Phone calls were answered and returned quickly. Showed up on time, measured, discussed, was told they'd get back with me in about 10 days with a design. It's been over a month. I haven't heard from them since. I am very disappointed as I really had high hopes for this company, being local and having done a lot of work in the area. They even offered to show us some of their completed projects. Then......nothing.

    High Quality Sheetrock Repair
My husband and I are very pleased with Joe's high quality, professional work. One of the areas he repaired was a two story foyer. He always arrived on time and took care to cover and protect areas near the work. His price was fair. He has a pleasant personality and we will definitely hire him for our next project.

    C & K Painting
The job went well. The workers were on time and polite.  They did a great job painting walls, doors, trim, and baseboards. They were very neat and thorough. No drips. They were careful when moving my furniture and covered everything and laid cloths to protect my carpet and furniture. Corbitt did the patching and matched this texture well. He was here everyday to line out the workers and check on their progress. I am pleased with the quality of work and my refreshed home.

They did an amazing job. My kitchen looks absolutely beautiful. What they did with my cabinets, you would have to see them to believe it. They turned my oak cabinets into a antique white masterpiece. My island was painted a deep red with a glaze that captured the look from my granite. Again, it's beautiful! The team that worked on my house were very friendly and extremely professional!

    L & T Construction
Larry with L&T Construction came to my home with his interior designer to help me pick out colors and paint finishes for every room in my house. His price and timeline was accurate. He did cost more than some other contractors but him and his team were very professional and finished the job earlier than expected. His attention to detail was very appreciated. He was always available by phone any time of day. He is professional and easy to work with. We will use L&T Construction again when we decide to do more updates on our home.

    C & K Painting

I got a bid from C&K Painting along with a bid from another company. I chose C&K since they had the lower bid. An 11 page contract was emailed to me which we signed before they started work. They did show up on time each day, and usually three people were painting each day. The general painting was good. They put Kilz over the wallpaper in most of the rooms which covered the wall paper fine. All seemed fine until the last day when payment was due. Corbett (the apparent owner) produced a change order form which I had never seen before, and on it was a long list of additional work they had done and wanted to add payment for these items to my bill. The added charges were about $500, a substantial addition to the bid. I had agreed to an extra charge for removing the wall paper in the powder room and adding painting of a window sill in the dining room, but not to any of the other charges. First, he claimed that the entire powder room work had mistakenly been excluded from the contract, but the contract states: "The following rooms will have wallpaper primed, textured, and painted. Dining room, powder room, Kitchen, Jack and Jill bath." When I pointed out that I had only agreed to an extra charge for wallpaper removal of the powder room, Corbett said that I couldn't expect them to do the whole powder room for the extra charge agreed to ($140 if I remember correctly). However, as I already pointed out, the powder room work was included in the contract bid price, so no other extra charges should have been added. Also, there was about $250 of extra charges for fixing bubbles that had occurred in the paint. Nowhere in the contract does it state that extra charges would be incurred for this. In fact, Corbett had shown me a few places in the kitchen where bubbles had developed and asked what I wanted to do about it. I said that the larger bubbles could be fixed, but the smaller ones weren't really noticeable. He never said there would be an extra charge. He went ahead and fixed many of the bubbles, even the smaller ones, and added charges to my bill without my approval. When I complained and pointed out that I'd had painting done over wallpaper in the past and wasn't charged extra for fixing bubbles, Corbett whined that they must not have bothered to fix them. I thought his attitude was very unprofessional.  He did end up taking these charges off my bill when I complained, but I ended up paying hundreds extra for other charges. Again, nowhere in the contract does it state that C&K can unilaterally add charges to the bid price. I thought it was interesting that an 11 page contract was signed, but then he doesn't even stick to his own contract. Would any court of law uphold the extra charges when they're not supported by the contract? I don't think so. Also, while the general painting was good, the fit and finish was not. Two pieces of wood that were replaced by the garage were replaced with pieces that were installed backwards. The toilet paper holder in the powder room was reinstalled about 3 feet off the floor in an inconvenient location. There are places where nail holes were not fixed before being painted over. Overall, I would not hire them again.

There were several places where the drywall needed to be replaced entirely, and there was a really bad texture on the walls and the ceiling. Usually, texture like this is very expensive to remove, but he quoted a reasonable price for the work. I also had him paint the entire bathroom as well. He is very personable and easy to communicate with- he listens to what you want and offers helpful tips and ideas to get what you need done completed. He even did a few extra things that were not part of his bid, which was a nice surprise. He was professional and prompt- showing up every day at exactly the time he said he would. He communicated clearly to me if he needed to change the schedule or needed anything for the job. He has many years of experience and it shows in his work.
I felt so comfortable with him, that I gave him a key and left him in the house during the day. He did an excellent job all the way around.

    Levinson's Construction
It was a coupon special--I believe 4 hours of wallpaper removal and prep for $99.00.  The crew turned up with 3 (or 4, can't remember exactly) people, so they only worked for about 1.5 to 2 hours.  They didn't get the wallpaper removed, and in the process messed up the drywall.  I ended up having to hire someone else to fix the drywall and complete the job.  Would not hire them again.

Excellent work. Juan is very experienced and is a pleasure to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would rate his work a 10 out of 10.
