    The first Kenmore Elite front-load washers and dryers were defective. We had to go over every piece of clothing with a lint roller. The part where you put the soap was always full of water after a load and had to be emptied in the sink and the tunnel, as well as the gasket, dried after each load. They replaced the first set and the second ones still had the same problems. The second repair man, even more rude than the first, ordered a part for the washer that was not broken, said the vent from the wall to outside needed to be cleaned, though we'd had it done in Dec before we got the first ones (just in case, after he left. We paid to have it done again, and were told it was clear.) When I told him that I had a lot of friends who were happy with their front-load machines and couldn't understand why there were so many problems, he got mad, slammed his computer shut and left. He then told the company I had cancelled the visit. After they finally delivered the third washer and dryer, they said I have no warranties even though I had already paid $269.99 for each of the machines, and they said I’d have to buy new warranties for each machine. When I call their claims department they don't respond at all. I'm blocked from my advocate. She asked me to call one Sunday. I got a recording the offices were closed, but got through using another phone. I have a copy of an emailed receipt showing I bought the warranties, hoses, and a delivery fee I was told would be waived. The washer, dryer, and pedestals also show but at a cost of zero dollars. I was emailed another receipt showing the first pair with pedestals at a price I did not pay and the current pair at the same price for an even exchange, but the hoses and warranties I bought for the initial defective pair aren't included. They have changed everything on the computer. I do have the original Warrantees. Since they will not return my calls or answer my emails, I finally posted on Facebook, and they "thanked" me for "liking" Sears. All I'm asking is for them to honor their word, re-instate the 3 year Premium Warranties I paid for, but at the date of delivery of the new machines, as promised.

    We purchased a washer from them and we immediately had problems with it. We called them to come take a look at it, and he told me there was nothing wrong with it. Because he did sell them to me, he said he would go ahead and replace it. He did replace it, but he didn't look at any of the connections we had bought for the first ones. He assured us their was nothing wrong with them, but when we got the new one we found out he had lied. I have continued to have problems with them. I called them again last week, and had a technician come out. He told us that he found a broken piece, and he ordered it right there. He assured me that the problems with the washer were normal, but nobody else I  talked to agreed. I also had another tech come out last week, and he told me that the problem was mine, because it was from the wall to the outside. He was in my house for over 40 minutes. I told him nobody ever checked the other connection, and that couldn't be. After that he said you are not listening to me, and he left. I later found out that he said that he was never here, and canceled the appointment. Because of that I missed my 4 visit lemon rule. We have always bought our stuff from sears, so I was expecting the service to be wonderful. I talked to them a few days ago and they said they would send out another tech, who would not be rude. There is obviously a real problem with the service department of the sears in Longview. At this point I don't think I would ever buy anything from that store.

    They are an old family business.. They don’t use credit cards and checks. They will recommend solid installers and you pay the installer if you need them.  They will deliver themselves if that is all that is needed.
