Interior Painting reviews in Huffman

Poor. Wood floor removal was difficult but done. They left the glue on the concrete slab so we had to pay the flooring company to remove it so they could put down the floor. Drywall installation was sloppy, especially under my tall windows where there was only 2 inches of wall between the window trim and the baseboard (they didn't install any drywall there!). They needed a carpenter to cut the baseboards, but could only hire one for a couple of days. Therefore, the cuts by the non-carpenters were off and didn't match. The painting - my husband and I have ended up repainting the entire house and baseboards because it was so bad and they used the wrong color white on the baseboards. The price was good but you get what you pay for. They were recommended to us by a neighbor - that has been very disappointing. One of the worst parts was the owner couldn't pay his people and a couple of times they didn't show because they didn't get paid!!

The interior painters left paint on the floors and light switches, and when they replaced the wall plates for plugs and lights, they used a variety of colors. They didn't pull nails and screws out of the walls, they just painted over them. When they replaced some doors, they didn't reattach the handles and we no longer have them, so we had to buy new ones. Both my husband and I met with the provider separately and asked the contractor to get the gas meter replaced because we were getting ready to sell the house and it didn't have one. We needed a certified plumber to do the work, and the contractor told us both that it wouldn't be an issue. When the work was finished, the gas meter was not installed. When we contacted the plumber that worked on the job, he explained that he was never told about the gas meter. When we had him come out and look at it, he said there was a leak in the gas line and that it would cost us even more to have it fixed. We have paid the bill in full and it's now a week later. They still haven't given back our keys, so in addition to everything else, we will have to get our locks changed.

Mr. Ortiz was very professional and did a very professional job.  The living room has lots of windows and lots of detail areas.  The baseboards, doors and trim were painted with an oil based paint and look great.  Mr. Ortiz cleaned up very good after the job was complete.  Very happy with the job.

Job went well. I made a few changes before the job started but Ivan was very patient and reworked the estimate for me until we had a firm plan.  Ivan and his team were very nice and professional. They worked thru the issues that came up after demoing the bottom of the shower and revealing the problem.  On the new porcelain tile going in the shower Ivan made design recommendations that really look great!  I have no complaints and would recommend Ace Custom Building to others and would use them again if the need arises.

The project went very well. Venetian Stairs principals Chuck and Margie spent a substantial amount of extra time at our home helping us decide on the final box molding design and were always pleasant and supportive. The final product transformed our entry way into a show piece. We are completely satisfied with the final product. The "B" for quality is in reference to the finish on the refinished treads. We went from a light oak to a dark stain to match the Brazillian Cherry wood floors upstairs. The finish looks more like a paint instead of a stained wood. We feel the price to be a bargain for the amount of work performed.

primo did an excellent job on my home...he was professional, cheerful, honest and a perfectionist in his work....I changed my mind on what walls to paint what color, and he cheerfully went thru the changes with me.   I am so proud of his job and would definitely use him again...in fact I have already called him for a smaller job on my home....such a nice, courteous, gentle guy...very creative and artistic....

We were very pleased with the results. The house looked fresh and a number of small items were fixed. The crew did a lot of work in a few days. We were pleased with the quality of the work and with the price. We will be using the Company for some projects we have identified in our new residence. We highly recommend Expert Team Painting.

Two years ago, I had major foundation repair preformed on my home. After the home was leveled, the doors would shut again without sticking however, I was left with cracks in the sheetrock walls and ceilings throughout the house. Needless to say, my wife and I were embarrased when we had family and friends over to visit us.
When it came time to have the sheetrock repaired, I turned to Angie's List for references. I contacted 4 sheetrock repair businesses found in Angie's List for an estimate and only one of the four I found satisfactory.
The 4 businesses I contacted and the results they gave me are listed below:

    1. HIGH QUALITY SHEETROCK REPAIR - Joe came to my home and we went over the damage to the walls and ceilings. Joe told me that he would get back with me for an estimate but never heard from him again.
    2. ROBERT'S SHEETROCK REPAIR - I made an appointment with Robert to come to my home for an estimate. I made sure that I would be at home to meet with him on that day. We scheduled the time for 11:00 AM but after 11:30 AM and NO SHOW, I called him to see why he was late. Robert told me that he had forgotten about the appointment and apologized. I told him it would probably be best we not work together if he couldn't remember an appointment.
    3. THE SHEETROCK MAN - I called and spoke with Pete, he appeared to be enthusiastic about coming out to give me an estimate until I told him where I lived. He said that I was out of his working area even though I lived in the couinty he listed as his service area.
    4. DRYWALL DOCTOR - I made an appointment with Kevin to meet with me on a Saturday. He was on time and we went over each area of sheetrock that needed repair. Kevin took notes and he spent almost an hour with me going over the damage found in my walls and ceilings. A few days later, Kevin got back with me on a price and I accepted.
Kevin and his co-worker Stephen showed up on time everyday. They protected the working area with their drop cloths to keep from damaging the floors. They worked all day except for the time they took for lunch.
Kevin's work is an AR T SKILL and can only be earned through experience in the trade. He amazed both me and my wife with his ability to match the textures of our walls and ceilings. After the walls and ceilings were painted, unless you knew where the damage was, one couldn't see where the repair took place. GREAT JOB & WELL PLEASED!
    As a side Note:
Kevin's co-worker and nephew Stephen is a gifted quarterback and is expected to have a tryout with the NFL HOUSTON TEXANS this spring. I hope he makes the team for then I can say, " that guy once worked on my house and now look at him" !!!

constant no calls and no shows i would call to see if they were coming and get no answer or return call for 3-4 days. was put off for a week after original start date. the workers were great they always cleaned and were respectful. one bathroom had a window that was needing removed instead it was sheetrocked over on the inside and now from the outside of the house you can see a window full of insulation. also had a drain vent for the plumbing that went thru the roof that was replumbed instead of removing old vent pipe in the roof it was just taped over outside for a cap. my deep freeze and refrigerator still have overspray all over them from painting and my new refrigerator has a dented door from them moving it but they would not take blame for it. my new cabinets in my laundry room have runs in the paint still after them repainting them 3 times. i only seen miguel 1 time and that was when he gave us the quote for the job even when we were having problems he never came to the house to see what was going on. i have asked numerous times for all the receipts for payments for my records and still have yet to recieve them. the whole process was a headache. poor scheduling and customer service on miguels part never once had a problem out of the workers. numerous vent pipes were installed and i was told they was going to have a cover on them instead i just got pvc pipe stuck thru the exterior wall. also went to use my central heat after the remodel and it did not work turns out when they were installing trim boards they cut my thermostat wires so that was a additional cost on my part
