    AUTO HOUSE
Owner is rude and unprofessional. Charged me $1000.00 to change some wires that didnt need to be changed, and to replace the break pads. The problem I was having was not fixed at all and he would not do anything to reimburse me for the unneeded repair he did. I am still jump starting my car due to the battery being drained by something? He was a jerk to me and was going to charge me another $100 to put it on the diagnostic machine again after I had just paid him $1000!!!

    Hurst Tire and Service
I went in to this establishment to get my car trip ready for my son that was travelling to Denver. I went ahead and got the oil changed even though the car didn't need it. As my son was driving up the mountains in Denver, the car made a terrible noise and stopped running. The engine seized up. After getting the car towed 100 miles to the nearest Goodyear. After taking to the shop, I asked them what had happened. They informed me that no oil was leaking from the plug and no oil was leaking from the oil filter. I asked them to drain the oil from the vehicle to see how much oil was in my vehicle. Upon draining the oil it was discovered that there was only 1.5 quarts of oil in the vehicle. The mechanic at the Goodyear in Denver said that he could not really explain where the oil went, but he also stated that he believed that there was a good chance that the Goodyear in Hurst did not put the proper amount of oil in my vehicle. I called Goodyear in Hurst and was blown off by the management specifically Paul O'Banon and shipped off to an insurance adjuster that they pay to cover the cost of damages to cars. After the insurance adjuster delayed a week in looking at my car while my son was stranded out in Denver because there were no cars available for rental because it was Christmas he told me that they could not say for sure that they could state that Goodyear did not put the oil in the car so they would not pay for the damages that they caused. The mechanic at the shop told me that they adjuster that they sent out to look at the vehicle had no idea what he was doing and he had to show him the parts of the car where there could potentially could have been issues. So before you take your car to them make sure that you ask yourself do I want to take a chance. Do I want to roll the dice and have an incompetent mechanic not potentially put oil in my car. After all was said and done they could not claim what caused the fact that there was no oil in my car. But they could claim that they could not pin point it them not putting oil in my car so they decided not to pay. I am taking them to court and highly recommend that whenever you think of taking your car to a shop that you think twice before taking it here.

    A & B MUFFLER BRAKE & TRUCK ACCESSORIES
I took a Lexus sc400 into Steven's shop when I had problems with brakes and power steering. I told him this was my late father's car and it had been sitting and I was not sure if power steering fluid had coagulated or if there was a power steering pump problem. I asked him for a high price estimate to fix power steering pump replacement and to change pads and rotors and he told me about $300-350. We both understood that he would need to check the car out further to get exact costs and he assured me he would contact me before working on the car. I told him this was my late father's car and I was selling it and did not want to invest a large amount of money in a car that I was not planning on keeping. I had already gotten an estimate from a service station across the street from his garage for $150 (rotors and pads for all four wheels) I told him brake pedal went all the way to floor and I assumed there may be more to fix problem than just rotors and pads. Without ever receiving a call from Steven outlining the problems he had found he decided to put brake pads, rotor and calipers on the back wheels only and put on a serpentine belt. I did not need a power steering pump at all. According to him the serpentine belt was the cause of power steering problem. So, without any notification of price or any phone call to let me know what the actual problems were, he decides to put on the belt and replace back brake pads, rotor and caliper. He then charges me $440 and threatens to keep car if I do not pay him. But the lack of phone call is not even the worst part of this. Even though he took it upon himself to do the work I mentioned above he did not fix the main problem with the brakes at all. The brake pedal still goes all the way to the floor board making it impossible to stop car safely. This is because the car needed brake booster replaced. The estimates I have received on fixing this problem is another $450. So, because Steven decided to half way fix the brakes and do additional work I am stuck paying about $1000 dollars that I am not keeping and has too many miles to make the money back on these repairs. He knew all this and knew exactly what he was doing. He knew I would tell him that I would not want to repair car at all before selling. When I confronted him about the lack of phone call and actual pricing he became extremely belligerent (yelling and pacing the floor in uncontrolled unprofessional manner) After paying Steven to get my car away from him, he points out that if I do not like what he did then I should take him to small claims court. Even though, we all know what a hassle that is going to be he has left me no recourse. I would not trust the positive reviews that can be so easily manipulated because I would be amazed if this the first time he has treated his customers this way. He is not an honest person.

    Fat Lip Customs
They did a good job on the window tinting, but they did damage to my car.  I was furious.  The tinting looked fine - there was no bubbles or any issue about that, but what they did to my car was not fine.  That shows that they didn't take proper care of my car by applying all that liquid on the film. When they applied all that liquid, that's what got that specific unit wet and caused it to short out.  There was no customer service when it comes to something that they did wrong or having to own up to it, or offering to pay a couple hundred dollars toward that expense you incurred.  They just wouldn't even talk to me about that.  They were wonderful when you take your car in there, but literally, on the way home from leaving their shop, my Prius lit up like a Christmas tree and all the death lights lit up, i.e. stop the car, do not drive the car.  I don't think I even made it one mile from home and had to call people to come and help me.  That went on for a week.  I had to get it towed to the Toyota place and by the time I found out what it was, I called Fat Lip Custom and told them what happened to me.  They didn't want to accept any responsibility whatsoever about what happened with my car after taking it off their property.  They changed their whole demeanor; they weren't the nice guy anymore, they just wanted you to go away.  They didn't want to have anything to do with you.  They were not professional at all.

When I first took my car there, they were telling me I had to replace the major motherboard computer.  They gave me a price of $2,000 on a major electrical component that I did not have to have replaced.  The service manager was a total scammer and was poo-pooing everything I said, and on the second phone call I put in to tell them what actually did happen, he wouldn't even return the call back.  I felt like I was talked down to.  They need to be more responsive to their customers and explain things better, the different options available to the customer, and to not talk down to the customer as if the customer is an idiot.  Never again will I take my car there.

    KINNEY'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE
I called Kinney's. The mechanic listened to my description and said it might be something much simpler and less costly. He said they could fix it all the next morning. I had the car towed. By 9:30 the next day, Kinney's called to say they found and fixed the problem. Some bolts had come loose on my back passenger tire. Nothing more. It didn't even cost $75. I was impressed with their concern for my plight, their prompt attention, and especially their honesty. I firmly believe some other mechanics would have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge. I highly recommend them. I have found a new mechanic.

After a while they brought the car out. They had washed it. I got in the car. I pushed the buttons and I saw the tires were low. They had not checked it. So I took a look. The thing they stick on your windshield on the upper left, it was the old one. I realized they didn't change the oil because they didn't check the tires and they didn't change the sticker. I went back and they said, "Oh yes, we just forgot to put the sticker on." I realized then it probably was a sham thing where they had probably not changed oil at all, they just made money. I would tell a member not to go back.

We went in and we had been negotiating. The price was pretty good. They asked about extended warranty. I said, "I'm going to shop around." The guy said, "You can't shop around because you can only buy at the time you buy the car. That's the only time you could buy an extended warranty," which was a lie. He lied to me. And then, I said, "How much is it?" He said, "$2500" Since I wanted to get an extended warranty, I bought the extended warranty. I said, "Now, I want to make sure that this is zero deductible." He said, "Yes, it will be zero deductible." Anyway, the contract came and it wasn't zero deductible, it was $100 deductible. He lied to me. I said, "Okay, I'm canceling this," because meanwhile, I had found out that he lied to me about whether I can buy an extended warranty afterwards and I could. So I said, "Cancel it." Every few days I called to make sure they canceled it. They didn't cancel it because after 30 days, I can't cancel. He said, "Come in. I'll put my signature and change it on the contract," and I said, "No, you can't. It has to be changed in the computer. This has to be canceled and a new contract issued." They just didn't send in the old one. But I had a copy and I mailed it in directly and said, "Cancel this," and they did cancel it for me. Then I brought one for $1500 elsewhere, I went online. It was $100 deductible for $1500 instead of $2500. So, in summary, one, they lied to me about when I could buy the contract. Two, they lied to me about the deductible. Three, they lied to me about whether or not you can change a contract because you must change it in the computer. Four, they wouldn't cancel it when I asked to be canceled.

    GRUBBS NISSAN/GRUBBS CHRYSLER PLYMOUTH
There was a long line of cars. The reason for the long line of cars was I'm very stupid. I forgot that on Monday they had free car washes for their customer. Anyway, I wanted to get a battery and I wanted to find someone just to look at this little thing where you put things. I did something very bad. I put my car up in line and then I got out, locked the door. I went over to parts and got a new battery. Also, I went to seek someone back in service to come and look at this problem I had. When I got back, there was a guy who was very agitated because he couldn't move his car. I didn't care. Anyway, I had my battery and he looked at it and he pushed it and he says, "No, it's okay. It gets stuck once in a while." So then I left. So I can't go there on Mondays and I can't trust the service guy to have the part. When I called a week before and he says, "Just bring it in," because he will never call me and say, "It didn't come in." They charge $14 for the battery. It was more expensive. I could have got it cheaper at Walmart. But I didn't know what the battery was. I will never buy another Nissan. I will use them for parts, but not for oil changes.

I took it in. He took the car back and after 15 minutes said, "We just had it adjusted." So I said, "Okay." So then, I took it to Grubbs and they hadn't done a thing to it. Grubbs changed the latch completely. They said they did it, but didn't do it. I haven't been over since.
