  • We gathered such an array of family photos but left all the design up to her and during the process she was open to adding little things...we loved our video. Many of of friends and family were touched. Her work is beautiful.

  • I worked with Todd to setting up an appointment.  He was very flexible to my schedule.  He had availability within 4 days of my call.  Others I had contacted said the next available opportunity was any where from a week and half to three weeks out.  I told Todd my situation, that I had existing cable pull from a remodeling job that was done in 2005 and I needed it pulled from the attic, down a wall to central point where the router was located.  Todd asked some additional questions and once satisfied, provided an estimate which was very fair.
    Mike, a technician from Modern Media, arrived 10 minutes early, which was great.  I showed Mike the situation and we walked through the rooms to inspect the locations.  Mike went to work.  About 3 hours into the job, Mike was able to get continuity.
    Something to point out here.  There was miscommunication between myself and Todd on the scope of the project.  I believe I had stated there were 3 rooms that I needed connected.  Todd was under the impression that there was just one.  Mike, being the one in the middle and wanting the please the customer, got continuity in all 3 rooms in that 3 hours. Mike advised Todd that the job might take longer than expected because of the 3 rooms.  Todd called me advised the estimate was based on a single room and that we would work something out.
    Mike used his laptop to ensure the cabling would support internet connectivity.  One room came up easily while the other two were not working.  Mike spent the next hour working to get those two rooms up.  I told Mike that having one was good and that we could work with that.  Mike said that "it had now become personal, and he would be damned to leave if he couldn't get the other rooms up!" It took Mike another hour and half to get the rooms up.  The issues wound up being one room had a nick in the cable at the box and had cut 2 wires.  The other was one of the spicing blocks he used was bad (very odd).
    Needless to say, we were very pleased with Mike's work ethic and diligence in working through the issues. Given the duration of Mike's stay, I was expecting a bill in the $500+ range.  However, Todd said he would make it right due to the confusion in the scope of work and the challenges that Mike faced.
    For any future cabling, networking, A/V needs, I will be contacting Modern Media.  Can't ask for a more honest, upstanding team that will ensure the job is done right the first time!

  • Todd, Mike, and Nick did a great job.  They were professional, on time, and took pride in their work.  Todd explained everything when he came for an initial consultation and we were able to make modifications as necessary to have the PERFECT theater room with excellent sound and picture.  The TV set up on the back porch is great as the TV can be articulated toward the spa/pool and not only are there speakers on the covered porch, but speakers that play out toward the pool/spa area so you can watch the game or listen to music while swimming.   The surround sound set up in the main living area is great and extra touches were made to make it user friendly, as in the theater room.  I would definitely recommend Modern Media to anyone looking to set up a media room, add surround sound to any existing area, or even set up their outdoor living area.

  • I called Chris for an estimate to complete two jobs; (1) mount a 40and quot; TV in the master bedroom with wiring inside wall, and (2) prepare to upgrade my internet service from DSL to U-verse. Initially, I thought that I needed to run a new coax line into my office, but after Chris examined my wiring, he recommended a different approach. He was very knowledgeable and made several recommendations on how to optimize my new service. Chris and his assistant mounted the TV on the fist visit, and agreed to return the following week, on Monday, to do the remaining work.
    My only complaint about the service I received has to do with communications. Chris texted me on Monday to advise that they were working late on a job and asked if we could reschedule for later in the week. I replied that it would be no problem and suggested Friday afternoon. I received no reply from Chris. On Friday Morning, I texted Chris to confirm that I was scheduled for that afternoon. Chris replied that yes, but it would be late, around 5pm. Later that day, Chris texted me at 5:15pm that he was wrapping up a job about 20 minutes away, and would be headed my way. That is the last that I heard from him on Friday. (He later advised he got held up and his cell phone had died.) After exchanging voice mails and a couple of texts, he finally came out on Tuesday and finished the job.
    When Chris is on the job he is very professional and his pricing is good. However, since he manages all scheduling via his cell phone, and is often unavailable, his customer service suffers. I would use him again, but only if timeliness is not a priority.
