning, there was big dump truck rumbling down the street. The delivery driver backed up to a tarp I laid out in the driveway, and dumped it right there. I don't think he was here 10 minutes. BAM - simple. Done! And LESS than HALF the cost of what it would have cost me at Lowes, and I didn't lift a finger.
Todd White at Blanco Sand & Gravel answered all of my questions, spotted that I needed some help deciding what to get, made honest suggestions based on his own experience, gave me a more than fair price, and delivered it the next day. Absolutely highly recommended for whatever project you're doing.

When we first met with Gary, I commented that my wife and I liked to entertain in our backyard a few times a year. Gary replied ?You let people come back here?? I am not sure what he found so unattractive about all the weeds, dirt, dying bushes and collapsing fence, but Gary said that he could turn it into a beautiful extension of our home. After a few weeks, a new fireplace and grill bar area, a new fence, cabana, plant beds, grass, grill and arbor later, our backyard is just that, an extension of our home. Almost as important is the fact that Gary not only did what he said he was going to do, but he did it when he said he would. I don?t think there was a two-day period in which we did not speak. Gary informed me and updated us along the way, which made the entire process that much more personal. And finally, Gary was more than kind to me and my family ? my son still asks if he is coming back. From the beginning of the process we have been completely impressed. I appreciate the fact that you returned my phone call and I had a bid within 24 hours! Your crew was very professional and exceeded my expectations with the quality of work. I have already passed out your cards to neighbors and friends. My contractor came by the other day and said he would definately recommend your company for any referrals he gets for outside work. Thank you, Gary, for everything.

we had gary give us an estimate then a full design and we decided to go with him from his past jobs and when we contracted with him he explained to us that it will take about two weeks for the city permit to be issued and then he would get started. he also told us that the job would take about three to four weeks to complete and it only took two and a half weeks. Gary either caled us or email us with daily updates and also what to expect each day, we were on vacation while allot of the job was done. i liked that gary gave us options to add personal touches to oyur area and would email us pictures while we were gone.
