    Baylor Family Medicine at Riverside
I made a new patient appointment with Lisa (Physician's Assistant) for 9/6/16, and was told to arrive 15 minutes early for my appointment. I completed the new patient paperwork online and arrived at 10:35 for my 11:00 appointment. At 11:25 I told the receptionist to cancel my appointment.... a waste of my time. To top it off, someone pooped in the women's bathroom, and when I tried to flush the toilet, it didn't work.

I've been going to that doctor for years.  The doctor stands out and I was just pleased with him.  The staffs are okay.  The experience are sometimes different in the office than the experience with the doctor.  It's usually easy to get in to see him.

    Muhammad A. Memon
I went to Dr. Memon for a colonoscopy.  After my initial visit, they scheduled my colonoscopy and said they would call in the prescription for the prep a few days before the procedure.  Two days before my scheduled procedure, the pharmacy still had not received the script so I called Dr. Memon's office.  They did not even have me on the books!!!  I was promised a call back that day or very early the next morning to let me know if they could fit me in for my scheduled day (for which I had already submitted PTO).  By 10am the next day, I still had heard nothing so I called them.  I talked to a different person in the office who did not seem to be aware of the issue.  They finally agreed to fit me in.  When I asked about the prescription, they asked me what it was for so they could call it in.  I told them I wasn't sure of the brand and thought they would have that information.  They didn't even know what prep they were supposed to call in for me and wanted me to tell them!  At this point I was disgusted and canceled the appointment.  Too many balls had been dropped and I now wouldn't trust them with correctly performing or reading a colonoscopy.  It may just be the office staff, but their unprofessionalism is a very poor reflection on the doctor.

    Gottesman, Dr. Andrew R.

Doctor Gottesman is very, very thorough. He explains what procedures he recommends and why. The doctor and his office are responsive to any questions you may have.

I have been seeing the doctor for about 3 months. She is very down to earth and not condescending at all. It was very easy to schedule with the doctor and I was able to get in the day after I called. She is a good doctor. I have not had a primary care doctor for years but I really like are and plan on continuing seeing her. The staff is wonderful. The PA Brandy is easy to work with.

    Jones, Dr. Olga
I see her now because I don't have anyone to see for my medical problems and I don't really care for her. She has an accent that I have trouble understanding. She is a little rude at times. Because there was a time when I need to make sure that I understood what she said right and I asked her one more time, and she was sort of rude. The office is nice. Some of the nurses are nice and some are rude also. She would not listen to me and according to her, she knows best.

    Werner, Dr. Judith K

I was not seen by Dr. Warner because she retired. I was seen by another female Doctor instead. Please remove Dr. Wagner from your list since she retired and is no longer practicing. I found out about her retirement when I visit the clinic for my appointment.

    Bluntzer, Dr. Mary E.

She was happy to see that my allergist had determined that I am not allergic to aspirin as we had previously thought. One of the specialists had me try Naprosyn, and Mary Ellen was elated that this has taken care of the pain. I had to go to an Urgent Care doctor about 10 days ago with chest problems, and it was bronchitis. Mary Ellen was happy with the medication they had prescribed, but puzzled as to why I got bronchitis in the middle of summer. I had told her that a week previously yet another doctor had prescribed Afuzosin, so she carefully checked the full prescribing sheet, and found that bronchitis was one of the side effects listed way down at the bottom of the trials results. Needless to say, I'm not taking it any more, and the bronchitis is on its way out. This is typical of Mary Ellen's diagnostic, problem-solving and prescribing skills; she looks at the whole picture to find the problem.

I don't mind waiting a while when I get to her office. I know she is giving the current patient all the time they need, just as she does with me.

If I leave a message on her answering service, she will get back to me that evening, no matter how late it is. She is also very prompt at getting back to me if I have her paged for an urgent matter. I also have her back line that goes directly to her desk when she is in the office. I have never felt the need to use it myself, but it has been useful to give to other doctors to call her with urgent questions while I am in their office.

    James Kravetz DO
Our whole family goes to Dr. Kravetz. He is one of the few, old fashioned, caring doctors. We have been his patients for over 20 years.
We would recommend him wholeheartedly. He is truly amazing.

I explained to Dr. Maynard that the Antibiotic he wanted to prescribe was not effective for me. I have had sinus infections and ear infections almost every spring since I was a small child and am allergic to penicillin, My body has built up a resistance to some antibiotics. He insisted that this would work.  I had to return again after I had taken the full prescription 2 weeks later.  I had a major infection in both ears and the sinus infection was worse. I could barely hear and was in major pain with a fever of 102. He decided that maybe I did need another antibiotic and a pain reliever. The nursing staff was listening to a local Hit music station and were singing along at full voice while I was waiting to be seen. I even asked them to please turn down the music because of the pain it was causing me. They ignored me and told me to go back to the room and wait on the doctor.  I asked the doctor if he could write the prescription instead of calling it in to the pharmacy because sometimes it takes a few hours for my pharmacy to fill faxes. He said he would personally call it in.
When I went to check out the Nursing staff informed me that my Insurance was not valid, I asked if they would try again. They said they had 3 times. I asked them to verify my insurance information. They had tried to run my information with the wrong insurance provider, We corrected the problem and the clerk then gave the wrong ID number to my insurance company. Declined again. I told her I was listening and she had given them the wrong number. She insisted she had not. I called the customer service number from my cell phone to verify my insurance and handed her my phone. Five minutes later she retried and it went through. No apology from her and she treated me like I was a piece of garbage for making her do it.
After 2 hours had past I went to the pharmacy and they had not received my prescription. 4 hours later while I was sitiing at the pharmacy the Dr called it in.  He sent in the same antibiotic that did not work the first time.  I immediately called the office and had to wait another 45 mintues before he called me back. He said he had forgot and then called the pharmacy and corrected the prescription.
3 days later the infection was clearing up.
I am a very polite person. I do not yell or speak rudely to people even when they are rude to me, I was raised by my grand mother who taught me better. I have never seen anyone in the medical field show such a utter contempt for their patients. I have been a client of this clinic for 6 years. I have been a patient of Dr. Maynard for 3. I am now looking for another Dr for myself and my family.
