    The Fix It Man Repairs
Excellent! Doorbell worked like a charm and looked good too. And when he was done with the masonry work, I couldn't even tell where it had been done. He was right on time. We will probably contact him again to install a new front door.

    The Honey Do Crew
Where do I begin?I guess I'll start by saying, dont ever hire Honey Do Crew ATX for any project or you'll get shoddy work done late and then you'll get billed for things you shouldn't get billed for. My 4th revised invoice was over $500 less than the first invoice I got. I continued to ask for copies of receipts for materials to make sure there werent fraudulent charges, and it took THREE more times for them to get it right. I hired Honey Do Crew ATX to install an electrical hookup for an RV, then to move the RV and lastly, to build an animal pen. I was assured they'd done all of these things several times. I am now convinced that Joe (co-owner) has never built a fence in his life. All of the jobs were to be done at a new house my family was purchasing. We were going to be out of town while the electric and fence was to be done. Joe called me 30 times (seriously, I have the phone records) while I was out of town with questions that wouldn't have been asked if he knew what he was doing. My new neightbor I hadn't even met yet called me to tell me they were doing the fence completely wrong. He sent pictures for proof. Joe's crew ended up accidentally cutting my neighbor's cable line because they didn't call the city before they started digging posts (amateur move). Joe said he wasn't going to cover the cost to repair the cable line and threatened on multiple occasions to quit the job before it was completed. If I hadn't been out of town and on a time crunch I would have fired him long before this point, but he kept reassuring me he would make sure everything would be done the right way. The T-posts were all facing different directions, the fence wasnt stretched tight properly and proper bracing wasnt installed. Some of the T-posts didn't even have wire ties. They set posts too far from the adjoining fence, so animals can get in/out. The gate is set too high leaving a gap that allows neighborhood dogs to get into the pen with my goats and alpacas. I was told on multiple occasions H braces would be on all 4 corners (my neighbor is a witness because I had to do a 3-way call with him and Joe to settle the cable issue even though it had nothing to do with me), and come home to find wooden posts instead of H braces. Joe moved the RV without issue, but didn't properly set it up and level it, like he told my mother in law he would (it's her RV), so we hired someone else to do it right. The electric was delayed because Joe told the electrician the wrong thing to get (electrician's own words). I told Joe repeatedly it was a 50amp hook up, and he told the electrician 30amp. After all of the stress of numerous (excessive) phone calls, shoddy work (the electrician did a great Job despite Joe's errors), and a week of hounding them for receipts to back up their charges (I'll repeat, they OVER-charged me by more than $500) I'm left extremely dissatisfied and irritated that after spending over $4,000, I have to put more time and money into 2 of the 3 jobs I hired Honey Do Crew ATX to complete. This morning I finally got a correct revised invoice and once again expressed my dissatisfaction with the entire process and my disappointment in not having been offered a discount at any point. Joe calls and says he's offer $400 off as long as I don't post any "negative reviews." To me, thats the same as purchasing reviews, which I find unethical, so I declined his offer. Do yourselves a favor and avoid Honey Do Crew ATX and hire a real professional. * I have plenty of photos but they won't upload to this site

    Mr. Handyman of NW Austin
I was very reluctant to have somebody out for such a simple and relatively minor problem but my front door was very hard to open and my door to the garage was very gappy and difficult to open and close also. Marty Allen was the technician who came out and he was very quick and thorough. He determined that with the front door I really needed to have the lockset replaced as it was very worn, but in the meantime he adjusted the way the door was hung well enough that it works quite satisfactorily and I can live with that until I can select a whole new locking mechanism for it. When I do, I will definitely be calling them for an install. He did that so quickly that I used the remainder of my hour of service to have him take a look at the door to my garage. He determined that the doorframe was actually installed at an angle making a perfect fix impossible but he adjusted the hinges enough and installed weather stripping at a different angle sufficiently to make the function of the door much better and something closer to a good seal without gaps at the top.

    OnCall Home Services
First off ? very timely ? Rick was exactly on time and I live out in the country (hard to find place).   Once we went over everything that I wanted to get done in three hours, he started right-a-way.  Before I knew it he was done and I thought that the back french doors would probably take all three hours as they were really out of alignment due to builder discrepancies.   So I found some more doors in the home that had minor issues and Rick fixed those too.  So as you can imagine I was extremely pleased.   Also the wife noticed the difference in the doors as soon as  she came home from work, which it's got to be good for here to give an A+  ? to top all of this off, the owner of ONCALL called me the day before Rick arrived and told me that if he finished up before the three hours that I could get him to do an other home repairs that I might have.  That's unusual in itself these days ? to go above and beyond.  Needless to to say any further ? I was impressed, very pleased and very happy with Rick's work and the service p;roved by ONCALL.

The plan started with a meeting, and from that, the owner Allan put together a plan with two possible roof elevations. Once I selected one, the slab was poured. Weather delays then set in, so there was a two week gap before the work began. Once the work started, the demolition of the old roof was done in a day, and the beams were set in soon after. Most of the work involved the construction of the new roof to match the contour of the old roof, and to build a ceiling that matched the existing deck ceiling. Once this was done, the ornamental beams were set in and the railing was done.
I appreciated the professionalism of the A.C. Cornerstone crew; I work out of my house, and while no construction job is quiet, there was no loud talk or radio blasting during their construction activities to disturb my own work. Also, at the end of every day, tools and materials were neatly stacked and the deck was swept and construction debris was removed. I felt that issues (and there were a few) were communicated in a timely matter, and solved to my satisfaction.
As far as the quality of the work, I am very pleased. The appearance of the deck is as if it was designed as part of the house; Paint and stain were carefully matched to the existing appearance of the original deck. Shingles were matched to the existing roof as well.
As for the railings, A.C. Cornerstone cut the pieces of the deck, stained them before assembly, and then stained the entire deck after assembly.

Everything was done as we asked. Jason does quality work, no matter what the job is, and he is always responsive, professional and considerate. Whenever we were unsure about exactly how we wanted something done, Jason always had great recommendations which we were happy we followed.

We have an electrical thing that tells us that we have a problem and we had a lot of rain and we knew we had a problem. It wasn?t pumping the water out of septic tank and our septic tank is huge, so he showed us where the wires had shorted. He dug through all that muck and mug and re-routed around our patio and replaced all the warning wires and the wires that took care o that pump. We spent about $800 on that work, but he had to dig out that for several days and had to go all the way around the patio. He fixed it and closed the system where it plugged in, so that it wouldn?t blow anymore because of the rain. We have never had any problem with the work and he came out when it was pouring and ran an extension cord across the lawn till he was able to fix it permanently.
