    Axestone Contracting
Mr. Lolohea arrived on time to survey the job site, make measurement, and estimate the materials needed. He proposed a 4 inch thick concrete slab joined to the existing patio with rebar drilled into the existing slab and extending into the new slab. We also needed an existing slab left behind by a previous owner for an above ground swimming pool pump and filter. And we needed some very large flagstones moved to a different spot in the yard. I informed him that my wife had encouraged me to hire a professional to remove the swimming pool pump slab. But while waiting to make the final decision, I had purchased an electric jackhammer from a local discount tool store, you know the "bay transportation" store.. He asked if he could see it. When I showed it to him, he said that if he was permitted to use my jackhammer, the cost would be very minimal. His estimate was very reasonable. The work was delayed from his original timeline because of a rain storm that would have ruined the sacks of cement. He placed the forms on the date he originally specified, but arrived at a later date when the weather was better to pour the patio extension. It was finished in a single day. When done, I asked what I needed to do to ensure the slab "cured" correctly in order that it did not split or crack. He said that I should keep the side with sunshine on it wetted every several hours, and I should use a sprinkler on the slab on days when the city permitted watering. After the job was complete, he said that my electric jackhammer was a winner. He offered to purchase it. I said I had another slab that needed removal at a rental unit my wife owned. Until that job was done, I still needed the jackhammer. He said if I was willing to let him bid that job, he would make it worth my while to let him do it at a reduced price, if I included the jackhammer in the deal. I agreed, and he has offered us a very good bid for the rent house job. The "B" rating for price was due to another bid that was slightly lower, but I felt the contractor was not as forthcoming as Mr. Lolohea. I could have gotten the job done cheaper, but decided not to. After the job was done, I was satisfied that I had made a wise choice.

    Home Front Home Services
We were very pleased with the work done. Home Front had the best price of 3 bids that I got. Justin was professional and understood just what we wanted. We were very impressed with the two guys that did the work on our bathroom remodel, Jared and David. They were both so professional, hard working, courteous and friendly. Always on time, never stopped working, cleaned up every day. In our opinion such a credit to your company.

    LONESTAR STAINED CONCRETE
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I cannot say enough about the unprofessionalism of this company, specifically it's owner. We hired this company to redo our floors, while doing the floors they ruined the bottom or their custom kitchen cabinets and 2 new appliances in the process. The owner sent someone out to "patch" the cabinets which did not fix the issue but refused to help with the damage done to appliances. More than that though their floors started showing huge white spots within 3 months of installation. Over the last year their floors have began to look so bad due to these massive white water spots (that are untreatable) that they are going to have to completely redo them. The owner refuses to return calls along with all other associates within the company. They took over $11k for this job and left the job looking worse than when they started. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    Karl Koch Concrete Consultants
It went well. Karl knew what he was doing, and at 80 years old, worked as hard as all of his young helpers. He added enough steel to ensure the sidewalk was strong and could withstand the stress of tree roots, etc., in the area. However, he failed to put an expansion joint between the paving and the home foundation. I have contacted him twice since the area, next to the foundation, has blown up due to the lack of an expansion joint. He has promised to get back to me and fix it. It has been about 5 months since the first contact and I have not seen him.

    Creative Hardscapes of Texas
Poured concrete and days later had dump trucks on it causung it to break in several spots, when pouring concrete a pole was not lined correctly had to bust it out, damaged driveway, wanted to putty the line. Porch is uneven awning has nails showing through. Had to redo several things because of his workers and wanted to blame us. He is a smooth talker to get the job but once he has it, he is impossible to get ahold of. When I did get him he would say that my issues were no big deal. We took offf several days for people to show up and didnt without notifying us. Just a horrible experience all around.

    Dallas stamped concrete
Sam's crew was to didn't show up on the scheduled day (a couple of times) and didn't communicate the change to us. Once the crew began the job, they worked all day to dig out the hole (with a Bobcat) and haul away the dirt. In order to keep from damaging the existing landscaping, Sam said he would lay down plywood and drive the Bobcat over the plywood. He did lay down plywood but cut the plywood down into strips just wide enough for the Bobcat tires. Additionally, they used OSB plywood which broke apart after several back and forth treks across the yard. The Bobcat was too large (and ended up getting stuck in the vault hole for almost an hour as they attempted every maneuver to get the thing out of the hole). The Bobcat ended up created a 8-10" deep tracks across the length of the yard. Sam said this would be repaired. Sam's crew came back and poured the cement and completed the cinderblock wall. The wall didn't not line up correctly at one corner. Sam ended up shoving down an additional piece of cinderblock to make it look like the wall lined up (from the top). The Sump pump well was not poured to the correct size for the matching grills to go over the top but Sam said they would take care of that. Sam brought in the flagstone that was to finish off the top of the vault and layed them out around the vault (on the existing grass) to get them ready for installation (which ended up killing more grass). His crew also came in and layed some sod on the track marks but they didn't fill where there were holes (underneath the sod) and didn't roll the sod. They left several mud areas that were in need of more sod. That was the end of the work performed by Sam and his crew. We tried repeatedly to contact Sam with no results. Our spa salesman tried numerous times to contact Sam but with no results. Eventually, Sam responded and said he would be back but never showed up. We sent him a text saying we would post a negative review on Angie's List and the BBB if he didn't contact us; he never contacted us. Besides the job not being completed, here's the damage that was done: Piles of dirt were left around the edge of the vault that ended up killing additional grass around the area (the dirt was used to fill the vault but was left too long on the grass - numerous days). While bringing the Bobcat in and out of the RV access, they rolled over the garden edging and shoved it so far into the ground that it can't be retrieved. They dumped the piles of dirt in the street which ended up overflowing onto our garden breaking a sprinkler and killing three plants (when Sam's group brought out the sod, they dug up the sprinkler but never repaired it and left a hole). Items they did not finish: They never finished the decorative stonework on top of the vault. In fact, they were supposed to add an additional cinder block cap so the vault would be higher than the yard to keep water from draining off the yard into the vault - this was not completed. They did not find a way to cover the sump pump area so it was left open (no grate) for leaves, etc. to fill the hole. They left our yard looking like it was a patchwork quilt with tracks of sod sitting above the existing grass. They were supposed to pick up all the rocks and pieces of cement scattered across the yard and this was not done (leaving a mess for us while trying to mow the lawn). They left the pile of sand (for the mortar work) on our back yard RV access and their bags of mortar still remain in our wheelbarrow. Needless to say, this was a bad experience as we now have to pay someone else to come in and finish the job. The only saving grace is that we had only made payments as work was completed so we only paid for 2/3rds of the project. Do not use this company!

    Pinckard Landscape Services LLC
We reached out to Pinckard last week due to the many positive reviews on Angie's List. Lon's voicemail stated that they are quite busy and might take up to 48 hours to reply, so we were patient, and he was good enough to call within that window. He asked for a description of the work, and I began to explain all that we are wanting to do (quite a bit!). Cutting me off in mid-sentence, Lon asked where we were located. I gave him the name and location of our neighborhood, with which he was familiar. We are located on the NE side of Fort Worth, not too far from the SH-121 / I-35W split. Lon then stated that this is out of his territory, and that he doesn't cover Fort Worth. I was baffled. Pinckard's Angie's List profile reads, "Pinckard Landscape Services of Fort Worth", and the company's own website mention "Fort Worth area" and "Dallas/Fort Worth". How misleading! I was so shocked that I just thanked him and hung up the phone. My requests are simple: Please listen and be courteous on the phone, and please don't misrepresent your service area. Thank you.

    G.L. Hunt Foundation Repair
Polite and kind crew. Very professional recommend to anyone. Great quality. Adam took time to explain everything and discuss choices. The crew showed up in afternoon of 1/4/16. Started digging holes; dug holes in cement on 1/5/16 and installed piers. Inspector for city inspected 1/6/16 and crew filled in dirt holes. Rain due, crew did cement refill the next day after rain for quality completion. Left yard clean and nice.

    Big G Concrete
The provider poured a driveway.  While I have no problem with the work, Big G took our money but did not pay its suppliers so now the cable company has filed a lien against our property.  Stay away from this deadbeat....he'll leave his bills for you to pay.
