Auto Service reviews in Irving

It has not gone well. The warranty I purchased did not cover things as well as I was led to believe. I have had to pay more out of pocket than I should have. Once they told me they rotated my tires and I am certain they did not. Three weeks later, I saw I had problems and was told by another place that they needed to be replaced. BMW should have told me this. I would not recommend them.

    Tom's Mechanical, Inc.
He always takes great care of me and once even checked out a car for me I was considering buying from a dealership and the mechanic at Tom's found out that the it had been in an accident. The dealership pulled the Carfax which showed it had been in a wreck. That saved me a lot of money. I will highly recommend and use them, again.

Best service I have ever recieved by far. He was on time, completed the work faster than expected and did it correctly the first time. I haven't had any issues since. I would recommend him to anyone. Polite, fast and efficient is very rare to find.

I left my car for them to inspect and got a call a few hours later. They didn't find anything wrong with my transmission. The best part was that they didn't even charge me to tell me what was actually wrong with my car. I even tried to tip them and they wouldn't accept it. You don't find many places list this anymore.

We have to pay for the routine maintenance. It was about $50. That was for oil change, fluid levels, inspection. The car uses synthetic oil and there is usually a $26 charge for the synthetic oil. So, it is $50 for the service, but $26 of that is for the oil. They rotate the tires and all of that at the same time. Our experience with Eckert, since they are the place where we purchased the cars, we were very, very satisfied with our purchase experience and the service afterwards. The dealership is clean, its well maintained, there is no grease or oil on the floor at the service department. The mechanics tools are clean and well maintained. It is really very classy outfit and Mr. Eckert is apparently on site in the dealership every day. He owns it and he acts like he owns it.

I chose them because they are a Honda dealership. I have a CRV so I like to go to the dealership. They discuss with me before and then they call me and let me know what they are dealing with and then they let me know when they are done and provide me a print out of what was done.

They recommended $1800 worth of "needed" repairs. I went to a competitor for a second opinion, and they charged me $70 for a diagnostic and minor repair that fixed the idle. They are friendly, courteous, and responsive. But, they way overcharge. I will only use them again for factory repairs, or possibly for a minor fix. Anytime I have used their service dept to diagnose an issue, they have recommended costly repairs that turned out to be unnecessary upon 2nd opinion.

There was a little hiccup on the sales part of that because they had a brand new salesman who didn't understand about pre-qualified soldiers who were using USA-A financing, and so there was a little hiccup because they didn't have all of the forms to do the sale. And so I was stuck waiting at the dealership for them to get the forms faxed in and there was some other paperwork issues with the sale because the salesman was not experienced, but by the time we went to get the second one, they had it all ironed out. When I saw it on the lot at $15,000, I was like, "You have cars for $15,000?" They said, "Yeah." "Are they any good?" "The college students here buy them like hotcakes! They love them!" The inventory salesman intervened and dug the new salesman out of the muck.

Because we financed through USA-A, they give you the true car price, so you don't have to hassle with them to get them down to the true car price because you're a soldier and you're a disabled veteran, they automatically give you the true car price. You don't have to grind them down to that price, that's the price give you day one. They just said true car say that this car is supposed to sell for this much money, that's what you'll pay. The sale of the Hybrid Sonata was an A front to back for everything. And the thing is, the Hyundai Sonata was voted by IntelliChoice as the best car in America, and boy has it been a dream car! It gets 42 miles to the gallon. And it's a full size sedan and it gets 42 miles the gallon. It's incredible! It's unheard of! I told my wife, "If you get a big car, the gas mileage is going to kill us." And she said, "No, they said they have one that has the battery in it and a hybrid system and they said it gets good mileage." And they were not lying! And the thing is, it was so cheap! These cars were absolutely incredible!

They have a nice, clean place, but they're very high. They charged an arm, and a leg then said they couldn't fix what needed to be fixed. Honestly, what we paid them to fix and then we drove it off the lot and noticed that it was something wrong with like the front end suspension and drove it a couple of days, then we drove it back in and they're like oh yeah, your struts need to be. It's like why didn't they discover that because we felt that as soon as we got off their lot.So, no I wouldn't recommend them. My mother, whose 90 thinks they are the bomb, but um. Because they have a nice, clean waiting room and they have Keurig and are approved, ' know how you' trying with. My moms not on the budget that we are, so I don't think she even pays attention when she picks it up, she just pays it. That's what happens when you have a good retirement, but we have to budget and look for the best value. They're usually pretty busy.
