    New Creations Custom Design Build
I have the kitchen of my dreams, thanks to New Creations. Roy, Erin, and Apollo give you service that you just cant find anymore. We have done small and large remodels over the years, and we have never received service like we did with this top-notch team. From the beginning of design to the end product, they worked with us every step of the way. Roy was great about letting us know what they were doing and when they were doing it. Erin was always available if we had questions. Apollo and his team were unobtrusive and left a clean workspace every night. They are professional, experienced, trustworthy, and service-oriented. We will be using this team in the future. I highly recommend New Creations!

Monarch Granite Counters and Remodeling LLC
Dan with Monarch does not stand behind his product.  I purchased a slab of granite for a kitchen island from Monarch.  When it was delivered and installed we didn't notice an issue.  However, within hours of Monarch leaving we noticed a long hairline crack in the granite that went all the way through for about 8 inches.  We immediately contacted Dan and asked to have it replaced.  Dan asked for pictures, which we sent.  After that, nothing.  Dan won't return our calls, pretends he's someone else when he does pick up or just hangs up on us.  I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a new piece of granite to be replaced with the exact same thing if delivered and installed cracked.  Terrible company.

    Plumb Masters, Inc.
The young man who came first was very polite but inexperienced.  The second visit was caused by the fact that our shower has off brand faucets (which I described over the phone in the first call) and I had to order the new cylinder online myself.  The second plumber that came was the owner and he was proficient in his trade.  One of the stoppers has since come loose again.  My evaluation is based on the fact that we had to have two visits because the first young man was not well trained.

    AC Cornerstone Bld LLC
Let me start off by saying that I am an absolute stickler for five things... attention to detail, quality of service, quality of product, punctuality, and trust. Nobody is going to last long on my payroll if they can't perform all of those things well. Allan and the AC Cornerstone crew started working for me on projects 3 years ago and have continued ever since for one simple reason. They excel in every one of those requirements. They started with a large master bedroom addition with wrap around porch and that has evolved into many, many other projects... some larger, some smaller. We recently completed a custom horse barn and a sun room remodel w/deck, but the list literally goes on and on. The addition and barn particularly are hallmarks of Allan's design skills. All members of the crew are courteous and well spoken. They are all extremely service oriented. I have watched them work in practically every trade imaginable and can say first hand that the skills exhibited are always impressive. They are truly craftsmen. The size of the company, though small, definitely works to the benefit of the customer. They function as a team and can adapt to challenges and changes with innovative solutions more quickly than larger contractors.

    American Remodeling
Met Mr. Harrington based on a friend's recommendation. Mr. Harrington showed up on a Sat. morning to address our roof leak concerns. He went up on the roof and inspected the roof jacks and then noticed a couple of places where the shingles were not installed properly. He presented to us several options which included a call to the insurance company to look at the whole roof. The adjuster came out and confirmed Mr. Harrington's first assessment of where the water was coming in. The adjuster also agreed with Mr. Harrington's resolution on what to do to permanently fix the roof. We voluntarily withdrew our claim with the insurance company because the facts were that this part of the roof was installed improperly to begin with. Before we signed the contract with Mr. Harrington we noticed the negative review about him that was submitted after our first meeting. We also noticed that his listing states that he is not insured nor bonded. We asked him about that and he said that he IS and HAS been insured and bonded which is a requirement for contracting with Federal, State and local government entities for many years. He also let us know that he would arrive early in morning and leave early in the afternoon before it became too hot on the roof. Mr. Harrington came and replaced all of our roof jacks and fixed a multitude of shingle installation mistakes. He also repaired and fixed our gable vent without charge. Only after the work was completed and approved by us did he submit an invoice for the materials and labor. This amount was cheaper than the first estimate which we had agreed to.

It went fantastic! We could not be more pleased with the whole experience from the folks we met while picking out the granite to the guys that installed the granite. The story (condensed version): Wife decided to get granite countertops. First thing was to check out Angie's List. Found one installer by word of mouth. We chose ATX because a friend was also using them to install their countertops. We are so glad we did. We had picked out some granite at Pacific Shores and they held it for us for almost a month. They were fantastic people to deal with. We highly recommend them. Unfortunately, the granite ultimately did not "go' with the rest of the kitchen (don't ask me why, ask the boss (wife). We went to Young Stone to look at granite again. At Y.S. Leonard showed us the slabs we now have. Thank you Leonard and Courtney! Rob went there to check it and met with the "boss" to make sure it would be workable for them and us. We scheduled the installation date and the fabricators showed up and began work on time. The installation took two full days and the results are better than we had ever imagined. We cannot brag enough about the fabricators Sylvester, Julio and Angel. Three of the nicest and knowledgeable guys that install granite we have met. All three installers/fabricators are perfectionist and our countertops prove it. The seams are not noticeable at all and Julio had cut the granite to where all the seams matched perfectly with the "movement". They took the sink cutout and made it into a cutting board (this is a typical thing that is done at no additional cost to the customer in the industry from what we were told). You don't realize that the cutting board weighs what seems to be 50lbs! The end result for us was a perfect installation. A few warnings that may be helpful: * Remove all of your drawers from the cabinets. We did and we were glad we did. You don't have to clear out the upper cabinets. * As hard as they try not to, it will get dusty. Not a big problem but just be aware that it will. * Keep inside animals in a closed off area with a window open. The cleaner and sealer has a strong smell but goes away quickly. * When they are cutting out the sink hole, get ear plugs or go outside. Again, not a big problem. We feel that Rob, Sylvester, Julio and Angle could not have done a better job for us. You can see that these guys enjoy their work and are committed to having the customer 100% satisfied...period. We also feel that anyone who wants granite professionally installed should seriously consider having ATX perform the installation. They also install tile which we are considering at this time. We are glad we did and want to thank ATX, Young Stone and Pacific Shores for making our project a perfect one. Thank you.

    RJN Contractors
The contractor was recommended by a friend who had a large remodeling job done. We were told the job would take 3-4 days to complete. Demo and prep work was done in short time of 2 days. We were given a tile allowance of $400. We could not find tile in the necessary sizes for the alloted price. Contractor could not give an acceptable alternative, so we agreed to spend an additional $400 to purchase matching tile in the correct sizes. We were assured before signing the contract that porcelain tile could be purchased for the alloted $400. At this point I regretted hiring this person. Tile was purchased on 11/3 and tile installation began on 11/4. The tiling job was looking unacceptable, so the contractor was called. He was not present for almost the entire job. He arrived and agreed that the job was poor and had his subcontractors remove the tile and redo the job. The tile was re-done on 11/5. The contractor arrived late in the day and agreed that the job was done poorly again. Portions were retiled on 11/6 and then again on 11/7. I was told that the job would be totally finished on 11/9. Nobody showed up. We went through this for several more days of promises and no shows. Sometimes we got no phone calls, sometimes the contractor would call a day late and say that he did not show up (Like we didn't already know that) and that he would be there at a certain time the following day. This guy was NEVER on time. We made an appointment to meet the contractor at the house on 11/13 in the morning to sign off on the job. He was to finish the previous day. My husband took off work to inspect the job. When we arrived, nothing had been done to finish the job and he had not called ahead of time to let us know. Another promise told us the job would be completed by noon the following day, 11/14. He arrived at 1:30 to START the finish work. No phone call. We left in the late afternoon as they were not yet finished. Part of the tile pattern was still not applied properly, but at this point we could not wait any longer for him to fix it as we were moving in a few days and had to clean the house prior to the move. They did not attempt to contain the dust at all. He called to tell us that he was sick for a few days and would finish on 11/18. We met him on 11/19 and paid the balance for the job. The end product was good. It took 3 1/2 weeks to complete what he told us would take 4 days. He was very unprofessional. The tile allowance was nowhere near accurate. The job had to be redone 3 times. He was always late or didn't even show up. I would not recommend him to anyone. He has yet to return our key to us.
