Concrete Repair reviews in Irving

Services from Collin County Concrete was excellent from the estimate, and throughout the project. They even went beyond by contacting possible contractors to fix additional items that was not part of their concrete job to assist in the overall project we were needing. Excellent is only words -- Exceptional work, attention to detail and amazing kind-hearted staff and team!

    Allied Outdoor Solutions
To be honest, I was severely disappointed with the service Allied provided me. While the end product (stamped concrete slab) met my expectations, I had multiple issues with the project both before and during construction. I went with this company because they had stellar reviews, and seemed to take special pride in their customer service scores. I was willing to pay a bit more to work with a company that would ensure I was happy with the results. In brief, the multiple problems I experienced were: Communication: Once I signed the contract and put down the down payment, it was many weeks before I heard back from my Project Manager on when my install date would be calendared. Granted, some of the delays were likely caused by the crazy amount of rain we received in Oct/Nov, but I never received a call/text explaining any of this. It was only when I proactively reached out that I got the updates I needed. Leaving equipment behind: On multiple instances, the construction crew left a utility 4-wheeler in my driveway overnight. Aside from partially blocking access to my garage, I feel that it also left me open to liability had it been stolen (it was clearly visible from the street). Fence damage: Apparently, in order to get the aforementioned 4-wheeler closer to the job area, the crew cut through my new 8' privacy wooden fence and removed/replaced this section as needed. Taking this action was NOT discussed with me ahead of time. While the fence section was put back, cutting through the horizontal supports as they did has weakened that entire area. In addition, the action of running the 4-wheeler through that area of lawn left significant grooves in the soil/grass - to the point where I now have to put bricks in the gap under the pickets so my dog does not see this as an escape route. Showing up in the evening with no warning: On at least one occasion, a crew member came back by in the early evening, at least a couple hours after everyone had gone home. Not sure what they were there to do, but the gentleman in question did not call or knock on the door - just walked through my back gate. Firstly, this is a dangerous thing for anyone to do, my live-in girlfriend stated to me that had she been alone at the time she would have been dialing 911 to report an intruder. The worst part of this is that there is a clear sign on both sides of the back gate stating that it MUST remain closed at all times. This is to prevent my dogs from getting out. Had I not noticed this person working in the area before my dogs did, they would have escaped out into the neighborhood to maybe be lost forever or hit by a vehicle. Cleanliness: Multiple days worth of empty soda bottles were left lying around. I even found one several weeks later tucked away in some equipment I had put aside. There were also two significant piles of concrete dust/stone/aggregate left in the grass to the side of the poured pad I explained these things in my review of the job with my Project Manager, and that PMs boss. In both cases, I do not feel like they were taking my not-insignificant concerns seriously. The damage to my fence was not repaired or paid for, and their excuse for their staff coming in after hours and leaving the gate open was basically "well, you cannot train good staff when paying construction prices for labor". This was especially infuriating since it involved the safety of my dogs. Maybe I am an outlier in all this, and Allied does a superior job most of the time. All I can say is that I feel like I not treated as expected, and would be VERY hesitant to hire them again for additional project work I have planned over the next few years.

    Expert Foundation Repair, LLC
Great from start to finish. He came to see and measure work area. Had proposal next day which was very competitive. I went forward he when, how work was going to begin, scope of work and gave timeline of completion. Very minimal disruption of property and finished with walk thru of work and property. Workers were polite and conscious of debris , trash, etc. Competitive pricing, exceptional work and great experience.

    MVC Concrete & Stone Construction
Not well. He responded to first contact, then made an appointment for the next day. Never called, and never showed up. Waited a day and called. He said he was in Shreveport and would call me back. Never called. Waited another couple of days and called him again. Again he said he was in Shreveport. He apologized for not keeping in touch and made another appointment. Never called never showed up. It has been a couple of weeks and he has not answered his phone nor returned my call.

I hired Garydean Mirabal on 1/3/18,we signed a contract for 20,000$ to demolish 1 room and bath, level house, pour concrete frame new bedroom barn and carport, and roof entire house. I gave him 10,000$ up front. Dumpster was delivered and sat in driveway for 2weeks before he showed up. He worked 1 day a week for the demolition, filled dumpster(too small) with half of the trash and left the other half in my yard for 2 weeks until he finally got a guy with a trailer to haul it off. He worked off and on for the next 2.5 months leveling the house(sub standard, house still not level) usually 1 day a week, never a full 8 hour day. He texted me mon 4-23 to inform he wil not complete the job or refund any of the 10,000$. He has only completed 15% of the job and only has approx 50 man hours on the job and approximately 200$ in materials plus dumpster rent. I am in the process of taking legal action.

    Crockett Construction
Brant Crockett came out to give us an estimate very quickly. He was also able to assemble his crew and get started in a very timely manner. They spent one day tearing out the old concrete, packing the surface, putting down the forms and laying the rebar. The whole crew worked very hard and no time was wasted. They were also very neat, cleaning up the old concrete and hauling it off promptly. They came the next morning to pour the concrete and smooth it out. They did a very professional nice-looking job! The curbs bordering the driveway approach were also in bad shape with large cracks so they poured new curbs as well. They put stress joints in to allow for expansion of the concrete surface. Again, they left the site completely clean and tidy. We are very pleased with our new driveway and the price that was charged. This company has been in business for 35 years and they definitely know what they are doing.

We hired Brent Crockett and he scheduled the men over within short time to work. The project was finished in 2 1/2 days. They even worked on Saturday! Hard workers and Brent Crockett is a fair business man. His dad started the company 40 yrs ago and Brent grew up with all the makings of good work walking alongside his dad. Project gets ***** from our family. Professionally done, men hard workers, Brent right there making sure it goes as planned. Now we decided we need to save for sidewalk/driveway replacement. Our family is very pleased.

Excellent work from start to finish: * Immediate response with a reasonable quote provided within a business day. * Clear communication using both phone calls and e-mail. * Prompt scheduling and execution and everything done exactly as promised, if not better. (Rebar for better quality than what we used to have). * Obviously owner-operated family business with a very professional, courteous, and efficient crew.

    Stenson Landscape & Irrigation, Inc.
The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. Stenson Landscaping trimmed two large trees, all hedges in front and back of the house, put in a raised flower bed in my yard and weeded the current beds and refreshed all the mulch. In addition, they cleaned up the yard better than it was when they started. The best part of the experience was when one of the owners made a comment to me that I am paying them and it their job to be more "picky" about the quality of work performed than I am. It is very nice when a company has that much pride in the quality of work they perform and they go above and beyond to make the customer happy. I have used this company in the past and will continue to use them in the future. They are outstanding.
