Since this was our first project ever, we had lots of questions which he patiently and honestly answered. Jenn helped with the design and again, patience and information was delivered as we decided on the looks for our bathroom remodel. Mark, Sergio and Jay were our team and they were friendly, professional, punctual, easy to talk to and most importantly did amazing work. ANew Bath Technologies LLCMary was very helpful when it came to redesigning my hallway bathroom. She had a no-pressure approach and was extremely patient with all my indecisiveness. She helped me narrow down my choices until I was comfortable with my decisions. Robert and Michael came out to demo the bathroom. I was impressed how they kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up each evening before they left. They were super friendly and hard working. A few days later Lenny came out with the most beautiful custom cabinetry. I was so happy with the progress at this point, I called Mary and told her I was ready to re-design the master bath too. Robert did a fantastic job installing the showers and vanity tops. I recognized then that Robert was not a contractor, but rather a craftsman who takes great pride in his work. Robert made sure things were done right. AEmpire General Contracting of Texas, LLCI normally don't feel strongly enough to write reviews. Carlos and this company deserve one though. I've worked with quite a few contractors and have had mixed experiences. The work done by Carlos and his sons was fantastic. The experience working with them was great. If you are considering hiring these guys, DO IT. They are the real deal. Fast, communicative, and attentive to detail. They were flexible when they needed to be! AEmpire General Contracting of Texas, LLCThis is the second kitchen I have had renovated using The Empire of Tile and Granite. I was referred to them by my mom who also used them for a kitchen reno. For this kitchen, we moved a cook top from the island to a wall and put in a recirculating vent hood. We took down a pantry wall. We moved some electrical. We had two sinks installed. We moved our washer dryer hookups. We had floors, cabinets, countertops replaced. The whole shebang. Carlos Castro is very helpful. He came to my house months before I was ready to begin work to give me some idea of cost for the various things I was considering, so I knew which cooktop and vent would work for my project. He brought me cabinet samples to my house (purchased on his own dime). The contract is very clear and reasonable. A+ all around, though I gave a B for price simply because, though it is fair, it won't be the lowest quote you receive, in my experience. His team is professional and very skilled and he has multiple 'foremen' who can help with project discussion, guidance, and issues on days when Carlos can't be onsite - though he makes an effort to be there every day during critical work and at least once a week otherwise. As with any project, keep track of changes. They do add up - but Carlos is very open and honest with those prices as things come up and often gave me ideas to reduce or maximize value for any additional costs.- Cailin S.

AKitchens Designed by Vivienne LLCMy wife and I were looking to remodel our kitchen but had lots of different ideas on how to do it, with no clear vision. My wife had seen Vivienne on Angie’s List years earlier and kept her contact information, so we made an appointment with her to discuss our plans. Vivienne was extremely responsive, and during our first meeting she explained all the services she would provide and listened to our ideas. She provided us with multiple floorplan options for the remodel, with many aspects we’d never considered. Her guidance throughout the entire project was outstanding, always providing us with the pro’s and cons of specific elements we thought we wanted while leaving the ultimate decision with us as to how to proceed. I cannot say enough about her responsiveness during the project, which occurred during the 2019 holidays but she still always responded promptly. We were even out of town and she kept the project going and communicated via texts and with photos! She guided us through all the various vendors for finishes, helping us to decide which was best for our space and our vision. We also appreciated her flat fee structure for her services. In the end, our kitchen is more than what my wife or I could have imagined, and we can say without reservation it would not have been possible without Vivienne. AInstallation was smooth as silk! The installers were on time, efficient and very professional. They left everything ship shape and gave us a walkthrough when done to make sure everything was in order and all the breakers were properly labeled. I was particularly impressed that they put on shoe covers before entering our home. None of the other contractors who bid on the job were that consciencious. Their price was slightly more than the other bids, but they were able to explain the additional value we were getting. I'd definitely hire them again.

FI signed an agreement with A#1 Solar company to install a solar panel on my house in the third week of August 2020. The representative of the company explained to me it would be completed within three to six weeks. Till today, Dec 20, 2020, the company is not able to finish the job. They do not have the technical skills to perform the job because they applied for the permits to the city, but the city rejected the plan several times because there were technical faults in it. They were also not able to get the permit from HOA so I reached out to HOA and the city requested them to approve the permit. Finally, they got all the approvals and they did a partial job. They install some panels on the roof of my house and said the rest would be installed on the patio later. Till to date, nothing has been done and nobody wants to explain it. Whenever I enquire about it, I am told that we would call you back with the information, but I never get a callback and the job is still unfinished. Their customer service is horrible. I called several times and every time somebody calls me back and listen to my concerns and promise to call me back but unfortunately, I never get a callback. Whenever I enquire about my questions, I get a lame excuse especially from the Manager such as I broke my phone, I called on the wrong no. He does not respond to my messages and does not pick up the phone. I requested the customer service to please get me connected with somebody at the higher post and a responsible person, but nobody listens to my request. The Company does not have enough technical knowledge about the solar panel and does not have trained staff to deal with the clients. I urge that please think several times if you are entering the business with the company. I have a very bad experience with them.

AThe techs were on-time and courteous. They blocked out and installed a new ceiling fan as well as add switches to an existing switch location to control the fan and fan light. I also had them replace and pull new speaker wire above ceiling and in the walls for our media room. The two techs did a great job and I would hire them again in the future when I have additional electrical needs.
