Pool And Spa Cleaning reviews in Garland

  • Clayton was our main contact for the project. He was punctual with sample and setting up a start date. The sample was not what we ha in mind therefore he suggested an Oklahoma Flagstone although we did not see a sample of it prior to the project it matches very well with the current aggregate that is around the pool. Ricardo the stone mason and his crew were timely and kept the mess to a very minimum, cleaning up after each day. The work took a couple extra days than originally planned but most projects due. The pool and copping looks wonderful and it is a beautiful upgrade! The downside is that they did not drain the pool leaving some sand/concrete in the bottom of the spa and pool. They did vacuum once but there is some residual. Over time I'm sure our vacuum and pool service will get the rest. Upside is we saved money on our water bill. Clayton was available by phone and text and was very courteous. I would highly recommend TruTex for this sort of project!

  • Short: Working with Hobert gave us the best value, giving us a quality pool with minimal to zero issues. We are extremely happy with our pool and hot tub and all the associated work that was done along with it, including fence, concrete work, and etc. Long: This was our first experience with getting a home pool built. We evaluated up to 10 different pool builders and had 6 come to our house to do an assessment and provide a quote. We had used Angies List, Google reviews, and recommendations from friends in the area. Of all the builders we talked to, Hobert was simply the easiest to deal with and most responsive. I may be wrong, but I think some of the other builders just were not interested after hearing of our budget and discussing what we wanted to get done. It was no chump change either, but maybe due to such increased interest in pools, there's just too much business available with higher amounts than what we were willing to spend. We decided to go with Hobert (Murphy). Chris was very helpful in talking about the design and costs, and again, very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. We were in no hurry to get the pool done, as long as it wasn't ridiculous. The build started in July and finished in early October, with all the rain in the area causing some of the delays. Throughout the build process, we were kept aware of what was going on by Angela, who did all the scheduling, and between Jeremy and Adam, who managed the build itself. We were amazed at how the constructions site looked at every phase, getting closer to the final product. And when they finished, we were absolutely happy with the result. With all that could have gone wrong, we were extremely happy that it did not, and that it was as smooth as it could have been. There were a few areas of concern - damaged sidewalk, unrepairable fence gate, flooding on one side due to clogging of drains, unsmooth cut of a couple of the stones - but they were all resolved quickly and with no additional issues. When comparing pricing to friends who had pools built 4-6 years ago, the price of building a pool has simply skyrocketed, up to 30, 50%. Even still, Hobert had the most reasonable pricing among the 6 builders we talked to - half of which quoted over 6 figures. Overall, we are happy we went with Hobert. We have also signed up for their weekly service, mainly due to concerns of warranties and making sure the pool equipment is maintained properly. At some point, however, once we get comfortable and familiar, we may just do the maintenance ourselves. Good luck.

  • I couldn't be happier with the job they did. The spa looks better than it did when I bought the house almost twenty years ago. Outstanding work. The job was completed quickly, and everything was cleaned up when they were done.

  • We needed a resurface on our pool. We called Texas Fiberglass Pools and Gabriel came out, listed to our needs, took measurements and we discussed the details of the work to be done. Before he left, we agreed on the scope of work and the cost. I considered the cost reasonable and the work was scheduled. He and his crews started work during the heat wave during which the temp hit 108. In spite of the heat, the crews worked taking water breaks as needed to continue work in the extreme heat. Gabriel and his crews did a great job. Our pool looks great and we asked for further help in conditioning the fill water. We are very satisfied with the attention, courtesy and work done by Gabriel and his crews. Also, Oliver, the owner visited with us to assure we were satisfied. Oliver left us his phone number in case we needed to contact him in the future.

  • BUYER BEWARE!!! STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU USE DIFFERENT COMPANY! We had pool resurfaced over a year ago. After refill we noticed that we were adding water to the pool on a daily basis, to ensure equipment ran properly. We contacted owner time and again and did not have a response until January of this year. We used the "LEAK DETECTION" company that owner suggested, and upon exam the leak was caused by poor workmanship. Since we refilled the pool we experienced excessive water bills, after talking to owner he said he would reimburse us for all the incurred excess expenses. NO CHECK YET!! WE CANT BELIEVE THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM EXHIBITED BY THIS COMPANY. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST ANY ONE BUT THIS COMPANY TO DO YOUR WORK!!!!! DUPED CUSTOMERS!

  • I cannot express how professional Oliver and his team are. We had been burnt previously by people saying they could fix our pool.. Oliver and his team did exactly what they said they would do and then some. They leveled the top of our fiberglass pool, replaced all plumbing, took out the bulges from the sides of the pool, replaced all decking, supported the outside of the pool, re-fiberglassed the inside and added tile. Our pool was 40 years old and now looks brand new. My husband and I could not be more pleased.

  • So far the leak seems to be fixed but we paid dearly for it. It cost $500 just to diagnose where the leak was. They were “so busy” it took over 1 1/2 months to come out and fix it. Fixed first leak, leak tested and fixed another leak right next to the first leak for an additional charge the next visit. Total for the fix was $2,600 plus the $500 to “diagnose” which was not deducted from the cost of repair. Total in all cost a whopping $3,100. I called and asked for owner to call me back and discuss charges last week. Still no return call this week. We will not use them again because frankly we can’t afford them. I don’t mind paying for a repair but a company should not try and make all their profit off one individual. I will not refer or recommend this company to anyone. It would have been in their best interest to communicate with me.

  • the guy assigned to clean the pool spent about 15 minutes every time time he came out. I have a pool sweep so very little debris and salt system. Last summer the salt unit showed low salt - nothing in the notes as to why this was the case. In fact there was never one note the entire time - over a year - they serviced my pool. They don't respond to e-mails so I had to call. To their benefit the manager came out and made sure the tech had a salt measuring unit after that. Fast forward 6 months and it happened again - this time the light's been red for over three weeks - again no comment by their guy. One of the weeks was when he was on vacation - you pay for that week anyway (disclosed in contract but given the level of service you get in hindsight was not fair in my opinion) ... Sent another e-mail - this time saying I wanted to cancel - guess what ? no response - had to call again. That was last week and they're still trying to get the cancellation processed...Their guy was out yesterday...Red light on salt machine still on... no notes... Going somewhere else ..

  • This review is waaay past due but fortunately, I found my list of things to do before the new year. :) As for services, I had several issues ranging from the Polaris pump not functioning correctly to a filthy pool w/algae. Damian provided me multiple services over the course of two days and the price was less than two other companies I had used in times past. Super fair and worth every penny. Will definitely use again....and again!

  • Darren was professional in every aspect of the project. He was a great help in the selection process, providing helpful opinions and options. He was on the job daily and responded promptly to every question or concern. We are extremely pleased with the results and will enjoy our beautiful pool for years to come. We highly recommend ASP for pool renovations. The price was higher than some other competitors, but the quality and attention to detail was well worth it.
