I would like to follow up in a year from now because I feel the key to a good company is their customer service a year or so down the line. My pool is 30+ years old and was in need of re-plastering, and tile replacement; tiles were falling off and poking out away from just below the coping and the motor/pump stopped working last year and needed to be replaced. As a single woman, I needed a knowledgeable person/company to listen to my concerns, access the situation and advise on the best route to take. If you need this, Ideal Pool Services is the place to go. Bill listened, accessed, and advised. He was always a text or phone call away. He put my mind at ease right from the start. A no-nonsense straight forward person. He took care of business in a professional way and because he's been in the business for so long, he knows what he's talking about. His estimate was reasonable (lowest out of 4) and never tried to nickle and dime me to death. What he estimated is what I paid. The equipment is working so much better than the old equipment we had when the pool was new, just as he said. I love the tile and craftsmanship and the plaster is as smooth as a baby's bottom. They came when they said they would and each crew knocked their work out in nothing flat. They did their job, cleaned up their mess and went on their way. The next day, the next crew came in and did the same thing and the third day, that crew did the same. My pool was up and running in 3 days and ready to swim in a few days later, (due to filling it up and adjusting chemicals). Would I use them again? Heck yes! Do I recommend them to you? Yes I do! Am I satisfied with the job? Bill has delivered on everything he has said so far and we are in our crystal blue pool every single day and night thanks to Bill and his team of experts. Give him a call, I honestly think you'll be glad you did. Barbara W

They explained that they would come by and look at it and that no one had to be home. I have outside dogs and had to lock them in my house because they wanted to come at their convenience Because of our work schedules I agreed to it. I never knew when they showed up. When I hadn't heard from anyone I called and was told that the service tech had left me a message. I had no missed calls nor any messages. I finally received a call back and was told that my circuit board was fried. The cost to replace the circuit board was 895.00 Plus the 100.00 service fee. I agreed. circuit board was replaced. That evening I came home and the inside control board had all the lights on. When I contacted the service tech he said that meant that the inside circuit board was fried. Another 700.00 plus another 100.00 service fee If they had agreed to show up when someone was home they would have found this problem immediately. I have asked several times for someone to check the Polaris and the Heater without charging us another $100.00 services fee and I was told that unfortunately that was not on the original work order and we would be charged a service fee. I feel that after both circuit boards were replaced that the service tech should have checked to make sure that all of the equipment was working correctly. This was not done, now on top of the 2000.00 have paid them we are still having problems and they offer no follow up or customer service. I will be looking for a new pool service company. I do not feel that we have received any services after the fact.

Gabriel came out, told me it would take about 4 trips. So I thought I wouldn't see results until closer to the last trip, but it was completely gone on his 1st visit. He continued to come each time to finish the job. It did take several trips, but my pool is soooo sparkling clean, clear and back to normal. Very pleased.

The pool company is by far the most incompetent group of people I have ever met. The owner and plumber were unable to locate the home drain so the company decided they would install inferior and high maintenance closed filter system, that was not agreed to. When the pool was not installed as promised the placement of the pool is not what was agreed upon (there is a huge cut out of the shallow end. They were awful at giving advice on slope, depth, seating and placement of features. They neglected to seal any of the sandstone that touches the water. The tiles around the pool are cracked and they refused to repair them. The adhesive from the tiles made large drip marks dow the side of the plaster, they never cleaned. When called for any issues they sent an elderly man out who had no idea what he was doing, all he did was say it was our issue jot thwres and his fee would be 400$. When I hired the pool service to maintain the pool, they neglected to even add chemicals or brush the pool. When asked when they would be cleaning the large inefficient filters they told us that would be an additional 500.00, on tip of our monthly 200.00. So far this has been the worst experience possible. We are so terribly upset legal measures are the next step for resolution of issues.

Feb. 19t,h 2015? Called BAPS (Bay Area Pools and Spas) to have them check my spa (noisy when one pump running).  They would send someone, who would call before coming, to check it out.  He didn?t call, but came and left a note which said the pump had to be replaced (bearings going out).  The note said he would order the pump and call when it arrived.

Week of Feb. 23rd: Called BAPS to determine cost and authorize work.  They didn?t know what I was talking about. (Right hand not knowing what left hand is doing.)  They finally said it would take 2 ? 3 days to get the pump.

Week of March 9th: Called BAPS.  They told me, after Right hand Left hand problems again, the pump was back ordered, but would be in on the 17th, 18th, or 19th.

Week of March 16th: Called BAPS.  Right & Left hand problems again.  My calls weren?t returned until I became a pest.  They finally said the pump wasn?t in.  They were waiting on their supplier (Sundance Spas) who promised the delivery dates.

Week of March 23rd: Called BAPS.  Manager was to return my call (again), but didn?t (again).  Called Sundance Spas Customer Service.  Found another dealer to fix my spa and told BAPS to cancel my order.  Waiting more than a month to have the spa fixed finally snapped my loyalty to this small business.

The person who came out to find the leak was very courteous and professional. He found the leak, and helped adjust the pumps to minimize the water loss until they could get back to fix the leak. The people who cam a week later to fix the leak were also professional and courtesy. They fixed the leak, and explained to me why the leak had occurred and what they had done to prevent it from reoccurring. They told me that the leak detection had a 30-day warrantee, so if I saw additional water loss beyond evaporation in the next month to call them back. The repair itself has a five-year guarantee.

We called our Home Warranty Company after we received a bad inspection on the pool.  We never received a phone call they had been out to inspect.  I called after a week to the number and was told someone was already out and they were ordering parts.  This made me incredibly uncomfortable and they couldn't tell me what they were replacing.  I asked to be told when they would come out to replace the parts.  They told me it would be Monday or Tuesday before the parts came in but they would let me know.
We received a call that the guy was 10 min away and we were an hour away from our house.  They left the trash there and then we had to call again because they didn't finish it.
When we asked why they didn't replace the heater we received no response.  After contacting our home warranty company for the third time and going through a supervisor, we were finally told what was wrong with our heater and now they won't be working on it.
I'd really rather pay extra money to be with a company that respects their customers.

Pool was started in March 2013 and as far as I am concerened it is not finished. He started off good but as time went on it took several calls to get him to come out and proceed with the next steps in the construction of the pool. I seems to always be problems with his subcontractors. Pool has leaked since it was built, if pumps are running it is leaking , I believe just on the PVC piping. Not sure if this is the only places since he has never got his taken care of. He has contracted American Leak Detection twice to come to pool and test for leaks and they have found leaks both times and Bradley has made attempts to repair. STILL LEAKING. We contracted him to have a pea-gravel deck around  the pool. He subcontracted a concrete company to perform this work. Looked good at first and then rust stains started showing up all over the deck from the iron ore I guess was in the concrete. Keep being told they could resolve this issue and the subcontractor never shows. Water bill for home has gone up due to refilling the pool. This man will promise anything when he will answer his phone but never follows through with anything.  the only means to contact him is his cell phone and he want answer it and his voice mail is always full. Looks like next step is take him to Small Claims Court to see what can be done. His design work is good. The pool and SPA looks nice, just the items listed above needs repaired and I couild be happy with job. Could never be happy with him. If you are doing business with him now, DO NOT FINISH PAYING UNTIL YOU ARE HAPPY

V and J's came out to plaster our pool and did a great job! Their bid came in $600 cheaper than other companies that came out so I was skeptical. I went with them anyways and am happy we did. They were punctual and quick. The quality of work is great!
