    Bantex Construction Inc
The estimate was the lowest received and the response time from visiting the home to generating the estimate was good. Most contractors who came and looked at the job never submitted a bid. Mr. Banta studied the job in detail with his workers and completed the job on time and under budget. He and his workers did a good job and finished everything he promised to do. I would work with him again when I have another home project that needed to be done right and within budget.

    Super Siding & Remodeling

On the the first day of this home project, I came home from work while they were attempting to replace the back door and found the mini-blind off the original door in the back yard on the ground, filthy and missing the wand.  Unfortunately, this became indicative of how this company operates. During the course of replacing the back door, they had damaged the door frame to the point that it required replacement and they also destroyed the sensor for my home security system in the original door frame; I had to have the security company come out and replace the sensor.  No offer was made to pay for the service call by the security company.

Once the back door and door frame had been replaced and Super Siding had been paid,  I found that the door did not open and close properly.  I contacted Chris Tola, son of patriarch and owner, Ken Tola and reported this issue.  He told me to 'take a piece of wood, hold it to the door jam and hit it with a hammer a few times'...this is almost a direct quote and was his way of telling me that he had no intention of correcting the problem...and they did not.  After the work was completed by Super Siding, I had another contractor look at the door and he pointed out that the door frame had not been installed correctly and the door had not been properly hung.

Regarding the front door, I noticed almost immediately that the threshold was still not secure and over the course of the next few months, I started to notice problems with the front door frame as well.  It became evident that they had not cut out the rotted wood, instead they had used some kind of epoxy bonding agent, covering over the rotted wood so here again; it was obvious they had taken shortcuts and did not 'fix' the issues with the front door according to our contract, but once paid, they ignored my calls.

In early March, 2016, we experienced a heavy rainstorm that did include hail and heavy wind.  Upon inspection of the house after this storm, I noticed that different painted areas of the house looked as though the paint had 'washed off' and the garage door showed no hail damage pockmarks  but the paint was chipped off in several places. I contacted patriarch Ken Tola  and explained the situation and requested that he examine the exterior of the house.

First, he said that the garage door issue was hail damage, so his company was not responsible.

When I took issue with this explanation, he initially made the ludicrous claim that the Behr paint that had been used would not adhere to the 'Masonite' trim, facias, soffits, etc. on my home.  I replied that Behr paint had been used to paint my house in April, 2006 and there had been no issue with 'adherence' during the intervening years from 2006 forward.

I had two different painting contractors examine my house and each independently confirmed that the house had not been prepped properly; to make a point, one of the contractors took a hose and sprayed the garage door and paint came off in strips and fragments.  (The garage door had to be power-washed to remove the remaining paint.)

Thereafter, Ken Tola became almost impossible to reach...at one point, one of the few times he responded, Mr. Tola texted me that 'he couldn't afford to pay for the paint and labor' (direct quote from his text) to correct this problem... after about 7 weeks of this absurdity, I finally paid another contractor to deal with this matter which was completed at my expense June 22, 2016.

As a final slap in the face, the 'new' rear fence that was installed has several pickets that have warped; the fence pickets on the remainder of the fence, the 'old' fence, have been in place for 13 years and none of those pickets have warped.

Looking at other negative reviews, it seems that the Tola's habit will be to attempt to refute this review, fabricating excuses and denigrating the customer.  I have the contract and numerous text conversations on my phone that I have saved that confirm what I have described regarding this whole debacle.  Super Siding's way of doing business is completely lacking in integrity and their explanations and excuses for their inferior and sub-standard work is an insult to anyone with a modicum of intelligence.

If you're looking for a contractor that performs and ensures the quality of their work with honor and probity, you would be well-served to look elsewhere.

Quality Roofing 4 Less & Guttering
It went great - a few delays due to weather but we weren't in that big of a hurry.  Rick oversaw all - Tommy did wood and painting, Julio did gutters and Rick did roofing.  All workers were friendly and respectful with no issues.  Our goal was to get the house ready for resale in a few years and it looks great.  One note to point out, the shingles turned out to be much greener that anticipated - this is not something we wanted.  After discussing with Rick, he agreed they looked green and he completely removed and replaced the roofing just a week later at no charge.  Thanks for making it right, Rick!

    Charles Wyles Contractors
He was great to work with as we changed our mind while we were working on the project.  He is a real Jack-of-all-trades, but he seems to have mastered all the trades we needed. I have called him back for odd jobs since then and he's never disappointed me. The work was done in a timely manner. I would recommend him to my famiy and friends.

    Clear Creek Home Improvements

Kevin was very patient with me through the estimate and answered numerous questions before the job was ever agreed to. All of the work took approximately 1 week and Kevin's crew were both extremely professional and did a great job.

-1 door was removed and arch was installed in its place along with drywall and knockdown texture to match existing walls.

-1 door was installed at opposite end of hallway along with new light switches. Drywall and knockdown texture to match existing walls.

-1 door was installed to turn our "Office" into a true 3rd bedroom. Original entryway to office was an arch. After door was installed more drywall and knockdown texture added to match existing walls.

-1 In the "Office" there was no closet door to the newly divided closet. New door installed along with switch and light. Drywall and knockdown texture added to match existing walls.

Doors were installed exactly the way we wanted them and the newly installed arch in the hallway matches the others in the house perfectly. My wife and I could not be happier with the results and we will definitely use Kevin again for any future projects!

The company called me very quickly and told me they were inundated by purchases of this deal, so they would be hiring a subcontractor they had worked with many times. The subcontractor was Mike's Home Repair. He called quickly also and set up a time to give me an estimate. He worked for the time he estimated but didn't get as much done as I would have liked. He did a good job on what he finished. He was supposed to call to arrange another time to come out sometime after Thanksgiving, but I haven't heard from him.

    Rickey Daltons Handyman

Due to a bad repair job previously ( several years ago.).   Water had gotten into the frame work of the windows and had rotted the wood .   The more wood that was removed the more  rotted wood was found.

Rick called and reported each step and explained in detail what he had found and what would be needed to repair or replace.

    ANGEL'S HOME SOLUTIONS
Angel came to our home as we requested, and gave us an estimate for the work we wanted done.  He made an appointment to complete the work, and at the appointed time he and his crew arrived with the materials and began work.  The job was completed in one day, and turned out very well. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work, and Angel and his crew were very professional during their day here at out home. They were responsive to every request we made of them, and they cleaned the site thoroughly when they were finished. I would strongly recommend Angel for similar projects, and I intend to offer him additional projects that we have in mind. We also feel that he gave us a fair and reasonable price for the work he did for us.

    Handyman Matters Tarrant County
We felt that he did quality work and was detailed.  Our baseboards were flawless.  We gave a B on quality because paint touch ups were not as good as they could be.  Otherwise, we are pleased with the work completed and would hire again.
