This is the worst paint job ever! I hired Mr. Libby to paint 2 small bedrooms and 1 very small bathroom. He said it would be $1000. My daughter and I were concerned about the cost, but he said it would be a very professional job and therefore he charged a little more. When he said he was done after one coat, ALL the rooms looked horrendous! (See pictures below) He said he was done, and we said you need a second coat, there are spots of paint everywhere. He refused to put on the second coat, because he said it didn't need it. We were concerned because there was spots all over the walls, and I honestly suspected he was not himself, to be kind. His reason why it looked so bad? HE SAID HE WAS COLOR BLIND, TELLING US THIS AFTER HE PAINTED THE WALLS, AND THAT'S WHY HE COULDN'T SEE THE STREAKS AND MISSED SPOTS! My daughter and I spent the rest of the day helping him by putting tape where he missed. We aren't talking about a place here or there, there were streaks, areas completely missed, paint on the ceiling, and because he didn't tape anything off - paint on the trim in all 3 rooms, as well as paint several places on the floor in the bathroom that he didn't bother to clean up before he left. The worst part is he was so friendly that I literally got taken for $1000. He said he would come back to fix the spots, but instead, he cashed the check without finishing. He said he would come back for $1000 more to paint my living room, this is AFTER telling me he was color blind and leaving my house that way. I could not believe he cashed the check. I contacted him and he said he would return $200. That's an illogical amount since he literally put one coat on, not 2, so he did half, or less than half, of the job, especially if you consider the trim, ceiling and floor. The bid I received to paint a second coat in all 3 rooms, the ceiling in one room, the light switches, and the door trim in all 3 rooms, was much higher than $200. I forwarded him the bid and he never responded to my email. I feel so taken advantage of. Also, pertaining to the cost of the living room that he wanted to charge me $1000 to paint, paint not included, I hired another painter, with excellent reviews, who came highly recommended, and they charged me $200 for the living room, paint not included. They did 2 coats, not one, and it is beautiful. Mr. Libby says he is color blind, and yet he says he is a professional painter. It appears to me, he saw an older woman that completely trusted him, definitely my fault, and took me for $1000, didn't do the work, and cashed the check he shouldn't have cashed until the end of the job. I posted 10 pictures because that is all I am able to post on Angie's List. I have a total of 30 pictures all as bad as the ones posted.

I purchased a coupon through Angie's list to have three rooms painted. Rios Painting did call back the next business day but only to let me know he would call back that afternoon to schedule the work. I did not receive the phone call that afternoon but he did call me three days later. He again said he would contact me later that afternoon to schedule the work. Another three days and I still hadn't received the call back so I decided to cancel my order with Angie's list and requested a full refund since the work was never started or even scheduled.

All work was performed to our satisfaction and then some. in the kitchen, Jim's creative remodel result in our being able to use all existing cabinets and expanded our working area and greatly improved the kitchen's aesthetics. Jim would always go out of his way to ensure that the work was done properly. My feeling was that we hired a contractor, and made a good friend.

Amazing work! An absolute miracle worker considering the ceiling I had in my room addition. It was a false (tray) ceiling with a very tight space. I was super worried about him not being able to get texture in such a space, but amazingly he did and it looks amazing. We are a DIY family, but for this part I wanted a professional, and I am so happy I did. There is no way I could have done this quality of work. He matched my current texture in the house 100%!!! My so-so drywall job looks like I actually knew what I was doing. Very happy!

In a word - Excellent. The company that builds the shutters did not properly prepare the frames on the larger Windows for shipping, so the were bent during shipping. Rather than making them work - the frames are nailed to the window frame, which Rex could have done, his installers told me it would be better to have the company to build a new set for the two large window (9 ft wide x 6 ft high) frames. I contacted Rex and he got right on the problem and within two weeks the new frames had been built and installed. I highly recommend Rex and Mary. I found them to be highly professional and ethical. Their installers are top notch and made sure every shutter worked perfectly before leaving.

After contacting Yamil, he came to the house. We did a walk thru discussing all the work that I needed done, which was a lot.  Yamil was very thorough when discussing what I wanted done. Discussed everything from caulking trim, baseboards, nail holes, items to be removed off the walls before painting all the way to where I wanted them to clean paint brushes, pans, etc. I probably drove him crazy with questions but he never showed it. That night I received an email with his proposal/estimate attached.  After agreeing to proposal and starting date, they arrived on time each morning and were on time daily until the project was completed.  During the project I found some additonal work that needed to be done. He updated his proposal that night and brought it to me to sign the next morning.  He had another job after mine and asked if he could work on Sat and Sunday so he could get the additional work completed. I agreed since the additional work I had requested would extend his workload/timeline and I also wanted it done quickly as possible. They never missed a day until the job was completed except for one day when he had a minor problemwith his truck.  He (they) worked very quickly and were receptive to feedback, questions and minor adjustments along the way.

The floor in master bedroom and middle bedroom  is 2” lower than floor in hall. Yamil was able to transition the 6” baseboards by making slanted cuts on each side where floor changed levels. He was also able to locate bead board that matched the bead board we bought 7-8 years ago. He hung the new bead board where the stripes matched the existing bead board stripes in the living room! He even managed to match the stain on the knotty pine beams to the stain we had put on 7-8 years earlier. He was also able to cut down my shades to fit the new window casings on 4 large windows. He is truly amazing!!! Job started 02/25/16 and was completed 03/17/16.

Yamil is pleasant, energetic, humorous and easy to work with. He is a skilled craftsman.  Martin who seemed to be his right hand man was also very nice and the best painter I have ever seen. Yamil had other crew members on site as needed. Everyone who came to my house, worked hard. They were all very respectful and pleasant. They cleaned up completely at the end of each day. They even vacumn..

Beyond Handyman Services is an excellent company.  They do beautiful work within budget and to schedule.  We purchased a home in Austin from out of state and hired them to coordinate work to be done in a short timeframe by several subcontractors, as well as completing a huge list of their own.  Brent Helton was a trustworthy agent on our behalf and made sure the work was done to our high expectations, which we found out is also his standard.  He coordinated demolition of brick from the living room fireplace wall, on counter spaces, around four columns and an arch in the kitchen and the installation of Texas stone; electric & HVAC repairs/upgrades; plumbing for an upcoming kitchen remodel prior to the demolition & installation of reclaimed hardwood floors throughout.  And all of this within a month.  Their list included: painting the living/kitchen/dining spaces and closets; installed baseboard throughout; replaced thresholds & trimmed four doors to accommodate the new floors, made masonry & drywall repairs inside & out, replaced a toilet, advised on improvements/repairs and helped us create a schedule of future projects.  Brent worked very well with the sub-contractors we hired and when we needed other specialties, he offered excellent recommendations.  Brent proved himself as a conscientious, honorable, communicative, knowledgeable professional.  We highly recommend Beyond Handyman Services.  Brent and his people are our handyman resource and trusted building & construction collaborators.  They certainly live up to their name by delivering ?beyond? any handyman services we?ve ever used.

David replaced water damaged drywall in the great room from a AC leak in the attic. He also painted the affected ceiling. He was professional and courteous. He also kindly changed a light bulb in a very high light fixture. I would gladly use David again. Thanks, David.

Louis is very responsive and wiling to say when he doesn't think he can accomplish a specific task.  I appreciate his honest assessment of each situation.  I have used Louis on two different occasions and will use him in the future.

Robert promised 8-8:30 arrival and they were there at 8. They spread dropcloths and covered areas with plastic and moved out items that needed to be out of the way. The guys were out of the house by 3.  Came back the next day again at 8 and did the paint job on the kitchen ceiling and utility room and were done by noon. They were recommended by S&B and after their work I would recommend Robert's Sheetrock to anyone. The guys got after it and did a marvelous job.
