    Horrible.I have used this service for 5 years.Place has gone down hill fast. I brought my mower in on Thur.,3/9/18.Waited for 1/2 hour until a counter person served me.After writing up order said it would be 2 to 3 weeks. Come back exactly 3 weeks since mower dropped up.After waiting 45 minutes,I am told they have not even looked at mower and they really don't know when they can get to it.Just took my mower and left.

    Not well. Wife unloaded mower by herself from truck. A couple of staff were hanging out inside and were uninterested in helping. She described the issue and the employee stated impolitely at least three weeks to look at the mower and would need $50. Wife decided to try someone else as we could not wait three weeks for someone to look at the mower. With no help, wife loaded mower back into truck by herself.

    The two that needed to be checked out were checked out and cleaned up and returned ready to go. The other two, that I KNOW we're operable and just needed to be tuned up and cleaned up. One was taken care of, the other they wanted $80 to repair...it wasn't broken when I took it in..it was dirty and needed cleaned up. I told them I wasn't going to pay the $80 for this one and to leave it alone. When I got it back...it had a bag of parts attached in a plastic bag! Really! They couldn't even put it back together...

    They're the only place I could find locally...so, I guess that's why.

    They need to work on their customer service...especially when it comes to dealing with women.

    No good at all!

    I took it in Saturday afternoon about 4:30 pm and they said it would take a couple of days to fix. I got a call Saturday night around 6:00p that is had problems and would be too expensive to fix; it would cost $476.01 because it had scarred head and scarred piston which would have to be replaced. So I agreed to not repair and would pick up Monday or Tuesday. 



    I came by on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 and picked up the Husqvarna 125 BT backpack  blower. I notice that the throttle cable was not connected and that the spark-plug was out and a bag of parts was attached.  I was charged $37.58 for them to tear apart my working back-pack blower and give it back to me in pieces.  I asked why it was in this condition and they told be they diagnosed and since they weren't going to repair they didn't put it back together.



    So now my backpack blower no longer works at all and I am out $37.54.  I opened a complaint with BBB.



    I had previously bough a lawnmower and a weed eater there and had another weed eater tuned up.  The purchase prices were competitive and the tune-up cost was reasonable ( they actually tuned up the weed eater).  But I will not buy equipment from them in the future or seek to have equipment tuned-up there.



    On the positive side they we very fast and if they had of actually tuned-up the Husqvarna 125 BT backpack blower, the cost would have been reasonable.

    I own and operate a small part time lawn care business. When I started a year ago, I did some shopping around for equipment that I needed and Richard, the owner, was a gold mine of information about various brands, strengths and weaknesses of each. I'm a small fish compared some of the buyers he sees, but he bent over backwards to help me out, not just on equipment, but also with the business itself. 
    A few weeks ago, I had a trimmer that had some carburetor issues and Small Engine Supply spoke to the manufacturer directly and had the carburetor replaced under warranty within a few days. 
    Any time other issues have arisen, Richard or Bobby (the lead mechanic) will try to help me repair on it my own so that I'm not down one piece of equipment. They truly demonstrate how customer service should be. 
     Richard s been in this business for almost 30 years and some of his customers are the biggest names in the Kingwood/Humble area. He s super friendly, honest, and his service department is second to none.  This is the dealer you want a relationship with if you operate in this area.
    Good customer service is hard to find. Great customer service is nearly impossible, but Small Engine Supply in Humble has GREAT customer service. If you re a weekend warrior, small startup, or experienced lawn care titan, this is THE place to go for your power equipment. Period.

    I dropped off my equipment on Saturday about 11 am. Eric (Wade's brother) met me and helped take my lawnmower out of my jeep. I told him about the leaf blower and he immediately said that I probably had sheared the crankshaft and that they had the part and to fix it would be $40. For the lawnmower, he said they would tune it up and sharpen the blade. About 3 hours after I had dropped off the equipment, Eric called and said the work was done and that I could come and pick the equipment up. When I got there, Eric explained what they did to each equipment item and then started up both the leaf blower and lawnmower for me. Total cost for fixing the leaf blower and tuning the lawnmower was $80. I was very pleased with the work, the cost, and with the promptness of the job. I would highly recommend Dand S to anyone needing small equipment repair. Eric and Wade were both nice guys and a pleasure to work with.

    I checked the reviews on Angie's List for small engine repair and decided to check Dand S out. As others have said, the location is not the greatest and the story front is well . . . uninviting . . . but the service and price are excellent. I dropped my generator off on Saturday and got a call that it was ready to be picked up on Monday. It started right up and is running fine. This place is really interesting, they have a steady flow of customers dropping items off and picking items up. When I was there to drop off and pick up, there were at least four other customers in line to drop items off. Bottom line, appearances can be deceiving and don't be put off by the location or looks of the place.

    SUMMARY: B&K did NOT repair my mower properly after 2 attempts. B&K has not given me a refund. Brought mower to B&K for repair on June 6th, 2010, because it would not run under load (with blade turning). On June 15th I paid B&J $50 for "bowl replacement and clean carb jet" and brought mower home. Tried to use mower on June 17th. Would not start. Used nieghbor's mower to mow yard. Brought mower back to B&K. Was accused of putting watered gasoline in mower (w/o any check of the mower). B&K's Brian quickly turned mower on its side, made some adjustment to something, cranked it and gave it back to me as repaired, again. Left on vacation June 18th. Tried to use mower on July 5th after returned from vacation. Mower would not start. Let neighbor's mower repair person have mower. Paid that person $50 for repaired mower a few days later. He put in a carb kit and cleaned the fuel lines. Mower has run well since (3-4 mowings in heavy grass). Sent letter to B&K providing details of my experience and gave them my address so they could return the funds paid them. They appear to have chosen to keep the money.
