    It's just more convenient. They really treat me good. It's a little slow sometimes that I would only rate them a B. It's all good. Their prices are equivalent to everybody else. The prices are average. They actually text me when my prescriptions are ready. The customer service is great.

    Excellent hospital, excellent doctors, some of them highly specialized, working as well at the med center downtown (fetal medicine). They saved my babies.

    Delivery went well. I stayed for 4 days and the nurses were very sweet no caring.

    Babies stayed a few weeks at NICU and were treated like royal princesses. The sweetest nurses ever.

    Very comfy rooms. Good food.

    I can only recommend.

    It is one of the best pharmacies we've ever dealt with.  We use them every month.  They have personal service.  They recognized you; they know who you are.  They are very friendly.  You can have one on one discussion with the pharmacist.  They are very accessible.  You walk up to the window, they'll come over and it's not just a clerk or some assistant, it is the pharmacist himself to come over and talk to you.  You can reach him on the phone easily and they will give you advice on medication and drug interactions.  They are great group of people that I deal with.  There is no long wait either.

    It is the biggest hospital in Texas. I don't make appointments, I go there if I have an emergency. I've been using them for 6 years now. I like the fact that they are competent and I dislike the fact that they are expensive like any medical place in the U.S.

    I applied for health insurance in October to be effective 1-1-2014. I later received a letter dated October 25, 2013, giving me my Member ID, saying and quot;Welcomeand quot; and that I could soon expect a personal call from a BCBSTX rep to help me get the best value from my new benefits, my membership ID cards, a printed benefit booklet, etc. I heard no more, so today I called the contact # they provided to inquire. The BCBSTX CS line (1-888-697-0683) placed me on automated hold for over an hour. Then a rep finally answered and put my on hold for and quot;a minute.and quot; That hold is going on now for over an hour and fifteen minutes. As I'm writing this I'm still waiting. BCBSTX has the worst CS line in the history of mankind. God forbid I should ever need to make a claim.

    The staff (nurses) were unresponsive.  It took them forever to answer a call for help.  Most of the time, I would see them just sitting around talking.  They were not pleasant or personable.  They could not advise of the status of my father.  There were only 2 nurses that were good and easy to work with, but they were not on duty everyday.  The night shift was worse. 
    My father hated it there and my Mom and I did not like it either.  He was sent there by his doctor so they could get his blood oxygen level stabalized so he could be moved to a rehab facility.  
     
    My biggest complaint is that we were only called and notified of his death after he had already passed.  He was fine when we left after visiting him on Saturday.  We were told that he went downhill overnight, he was not able to breath and his blood oxygen levels were low.  We did not get one call that night to let us know how bad he was doing.  At 9:00am Sunday morning, Mom and I are getting ready to go back to visit him and we get a call from a doctor that he has passed.   
     
    I am so angry that we were not called so that we could be with him in his final hours.  We were cheated out of being there for him.  And he was left to die alone!!!   Based on the care we saw him recieve during the day, I seriously doubt that they even monitored him overnight or even that a doctor was contacted to come in and see him.  
     
    I called to speak to the person in charge of the hospital to give them my complaint.  Someone took a message and said they person I needed to talk to was in a meeting and they would call be back.  Guess what, I have not been called back.
     
    Do not have your loved ones sent here.  They will not recieve the treatment and respect they deserve.

    I had to get a full allergy IgE skin test. The cost of this test was over $1000 but the appointment cost only $10 with Blue Cross Blue Shield. I have been on Blue Cross Blue Shield for almost a year now and have no complains.

    Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas has been our provider off and on for the last 10 years. My husband's company recently switched to BCBS of TX and this time around the plan has been great. Te benefits have been the best we have ever had and I'm glad the company switched providers.

    In general we are pleased with our coverage. It does seem that they have cut back on services this year -- we are more limited with the hospitals we can use, etc. But we have not had any problems with billing or coverage.

    Surgery went well . . recovery was a little spotty . . they released me too early as it turned out and I had to go back to the ER for additional treatment. That may be omore of a Medicare issue than a Hospital issue.
    Once thing that stood out was the lack of a GP checking in during my stay . . the Surgeon checked in once, but no other supervision other than nurseing ( which was generally excellent )
