  • Several parts to the process and ratings. 1st-the man who came out and measured did a flawless job & went overboard to measure the counters exactly as my wife wanted - HE RATES-A across the board. 2nd- couple of weeks later 2 men came out to remove the old counters and install the new. They did a good job and cleaned up well. They had to fit 2 seams - 1 fit good-the other fit fair. So rating the granite install would RATE -B 3rd- is the granite itself. The quality of the stone. The granite had many imperfections, scaly looking & feeling spots. There were more spots that looked like dirt spots (most a nickel size or so). No matter what we used on these spots, they kept the same look. When light shown on the granite viewed from an angle, these spots really looked bad. There were fissures in the stone but that appeared normal. This GRANITE would RATE a C- 4th-I called our contact at the business to advise him of my disappointment and described what I saw. He offered no opinion, nor did he offer to have someone come and look at it. Basically he gave me the impression that whatever it looked like we just have to live with it. Now he did say that I might use car paste on the granite before "company" came over, but that would of course, only last a short time. While I didn't expect anyone to come out and rip the granite out, I was expecting a more concerned view with someone coming out to take a look to see what could be done by a professional to make it appear better. DO to the LACK of concern, or offer to review the stone- I would have to rate HIS professionalism : B (he was a nice guy). BUT I would have to rate his responsiveness: C- DUE to the LACK of concern, or offer to review the stone.

  • This company is awful!!  They came out on July 9th to provide the estimate.   I was impressed with the sales presentation and believed the representative's stories regarding the companies quality of work, so I put a little more than 50% down to reserve a crew for July 15th.    I called the rep on the July 10th and asked for their physical address so that I could go see the actual slab versus the small sample that I relied upon during the selection process.  I was told to text her an hour and half prior to the time that I would be there and someone would meet me there.
I started calling her around noon on July 11th.  Three hours later, I received a text with the physical address and stating that someone was at the location.  I dropped everything that I was doing and drove 45 minutes to their Central Expressway location and no one was there.  I hung around for 30 minutes or so and called the rep several times while I was waiting.  Finally I got spooked, they are located in the back of a deserted looking manufacturing plant, and left.
After sending me on a wild goose chase, no one called back to apologize or to confirm the installation.  On the July 13th, I sent a message requested a change in the edging.  She text back and said that they had finished my edging already.
On the 14th, she texted to confirm my sink selection.  No mention of the timeframe that I could expect the installers.  On July 15th, three men knocked at my door at 5 am and stated that they were there for tile work.  Apparently, they were here to remove my backsplash in preparation for the install, which would have been awesome had I known.   I sent them away thinking that they were at the wrong house.
I called the text the rep at 7:47 am to see what time I could expect her crew.  After not getting response I called her and was told that the crew came out and I sent them away so she would have to reschedule my services.  I explained to her that the guys said that they were there to do tile work and that her company had not advised me to expect three strange men on my door step at 5am.  Because of their lack of communication throughout the process my project is delayed, now I am being told the guys are tied up on another job site.
I don't recommend this company at all.

  • Heritage Stonecraft has a very professional organization and they knew what they were doing.
On the first visit Terry, the owner, came to my home and gave me a high level estimate.  He is not pushy and is very professional.
Next I drove to Garland to pick out the granite and the way that the edging would be shaped.  I found granite that I loved and they asked for a $1000 deposit to hold it.
At the next visit Terry used a laser to get the exact measurements of my counters.  At that time I left them a check for half of the work.
Heritage created a computer model including a digital picture of the pattern in my granite.  They asked me to come back out to Garland to view the model and approve it.  They took me to a conference room with a very large monitor.
The installation was great.  The men were very professional and the granite was perfect.  The carefully removed my sink and cooktop and told countertops.  The installation went very well.
The next day the installation company came back out to install my sink and the new cooktop.  I was not happy with this part of the installation.  The service tech was concerned because the oven would not go back in.  I asked him to raise the metal wiring which fixed that problem.  Next the oven did not reach the countertops.  Together we discovered that he forgot to reinstall the shims.  He also used a hammer to remove an exposed piece of metal above my dishwasher and told me that it was OK because I would use the door to open the dishwasher.  Obviously this was unacceptable and I had to call Heritage to speak with him on the phone.  At the end it was all installed correctly.  Heritage contracted with the installation company and I can't really blame them for the bad service from this company.
I would use Heritage again.  Their prices are great and they did a fantastic job.

  • After using his online quoting tool we came up with a total dollar amount that was acceptable.  We went to a granite showroom to pick the slabs we were going to use and then were told to come to his shop where he had cheaper slabs available.  I couldn't tell if they were remnants or defects or what.  He didn't have anything we liked and were informed that if we needed granite from a showroom that the costs would be wildly inflated from the online quote tool.  If felt like a bait and switch to us.  As the costs were escalating while we stood in his shop, we left and used another contractor.

  • Amazing! Larry is first and foremost the most honest and trustworthy general contractor I have come across - and I have done several renovation projects . He does exactly what he says he will do, is upfront about time and costs, and takes pride in his workmanship. For the few hiccups/unexpected issues (and all projects have them), he fixed it at his own cost, unless it was due to my error. When I thought a quote from a sub was too high, he went out and got more bis until I was happy. I trust him completely. His workmanship is also impeccable. As the name suggests, his specialty is tile work. We completely tore out our master bath, reconfigured it and put in marble tile and countertops. Working with imperfections of natural stone isn't easy, and our bathroom tile work is near perfect! Everything is flush, the pattern is great - it's beautiful! He also has great subs - plumber, electrician, glass - their work is to the same standard as his tile work. His slab guy, Escobar, was also easy to work with and was very accommodating in allowing us to come pick our slab. Additionally, we had him contract to put engineered wood floors in the master bedroom to match the rest of the downstairs. His wood guy was also amazing! Our wood floors look like they were all installed at the same time. Finally, Larry installed a wine fridge for us. This was particularly challenging, as the cabinet which we removed for the wine fridge was slightly bigger than the fridge. Larry got creative, cut a piece of wood off the old cabinet and inserted it. The fridge looks like it was built in with the house! You can't see any seams. All in all, I'm so glad we picked Larry to do our work. I would highly recommend him!

  • Outstanding results!  Jo Anne's team came out and demoed our master bath in just a few hours.  I had gotten quotes from other contractors who had given me the standard nonsense about how 'every job takes longer than you think and costs more than you think,' and Jo Anne did nothing of the sort.  Instead, her quote was professional, quick, and easy to work with, and her workers were great.  The house was perfectly clean when they left, they hauled off all the debris (old tub, big vanities, shower pan, shower walls, giant mirror) and worked quickly and effectively.  The next day, I noticed moisture near where the toilet had been disconnected - I contacted her and within 24 hours, she had a plumber on site to check it out (the valve had been a little worn out, so he just replaced it).  I would heartily recommend these folks, and hope to work with them on rebuilding this bathroom!

  • Bobby was great!  He always returned our calls promptly and always showed up on time.  Both jobs look great.  We had old marble countertops with built in sinks.  They look great!  I would suggest to be sure you select the right color.  We didn't the first time.  But Bobby came back and redid them to our satisfaction.  It was not Bobby's fault that we picked the wrong color.  The spa tub had a water ring around the bottom on the tub under the faucet.  He repaired it like brand new.  We are extremely pleased and highly recommend Bobby.  Also, he was more reasonable on the cost than some other companies.

  • Took out old marble from shower and around spa tub and replaced with tile.  We highly recommend this company.  They were always on time and even came out in icy conditions.  They put plastic on the vanities and bedroom furniture and put tarps down on the floor all the way out the door.  My shower and tub is beautiful and we are extremely pleased.

  • I am extremely happy with the quality of work and how the final project looks. The estimator, the workers and the accounting office could not have been easier to work with. They were punctual and respectful of my time. I got to choose the exact slab of granite from which my countertops were made. They were realistic in the estimate of time it would take. The workers showed up on time and worked hard all day long on 4 different days. I am very please with their work and would recommend them to any one.

  • They were very profesional and worked very clean and kept the kitchen clean. Met the promised time and installed the products we selected. We were highly satisfied with his professionalism and work ethics. We highly reccomend them.
