    This was a nightmare from the start. The roofing crew showed up a week before they were scheduled, luckily we were able to work from home to accommodate the the unannounced change. The sales person we had, Mark Sutherland, didn't even call to say anything about the change and we didn't even hear from him until the next day after the roof was done saying he was with another client. We ended up having to call the roofing company back 3 times to fix leaks that we didn't have previously before the roof replacement. Then a couple of weeks later a painting company showed up at the house unannounced, stating that Mark was supposed to accompany him but neither of us could reach him. I let them in, let them take measurements, got their company information, and took pictures of him and his truck in case, but again didn't hear back from Mark until a couple of days later who again said he was with another client, I thought I was a client too. The painters were very nice guys and seemed to take their job seriously but didn't paint 2 of the areas that had water damage and a large area in the upstairs bathroom is still very visible. I had agreed to let Classic take the claim to appreciation so they could get a little more money for the repairs needed and they agreed to waive my deductible and that took a couple of months which was expected. Then came an issue with the check from the insurance company. Classic and Safeco/Liberty Mutual apparently have had recent court proceedings for Classic saying they are doing things and getting paid for them but not actually doing them. So the second check had a stop put on it until both parties could agree on a time to come out and look at the work Classic was saying they were doing. This took about 6 months to finally get settled and I received the second check but during the interim I had not heard from Mark or anyone else at Classic. Once I received the check and let Mark know I had it in my possession he then calls me and tells me that the over 18 thousand dollars they are getting for the work is not enough to cover everything and I will have to pay for either the Garage Door or the replacing the Gutters out of my own pocket. This was obviously not in line with our contract agreement and made me lose all trust and faith in Mark and Classic. I obviously denied him the second check and advised I would be contacting my insurance company and probably an attorney as this was not right. Mark made many insulting and degrading remarks in regards to my not giving him the second check and paying for one of the remaining repairs out of my pocket. He told me things like "it is simple math" because they didn't get quite what they wanted in regards to appreciation amount and "I thought you were a reasonable person but apparently not" I sent him a copy of the contract that we had that had nothing about simple math. I also apologized for not being a "reasonable person" and not just giving them money that was intended to fix my house and not line their pockets. Mark and I did make an another agreement, even though we already had one, that I would pay half the remaining check after the gutters were done and the other half after the garage door was replaced. Mark came to my house on Monday, after his car accident, so we could draw up another agreement as I did not trust him or the company and he then asked me if I was free that upcoming Friday for the garage door to be replaced. I advised I would be available and that I would make it work just to get this done and over with, my wife tried to accommodate but had work meetings should couldn't miss. I sat at my house on Friday until 2pm with no call and no one showing up to replace the garage door. When I called Mark to ask what was going on he said he meant "If I was free any of the upcoming Fridays in the near the future, not this Friday". My wife was present when he was at my house and had the discussion, she agreed that is not what he said nor how she understood his question. Remember, she had even offered to be home that Friday but I could more easily accommodate due her meetings. I was super upset at this point, I wasted an entire Friday morning, received poor customer service as he was acting like it was my fault, I admit I was not nice to Mark on that call. I then advised that all our communication needed to be writing via text so there is no more confusion. I had never experienced anything like this in my entire life, the lack of communication is just horrible and Mark saying one thing and doing another just made the stressful ordeal that much more stressful. I would not recommend this company, I would not and will not ever do business with them or Mark Sutherland again and I would suggest you find an actual roofing company and not a general contractor. Also another side note, I had referred Mark to a close friend and my friend backed out of the deal with Mark stating he was saying one thing but clearly doing another and he didn't trust him. I wish I could have backed out when he told me that but we already had an agreement.

    Brandon Burchfield was my technician. He was polite and professional. He was great at explaining things and even helped me reprogram my car to open the garage. I chose a top of the line option that allows me to control my garage door from anywhere using my smart phone. By the time he left the garage door was working beautifully and quieter than I've ever heard for a garage door. I would not hesitate to use Family Christian Doors again in the future.

    I ask for recommendations on Nextdoor site and was told this company was "the best", so I called on Friday afternoon and was given an appt on Monday morning, which I thought was great, but a little later they called me back saying they had a tech who had finished his previous job early and could come Friday if I'd like. Chris S. came over and fixed the problem very quickly and professionally. He was very nice and obviously knows what he's doing. The whole experience was GREAT! They truly are the best! And I highly reccomeommend them.

    Welborn answered the phone on first call.  Scheduled same day service.  Arrived at prescribed time.  Rather than up-selling or cross-selling, Jason found a cost effective solution to repair and went out of his way to get the correct part.  Aside from having to leave for 30 minutes to get the part, took all of 20 minutes to repair.  Excellent service/experience and Jason was superb.

    I have contacted 3 different garage door companies regarding the installation of windows into my existing sheet metal garage door. One provider never bothered to call me back. The other one showed up and could not tell the make of my door and asked me to find out the make from my house builder. IOD folks were different. They answered my call from the first time and asked me for pictures of the door and promised to get back to me within a day to let me know if they can help. Sure enough, they got back to me and were able to figure out the make of the door based on the pictures I sent,  Within two days from contacting them, they installed the windows in my garage. Also at no additional charge they installed new springs in my control box, tuned up the door and fixed my remote control. Cary is the technician who worked on my door. He was truly professional and took his time to ensure every thing worked and looked good. I highly recommend this place and will recommend it to family and friends.

    I contacted Doug Holloway, the owner, on Monday, June 15th to inquire about replacement of my garage door.  He said it could be done that Wednesday and was going to call me back with a time frame.  He called back and asked if it could be done on Tuesday instead.  Sure!  Ray showed up on Tuesday well within the two hour window I was given.  He was personable, professional and competent.  He explained what he had done and offered tips on maintenance.  I would highly recommend Independent Overhead Doors to family and friends.

    I am VERY pleased with IOD, they are professional, punctual and did great work for a great price.  I contacted Doug late in the afternoon on June 9th and he scheduled my appointment for the very next day.  Doug was very courteous and thorough in explaining pricing and provided an over the phone estimate when I told him the work that was needed.  Cary was our serviceman and he was just as nice and detail oriented.  The work was done quickly and very well.  Cary even took the time to come back after he had already left just to double check our rollers, which weren't even part of the work we had requested.  He changed one of the bottom rollers for a longer one to make it more secure and he even reinforced the door, which was another extra he did just out of courtesy.  I could not be happier with their service, they are wonderful to work with and I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.  Top notch company:-)

They did what they were supposed to do and recommended future needs. Even though this is a very old door they told me what was needed to keep it in good operating condition rather to simply jumping to the need for a new door opener. I will call them again.
