Hvac Repair reviews in Jonestown

I had earlier paid for their annual VIP maintenance plan so there was no cost for it. Steve was punctual, professional, thorough and highly conscientious about ensuring he did not track dirt into the house. He's come to our house a few times in the past year and his honesty and quality of work is refreshing. I have an older system (13 yrs old) and most of the heating and A/C companies out there will try to sell you a new system instead of simply fixing the current system. Steve told us our system was functioning well with the exception of a fan motor capacitor that tested well under spec. For about $100 I get to keep the system going rather than being pressured into spending thousands for a totally new system.

Repairman (I believe the owner's son), found loose wires from when ARS Rotor Rooter worked on it (third time they've left things "loose"). Austex could have made up a story about needing a part, etc., but instead showed me the wires that somehow were disconnected, and presto--job done. I was so pleased that I chose to not use a coupon I had for 20 percent discount.

The young man who came out was simply exceptional. He explained everything he did and the complete situation as the unit is an old one and needed a fair amount of work. I have not had great experiences in the past with some of the contractors I've hired so this was a breath of fresh air and I cannot recommend Pardners enough to anyone who needs air conditioning or heater service. Definitely 5 stars!

Steve arrived on time...... He was very friendly and professional in his work. He measured starting current, system pressures, added freon and explained why my system was more noisy when starting in the heat pump cycle than in the cooling cycle. I would use the company again and would be pleased if the service tech was Steve.

As far as the heating and air conditioning it's been years it just nothing is gone wrong with it. I'm sure they could do good work but they didn't in our case. Our hot water heater is a little closet like thing in the garage and our garage is finished out with texturing and the whole work just like a room and they came out and look at the hot water heater and said it needed to be replaced so we said fine so we set up a date which was way in the future long time to go without hot water and at the appointed time this guy showed up and he bang around in the garage for a long time then he came inside and told me he had bad news that the water heater wouldn't fix in the space and he was the same guy that came out to look at it in the beginning so he knew how big the space was and after a lot of hassle supposedly no up to date water heater would fit in the space so he and the option was to go to Home Depot and look for old model hot water heater that would fit which of course I didn't want to do, so he said his only option was just to hack up the door to the little closet thing and I needed to get back to work and I needed hot water so I told him yes so after he finish it was a complete fiasco but we did have hot water so I took a picture of it and I sent it to the owner of the company and we had a couple of conversations and he refunded three hundred dollars for me to have the space fixed, but it was lousy communication and the guy, he wasn't a good communicator, his communication skills were about zero and he spoke English fine it didn't have anything to do with language, he was just very inarticulate and he was mad I couldn't decide if he was mad at me or mad at the company he worked for.

Originally sounded fine--then was told at end of service call that R22 was necessary.  Was told not to worry though because it was included in the Angie's List coupon for free.  Then told 2 pounds of Freon was necessary.  1st pound free. Second was $129.

Couple of issues.  First, it is unlikely a unit that has barely been used since purchasing the condo less than a year ago needed 2 pounds of Freon.  Second, if it did, a leak test should have been recommended since the need for that much Freon is very rare as these systems don't lose Freon through the years naturally.  The system only loses Freon if something is wrong.  Third, my invoice says only 1 pound was added and (on the same invoice) it says 1 pound is free from Angie's list (despite the $129 charge).

It is just not as easy to rip people off these days with the internet and not get caught.

So, either I just paid for services not performed (or unnecessary).  Or, my unit is severely broken and leaking Freon like crazy and needs to be repaired or replaced right away (particularly given the environmental hazard).  Given there was no recommendation to replace the unit or do a leak test--I'll let other customers decide what happened.

Britton has been superb to work with---prompt, courteous, on-time and professional, great communications and HONEST, both the office person and the technician.  After a long search, we finally feel like we've found a reputable company we can depend on to be truthful with us.  They have certainly earned out trust and future business.

I'd been looking for a good, honest company to service our 12 yr old heat pump.  I'd previously contacted 2 other Angie's List "A" companies and all they did was tell me what's "wrong" with the heat pump and try to sell me new high-end systems.    They were smooth talkers and I can easily understand how many people could be fooled by them.  That's the only reason why I can think that they've gotten such good reviews from others.

Since the heat pump seemed to be functioning normally and they couldn't even agree with each other as to what the "problems" were, I decided to contact Britton and am so glad that I didn't fall for those other 2 companies' scams.  Not only did the Britton technician tell us that our system is functioning well and needs no repairs, he also told me why the other companies' technicians were diagnosis were incorrect.

HVAC broke on holiday weekend.  Left messages for many companies that advertise 7/24 emergency service with no call back.  Patrick came over and performed a fuse fix.  Charged usual (not premium) service charge.  A 2nd problem existed that they returned for and did at no charge.  He will get my future business.

Larry and his crew showed up on time on a Monday morning. Actually, Larry arrived a little before the crew because they had to pick up the equipment, but he was able to begin installing the electric box and breaker. When the crew arrived, they made quick work of the installation, which took a little less than the three hours they estimated. First they mounted the interior unit on the wall and drilled the access hole through the wall for the copper refrigerant lines, drain, and electrical wiring. By that time Larry had just about competed connecting the 220 wiring to the breaker box for the outside unit. Next they measured the distance from the access hole to the outside unit and began fitting the external covering/conduit for the refrigerant lines and wiring. Then they connected the refrigerant lines and electrical wiring. When everything was connected, they tested the unit and showed me how to operate it. Once everything was judged satisfactory they cleaned up the area. The installation was very neatly done, and the Mitsubishi AC is working well now in my garage. It is, as advertised, whisper quiet and extremely efficient. I'm quite pleased by the work I've had done by Arise. Everyone I've encountered, from the technicians to the office staff has been responsive and professional and dependable. I expect they will continue to provide my AC and Heating service. In addition, since my unit was installed by a certified Diamond Contractor, Mitsubishi provides an extended 12 year warranty on the compressor and parts, and the warranty was registered by Arise and forwarded to me.
