It's the best. They're very good, very thorough. They certainly aren't the cheapest place to go, but they are very thorough and very good. Their pricing is a little bit high, but you get what you pay for.

I've been using them a long time. They are fine, no problems. They're responsive. They followup and call you with the lab results. I always think they're high but I don't think they are probably any more expensive than anybody else. I don' t have any problems with them. It's convenient and I have a history with them. They've taken care of a couple different dogs. They've always been really good with them. They pay more attention to the pet than the owner.

They were great. I thought the price was fair. They were super nice about the whole thing. We used them before, not to put our animal down. We actually took our dog there a couple years ago as well. They don't pressure you into doing it their way, if you want it done a certain way. They were just super nice about it, and understanding.

I have only seen one vet here multiple times. The wait time can be long.  One time, which was a special situation, we waited for over an hour.  Their waiting room isn't childproof. I have two preschoolers and then the dog that I have to entertain while we wait.  Its not an ideal place for kids.  The office staff seem pretty indifferent with the kids in the office.

Initially, Brian was responsive, educated on this subject, experienced, and very professional. We needed immediate assistance and agreed to pay $650 for 6 weeks of in-home training for around an hour per session. We completed 2 short-lived (around 35-40 minute) sessions with Hank (our GS Mix) and Brian was walking him in circles the whole time while talking /educating me on human and animal behavior and interaction. I was a little skeptical by the 2nd session since I was not physically involved with the training process and it was critical for me to be viewed by the dog as an alpha or more dominant leader. Unfortunately, Hank attacked me in our home shortly after that 2nd session and I had to go to the ER and have physical therapy for 3 months afterwards. We had no other choice but to put Hank down for fear that he would do this to a guest in our home or a child. I explained the events to Brian and asked for a refund since we no longer needed his services. He said that the services were nonrefundable and we were allowed to transfer the whole package (entire 6 sessions) to our 2 other dogs or another family or friend. Our other 2 dogs are 12 & 13 years old and they didn't need any additional training so we agreed to transfer the package to our good friends, who live in Dallas. When Brian found out that they lived in Dallas, he tried to charge me an additional $195 charge to travel to them. Since this was a gift to our friends and we were allowed to transfer this package to a friend with no mention of a 'transfer fee' or a 'travel fee', we felt as though this was absurd to pay additional money for services that we were never going to use again or ask our friends to pay an additional fee for a gift they were receiving from us. I eventually offered to use one of the sessions as this 'fee' since Brian was not going to let up on this charge. Brian reluctantly agreed those terms and said that your friends could have 5 full sessions instead of the 6. Our friends called him several times and left plenty of messages between June 19th and July 12th with absolutely zero returned phone calls. Finally on July 12th, he text me asking for their phone numbers again to set up the initial appointment. He finally met our friends and their new rescued puppy for 2 sessions and never returned their phone calls again. At this point, I am completely disappointed and appalled at the poor level of service that we received as clients. Furthermore, we paid in advance for 6 sessions and technically only received half of them between our friends appointments and ours and are still owed sessions that neither of us will ever see. Lastly, we gave this $650 worth package to our friends and highly recommended Brian at the time and for this to happen, reflects poorly on us and our word and as a gift. We are completely embarrassed and feel as though we were robbed and scammed by Brian and are considering pursuing legal services. I would NOT recommend this company or Brian to any of our friends, family, or other Angie List members. >> Buyer Beware <<

I vas very disappointed in the service level and implied expertise demonstrated by the Summerfield staff during the initial scheduling of a beak and toe nail trim. My poor experience at Summerfield is related to their expertise with larger birds (blue & gold macaw), because I'm sure this animal hospital is good enough with dogs and cats, no arguing there. T

Their supposed "best bird handler" toweled the Sinbad (normal procedure) then proceeded to squeeze the birds head so tightly the skin tore just below her right eye and was bleeding (very unprofessional). They trimmed "Sinbads" beak then brought the bird back to me to settle her down at which time I went through the roof seeing her sitting there bleeding. Sinbad has been my companion since 1996, and we are as close as a person can get to a bird, so her pain was mine too.

Then they decided they really didn't have the expertise to handle such a large bird, and the person that normally handles big birds was unavailable. So after them rescheduling me twice, providing abusive (barbaric) treatment, and wasted a scheduled visit, they backed out and turned Sinbad away saying they couldn't proceed because they were "uncomfortable" handling the bird. Sinbad is a very docile, sweet, and friendly to strangers type bird under normal circumstances. BOTTOM LINE: Big bird owners, avoid this place like the plague. Their attitude was condescending and borderline rude, and my attitude at that point was not so good either in retrospect. I have pictures of Sinbad's bleeding face that I wished I knew how to post here, so my words will suffice in this case. A Truly Awful Experience with Summerfields Animal Hospital. A one star rating is one too many.

I would grade them an A, that is why I go there. He is just very good with my pets and He has taken very good care of them. I am very satisfied with him. There was no wait time. They are just convenient, the main reason I started going there was the convenience.

I did my research and based on reviews on various sites thought this would be a good practice to take my rescue dog. At our first visit, we received bad news that our rescue was Heartworm positive. I spoke at length to the vet about the process, procedure, and cost. I even went home and researched further. I decided to pay the almost $900 for the procedure and took Maddie back to the vet. She received a shot, 180 pills for a 30 day period, Heartguard, and a 1-page protocol sheet which we followed religiously. I called to make her follow-up appointment and they were confused by what Maddie had already had done and what she needed but I was able to make an appointment for her. A couple of days later, I receive a call seeking payment. Since I had already paid, I thought they were just an unorganized practice. When I called today to inform them that I had already paid for the treatment, I was informed that the $900 only covered the 30 days of pills, one shot, and the HeartGuard, and to keep Maddie on the treatment I would need to shell out another $800. I asked why this is the FIRST time I am hearing that the $900 did not cover the entire protocol. No answer. This is the absolute WORST kind of bait and switch I have ever dealt. I am filing a complaint with the Veterinary Board of Texas. I am devastated and appalled at their business practice. This is heartless.

We didn't find them on Angie's List. We have only been members of Angie's List for a couple of years. We found them right after we got our dog about 3 and a half years ago. The last time we were there we paid $187, our dog had an ear infection. The cost included the medicine and everything. There are no charges for follow up visits. When he saw him and he had a problem, the follow up visits were free. They treat the pests and their owners with a great deal of respect and they truly care about your pet.

Lori is amazing! We were blessed a couple of years ago to meet Lori and have her meet our 2 little girls, Paige and Pie. We could tell right away that Lori was going to be a great fit for our 2 Schipperke dogs. She was very professional and thorough in her initial explanation of her company's services. And, we could tell immediately the way she handled Paige and Pie that she had the compassion and love that we needed to feel secure about leaving our babies for any length of time.
This most recent trip was our longest. We were gone for 11 days. Our girls are now getting on in years and so they are not always the easiest to care for. One has diabetes and requires injections twice daily, the other has digestive issues and requires a keen sense of what and when to provide medication. And, then there's the sleeping issue! Sometimes, like aging adults, they require bathroom breaks in the middle of the night....or, they may be freaking out at a Thunderstorm! Lori puts up with it all, seemingly with a smile. What a super Mommy!!
Plus, when you come home,,,,there's even fresh sheets on the bed!
Basically, I can't say enough good about the services provided by PetStar Concierge. They are above and beyond anyone else, of that I'm sure.
If Paige and Pie could attest to their attributes, they'd give 2 Paws up!!! They love Lori and so do we!!
