Woodworking reviews in Lewisville

  • The work and workers were very organized and punctual. My only complaint is I preferred cedar wood for shutters assumed that was what I was getting until I checked and found the price quoted was not for cedar wood but a cheaper wood ,but it was listed on work sheet cedar wood and a price. In the future I will check if item listed is what I am getting.

  • Sam at T-Rock met my adjuster at my home. Sam was able to point out many items I did not notice and probably the insurance adjuster would not have noticed. Sam was able to persuade our adjuster to not only completely replace our roof but to also repair fence damage, exterior hardy board damage, some exterior paint, replace gutters, repair broken windows, beading on windows, replace some screens, interior ceiling paint from water damage, replace BBQ grill and even replace my kids trampoline. I am absolutely positive that the insurance adjuster would not have itemized all the damage done by that one hail storm. Sam was on the roof and walked the whole property with the adjuster pointing out damage. Sam is like “a bull in a china shop” when it comes to insurance adjusters. I couldn’t be more happy when talking with next door neighbors to point out items on their home from the that same hail storm that THEIR insurance company did not repair/replace. If you use another roofer other than T-Rock, then it’s your own fault when your insurance company “misses” repair items.

  • Joe has painted both interior and exterior with beautiful results. He repaired loose handrails, repaired the back door lock, painted new door trim, removed damaged patio lights, installed new solar path lights and did touch up paint to prepare house for sale. His work is excellent. When a chair could not be repaired, he honestly spared us the time and effort. He makes recommendations to help save money. He works quickly and has a patient congenial manner. He is always on time. We have had him back three times to work and plan to have him again when we move.

  • Lousy. Very bad experience. Scott is overpriced and charges over 50% or more than competitive sub-contractors. After firing Scott, we found multiple sub-contractors who did the work faster, with excellent results, for half the price. Scott would not provide a detailed scope of work which included tasks, estimated material costs or work timelines and milestones. He stated, “I never have provided this and I never will!”. Scott will not perform work on based on timelines, milestones or your schedule. It’s always on his schedule. If he doesn’t feel it’s time to do something, he won’t do it, regardless of what you, the customer wants. Scott starts multiple projects but fails to follow thru and complete any of them in a timely fashion. When he is questioned about it, he becomes defensive and argumentative. When we asked to have specific tasks/projects he had started finished, we were told “NO! That’s not how I do it and you are not going to tell me how to do the job”. The only projects finished to completion were those requiring outside sub-contractors. We paid Scott weekly, but failed to see completed results for multiple started projects. We fired Scott and Floyd’s Construction for the things mentioned and other incidents. We spent $45,000 and were left with multiple incomplete projects. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Scott or Floyd’s Construction for any type of construction or remodeling work.

  • This was the final job for Robert, Lenny and Mary at our house. We could be the New Bath Technologies showroom, because they have remodeled every bathroom in our house. The first job was a bathtub to shower remodel for Jack and Jill bathroom. This was done in Onyx over 5 years ago and has been the best shower ever. Next they did a complete master bath remodel. This included custom tile corner tub, Onyx shower with frame-less glass and cabinets with Onyx vanities. Lenny also built frames around the mirrors and added cabinets/shelves above 2 toilets. I have written reviews for these prior jobs and have been 100% happy with the quality of the work. No corners are cut and I always feel like the quality is superb. For this final job (I don't have any more bathrooms for them to remodel) they did a complete remodel of guest bathroom and replaced cabinets/vanities of Jack and Jill. Lenny also framed the mirrors in Jack and Jill, adding cabinet/shelves above 2 toilets. For the guest bath they removed wallpaper/textured and painted. They tiled the floor with porcelain tile and did Onyx tub to shower replacement with heavy glass. New cabinets and Onyx vanities were installed. Mary has guided us thru these remodels providing expert suggestions and color recommendations. Robert is a pro that I can't express how impressed I am with everything he does. Lenny is an artist that can build anything out of wood. I have and will continue to recommend New Bath to everyone. They are easy to work with and can be trusted to deliver a quality product at price quoted.

  • It went exactly as Hector said it would. His experience, attention to detail and superb craftsmanship was precisely what I was looking for. The job involved pushing out a wall about 10 ft and floating the existing patio to match the existing grade of the reset of the floor. Moving plumbing, drains and electrical were part of this. Demolition was largely dust free. Waste was hauled away daily by Hector and his brother Mario. The structural work required was sound and strong. Mario did an perfect job with the ceramic floor tile and backsplash. The sheetrock work was perfect. Paintwork was excellent. Picking up all the cabinets for us was an added bonus. Installing the cabinets was also perfect. He even beefed up the cabinet drawers with glue to preclude failure. I am going to use him again. He finished a large project the day (one month later) that he said he would. His price was about 20% less than most of the bidders. Final cleanup was better than I expected.

  • My kitchen remodel was the first project that I had done by Chip's Kitchens and Bath. Everyone that came out to work on my kitchen was so friendly and would answer any questions I had. They made all new cabinets and the specific vent cover for over the stove top that I wanted. Granite counter tops, tile back splash and appliances. They also put beautiful wood look tile in my kitchen and the lower level of my home. Each day when the workers left, they left the area picked up and clean. My project supervisor would make sure that everything was running smoothly and if anything was needed. I love how my kitchen turned out! It is beautiful! I would, and have, recommended Chip's Kitchen and Bath.

  • A1 Eagle did a fantastic job! It looks like a new house. The city inspector confirmed it was quality work and pointed out places where many contractors might have taken short cuts, but they did not. The crew was professional, the materials used were quality, and every detail in the repair was covered.

  • I needed a new front door frame. I talked to Wil W/French Home Improvements. Wil looked at my door frame, and gave me a bid price. I called him on a Wednesday to set up a time. He had his framer out that Friday morning. The price was good. The time it took was expedient. The quality of work done was exceptional. It was such a relief to get this fixed, and I had peace of mind that a Lic & Ins contractor was fixing my home. Wil communicated with me the entire day. He contacted me the next day and day after to ensure I was still satisfied with the quality of work. I have been very please with the work done by William French Home Improvements

  • From beginning to end we have been impressed with this company. We wanted an outdoor living space and we had a tight budget with our own design ideas. We were listened to, and it showed in the price quote we received and the over all design of our covered patio and concrete base. They went out of their way to help us with the approval process with our HOA, and our project was completed in a week. The crews were professional, nice, and were very clean! I would recommend this company for any outdoor project!
