Firefighting's Finest Moving & Storage Inc of Houston
They arrived late, the "Supervisor," was a low self-esteemed, and kept asking the Muslims that worked with him what he was supposed to do the entire time! We did a walk-through of every single room so that they could take inventory. In the kitchen, I specifically told them NOT to take the refrigerator, that it belonged to the corporate leasing agency. Moreover, I have an expensive, brand new, formal, Amish dining table and 12-chairs I had just purchased from Gallery Furniture. The table had a flaw and GF had ordered me another table. I asked (when in the formal dining room) I kept reiterating how important it was for that to be loaded into the van FIRST, in order that it would be the last item out of the truck at the storage building; making it available for GF to remove it and put our newly re-ordered table inside. But no, they placed it in the very back of our 30' storage building. We would later find that out when GF called to make the swap. My 69-year old husband had to unload the building to get to the table. Our 24-year-old son stayed with the house as we had to leave for one hour. Within 40 minutes we were a few blocks from the house when the supervisor called and said that they had everything out of the house and was driving over to our storage unit. I remarked that they were fast, and he said that they left only a few small items that I would be able to put in the back of my pickup truck. I met them over at the storage unit and unlocked it. My son calls me and says that I had better come home quick, that their was a problem. We went home (2 miles from storage) and inside the home, the movers had left so much of my belongings in the house! The portrait boxes that I paid for the mover's through Lance, the Manager, were laying on the floor and my portraits were all still on the wall! And to boot, my brand new lawn tractor, a $4,000. dollar mower, the mover's had left on the curb alongside things that I had laid out for the trash man to pick up, or anyone that wanted to come by and rummage through the stuff! I called the "Supervisor," and he told me that it wouldn't fit into the moving van. So...you just left it on the curb with the garbage? I asked. I had to drive back to the storage and confront him. But before leaving the house, I went in the kitchen to grab a bottled water off the bar. That's when I noticed that the refrigerator was missing. I drove over to the storage building and they had already packed so much into the building! Fast, yes, but inefficient. When I told him about the refrigerator, he put his hands on top of his head and yelled out, "Oh my God, I can't do this **** anymore!" He then told me that I would have to pay more money because of having taken them so long! I told him I was calling Lance, the Manager. I asked him about the refrigerator, and he said it was the first thing that went in...that meant pulling everything out to get to it. Not my problem, I told him, you were never supposed to have taken it out of the house. He even had it written down on the paperwork from the walk-through. Lance, the Manager, claims to have offered me my money back after the botched up move, which incidentally, took an additional three hours to get everything out of the house that the movers decided they didn't feel like moving. I couldn't believe these people. Lance, the Manager, claims that he offered to give me my money back. I would have said yes, in a New York minute. He's a liar. He never offered such a thing. My family and I were exhausted as the crew did not come back to the house to help us move. Only the supervisor, if you can call him that, and another worker. I had used this company once before and had a great move. The clowns that they sent to my home were incompetent. With that bunch, you NEVER know if you'll get a good group or they send in the clowns.

    A-1 Professional Movers
AWESOME JOB! The 3 men that helped my fianc move into our new home on (12/15/16) were were on time(few mins. early), extremely professional, hard working and have a strong work ethic. They disassembled /reassembled furniture with ease, placed items where instructed and didn't play around or milk the clock like most movers. I would definitely use again.

    Square Cow Moovers
Scheduling was very easy and the guy on the phone was super friendly and upbeat. I scheduled them to help my mom move out of a two bedroom humble home to a house in the heights, closer to where I live. I was confident theyd do a good job based on reviews Id read. On the day of the move, two workers arrived with a large truck. My mom, being the nice, thoughtful lady that she is, bought kolaches for the crews breakfast. The guys excused themselves to the truck to eat while still on the clock. No big deal... until more than enough time to eat had passed. My mom assumed theyd come back to work after eating, but found them in the truck both staring at their phones, meal complete, all on her dime. Note that this company charges $100 per hour. To make matters worse, these two guys didnt know what they were doing. They moved incredibly slow and wasted a lot of time, seemingly on purpose. Eventually, my mom called the manager and he offered to come to the job site and handle the situation. Once the workers heard that, they began to actually do their job, but the damage had already been done. She ended up paying almost $600 for a job that should have taken significantly less time and certainly less frustration. I am disappointed with the level of professionalism that these two movers brought, but am satasfied with how the manager handled it. I would not use this company again, nor would I recommend their services to even my worst enemy.

Firefighting's Finest Moving & Storage Inc of Houston
FFMS will break your stuff and is over-priced!! We hired FFMS to pack and move to storage the few items we could salvage after our single story home flooded during Harvey. Over $2,000 of items were broken or damaged in the move and Lance Potter, the general manager, will assume no responsibility even though his crew packed the items. We hired them to pack and move what survived the flood. We chose to store our items in a self storage unit so we could access it during the rebuild. We were unable to supervise the packing (but they are professionals, who would have thought supervision was needed?), but had concerns when we saw them load a large picture frame box into the storage unit and a piece of glass fell out. Kyle, the crew lead initially pretended like he hadnt kicked the piece of broken glass under another box, but my daughter confronted him and insisted he open the box. There were two pictures with broken glass and damaged frames (placed face to face with no bubble wrap or padding) which they finally admitted they had dropped. Kyles comment was well this is going to come out of my pay. Lance Potter ultimately paid to repair these two items, but I have no doubt if my daughter had not confronted Kyle at the time, he would have denied any responsibility for these items being damaged. When we finally moved back into the house, we were able to see how poorly the FFMS crew packed the rest of our valuables. A large flat screen TV was placed in a box without any bubble wrap or padding and ended up with a broken screen. I had hand blown glass decorative items packed together with one layer of bubble wrap next to an eighteen pound vase. Of course some of the glass items were shattered, but Lance Potters comment was well they didnt all break, did they? After we rebuilt the house following the flood, we did not have FFMS move the items back into our house due to the negative experience we had when moving out. Save yourself some money by going with someone else: FFMS charged $1396 to move our items into storage (packing was an additional $2000) and the exact reverse move by a different company was only $505. So, save yourself money and a headache and hire someone else unless you want to deal with broken items and a snarky manager. Its a shame there are companies that treat people like this when they have lost so much in Harvey.

    Student Movers
We hired these guys to move 20 boxes, two beds, one mattress, one couch, a couple suit cases and one lazy chair from an apartment to our house 10 miles away. They showed up late and parked their trailer on the wrong side just because it was convenient to them. Their office told us that they will send 3 ward robes. These two guys said that the office did not give them ward robes and we have to take care of our hanging dresses by ourselves. You can imagine how inconvenient it was for us.They were slow to the extent of laziness. It took them 3 hours to pack the above stuff, it was painful to watch them do that. They brought their trailer to our house and parked 3 feet off our drive way, destroying our landscape. They showed very hostile attitude when told that they were destroying the grass. One of the guy, Pat, started showing passive aggressive tantrum when asked to place certain things at certain places. He started yelling and using curse words to us in front of my other workers. I asked him to leave the house or I would call the cops. He seemed to be very unstable mentally and emotionally. He left the mattress and other furniture in the middle of the house. His other buddy, Brian, came back and moved the other stuff back with my help when he was called by his office. His manager, when called, was only concerned about the payment and did not seem to realize our concerns. So be careful when hiring these guys. They may be cheap but they are not professional at all. The company might be hiring some dudes from the street who have no idea of customer service or better communication. We were in a time crunch when we hired them just because my wife saw the truck in the complex. They were willing to do the job at the time requested. I would never hire them again and advise people to go for professional companies who may be a little pricey but will give you peace of mind. Good Luck

    Andy's Moving
My daughter moved home in her gap year between college and graduate school. We had used Andy's Moving multiple times for residential and commercial moves, so I once again contacted them for this move which required multiple stops given that some of my daughter's items were in my home, and most others in storage. As always, the movers communicated well (e.g., confirmed date and time of arrival the day prior to the move), were very efficient, careful with fragile items, and professional. (Never once has an item been broken during handling by Andy's Movers.) Even though the move took two trips instead of the one I imagined, Andy's add-on fee was very reasonable. It was fortunate that another move had not been scheduled for that day since the movers worked from early morning until late evening. They even removed empty boxes my daughter had unpacked while they loaded and unloaded the second trip. Overall, I could not have been more pleased and would recommend to others without hesitation.

    JT Melia Moving & Storage
They were very courteous and efficient. There was a difference in cost from the estimate. They are still processing that. The guys in Texas and South Carolina were excellent. Nothing was broken, and they got along with my dog. I would recommend them as an A rated company for anyone who requires their service. Melia is a contractor for Nationwide Movers. Both companies were professional. Kudos to Brandon with Melia and Sue the dispatcher at Nationwide. They moved everything along very smoothly.

    US Van Line
I hired a company earlier for the move but the cost they charged was bigger than my budget. As I was not able to raise the money to move with them, I was forced to look for cheaper companies and was ready to compromise quality. However, I got a better moving company even at a cheaper price. US Van Line moved my belongings at much cheaper price but the service was superfast and wonderful. They deserve my recommendation and I will keep recommending them to others!
