    iDeal Floors
Very bad experience with this company as a flooring installer. They will find and make up ridiculous accusations to not pay the full amount to their installers. They are charging a $250.00 fee for not having a broom to sweep and for supposedly arriving late from one work order. $800 of a scratch that they are accusing the installer did when it was completely out or away from the work area space and they change versions of the supposedly damage done which I have recorded on voice recorder first said it was cabinet a scratch and the a different version that it was by the trim on floor, and that we were the only crew working there but when arrived there was a crew working fixing the trim in areas of the apartment. Not wanting to pay for moving furniture from job site when was told and approved it would get paid $500 did end paying this amount but only when I posted a bad review on their business page and interrogated/attacked for leaving the review and was told if I would not take the review down they would not make it a priority to pay us what they needed to pay us which I also have recorded on voice recorder. Ideal floors also pays in partial pays some checks of $700 and other of $92 just to give the run around to pay their installers after the interrogation/attack for leaving review I was told to go back at a certain hour to pick up a paper stating why they supposedly took away $800 for the ACCUSATIONS of damage which is controversial sence they could not decide where the damage was made and also gave us a check of a little over $1,500.00 which we were having issues them paying us a whole week thank go they ended up paying us most of our work performed but they still have $800 of our work. Will be reporting to workers defence project and show our proof of how we were cheated out of our money and will be also contacting Better Business Burual!

    TED'S FLOOR & DECOR INC
Needed a small amount, approx. 23 yds total to carpet an enclosed patio. He allowed us to take samples home and we ordered when we returned them. Installation was smooth and very professionally done. We'd do business with him again.

    TED'S FLOOR & DECOR INC
Homer was very efficient in showing and explaining to me the different types of carpets to choose from. The installers did a wonderful job installing the carpet and didn't leave a mess. They have installed both carpet and vinyl tile in other parts of our house in the past and they have always done a wonderful job.

    Joe's Floor Shop
Joes Floor Shop replaced all my flooring. Engineered hardwood in entry, DR, LR, halls. Carpet in 4 bedrooms and tile in game room, kitchen and master bath. Also refaced the fireplace. Jose answered all my questions and was very professional. The team cleaned up every day and made this big job more pleasant than I ever thought it could be. Brothers Remodeling and Construction textured and painted my entry, DR and master bath. They also removed a dated light box from my kitchen and replaced with LED lights on a dimmer switch and fixed a crack across the kitchen ceiling. They did an awesome job and you cant tell where the repairs were made. Besides doing an awesome job everyone was friendly and easy to work with! I would definitely use them again.

    Flooring Direct
We recently completed two major bathroom renovations in our master bathrooms due to the lack of quality craftsmanship when our home was first built 5 1/2 years ago. To ensure the work was done correctly we hired our own plumber, shower enclosure vendor and selected Flooring Direct for all of our tile needs. From the initial engagement with Hiro as we selected out tile up until the last contractor left our home after they completed the installation, our experience with Flooring Direct has been nothing less of stellar. Although my husband and I fully know what we want, we don't exactly know what kind of products to select to completely get "there." Hiro was patient with us, asked us a myriad of questions and offered considerations until we were able to isolate the selections down to a realistic number. Hiro continued to probe us with questions until we stood over our final selections and unanimously agreed "That's It! That is exactly what we are looking for!" We simply could not have selected the pieces without his guidance. A team of installers came to our home to work on the installations in tandem. The team was punctual, precise, kind, respectful and understanding of my need to juggle my full time job from home. They finished on time and with an end result that simply left us in awe. Not only by the result of their work, but by the fact that they left the bathrooms cleaner than they found them. And after a 6 week project, there was a LOT to clean. When the shower enclosure representative came to our home to measure, he said (and I quote); "WOW! You can not get any more precise to the levels I am seeing on this installation. I have been in this industry a long time and I have never seen work done with such precision." With that, we would recommend Flooring Direct time any time again for any flooring needs you have. We will continue to use them and will continue to send our family and friends their way. Keep up the good work Flooring Direct. It is hard to find a flooring resource with the quality of product and expertise your team has!

Very well. Carlos and his team were great to work with. If there were any issues or questions Carlos called me immediately. We worked through them right away. He finished ahead of schedule. We lived in the house during the rehab. Carlos was totally thoughtful about that.

    Flooring Direct
We recently bought our first home and were looking to redo all of the floors before we moved in. Flooring Direct sent Steve out to meet us in our home with samples. He was very professional and easily likeable. He not only showed us samples, but gently guided us to making decisions that worked best with both of our tastes. Steve was punctual and an absolute delight to interact with. We also got to speak quite a bit with Karen after our install--which involved removing and replacing a toilet--needed some touching up due to a slow water leak! Flooring Direct sent out their team two more times following our initial install to correct the grout and caulk damage resulting from the leak (which turns out to have been a result of a very worn valve on the back of the toilet and not at all an issue with the team's re-installation of our toilet). Robert and Omar were the two gentlemen sent out and they were kind and helpful. Overall, we love the look of the floors. Our ceramic tile is beautiful and the carpet is luxurious and not something I thought we would have been able to afford. In the end, we had about 2200 sqft of flooring replaced (give or take) and are very happy with the results. I would absolutely hire Flooring Direct again in the future.

    Coxco General Contractors Inc
When we purchased a new Tesla we decided our existing two-car garage was not adequate to accommodate two cars with sufficient clearance for easy access along with the storage space we wanted. Our plan was to build a new attached garage over the existing driveway, effectively lengthening the existing garage. The driveway was sufficiently long to allow a 20-foot extension to the garage while preserving 20 feet of driveway to the alley. The addition would be about three feet wider than the existing garage to allow for additional side-to-side clearance for opening car doors. The contractor we had used previously for extensive home remodeling was no longer in business, so we began a search for an alternative. After contacting multiple local contractors (all from Angie's List), only two expressed interest. We prepared detailed sketches and a statement of work to reflect our (very specific) needs. We began working with both interested contractors to get quotes and a good understanding of their relative experience levels. It was soon apparent that one, although significantly more expensive based on initial quotes, was far more knowledgeable and experienced in the many details of the job. We chose Coxco Construction to do the work, and owner John Cox supervised the work on-site on an almost-daily basis. The work specified included: (1) Removal of the existing concrete driveway, to be replaced with a reinforced concrete garage slab and a new shorter but wider driveway (2) Construction of the new garage, to include insulated walls and attic space and brick siding (3) Roofing of the addition to match existing house roofing (4) Finishing of interior walls of both existing and new garage, to include texturing, painting and installation of baseboards (5) Installation of new electrical outlets and LED light fixtures (6) Installation of a new 100A electric service panel and Tesla charging unit (7) Replacement of backyard fencing, some of which was removed to make space for the addition and the wider driveway Other elements suggested by John included: (1) Construction of a temporary wall (with lockable door) replacing the removed garage door for security during construction (2) Addition of a "porta potty" on the construction site to support the various crews at work there (3) Replacement of our current, hail-damaged roof (more below). Demolition and construction spanned almost three calendar months. This was more-or-less consistent with estimates. There was very little idle time during that period, mostly for curing of concrete, waiting for city inspectors, weather problems and other routine events. Crews were available when needed, and backup crews were available if scheduling conflicts arose. In the process of bidding the job, John noticed significant hail damage to our roof. At his request, we contacted our insurance company and scheduled an adjuster to evaluate it. John worked with the adjuster to identify all damage, including damage to plywood underlayment that was not apparent from a surface inspection. Damage to window frames, fencing and garage door was also noted. After an initial rejection of most of the claim as "cosmetic damage," John provided additional supporting data, including a second expert's assessment, and the claim was approved. Thus we were able to complete the garage addition and reroof the existing house at the same time, yielding one contiguous roof over all. All roofing work (replacement and new addition) was completed in a single day with crew of about ten to avoid potential damage from expected rain storms while the attic was exposed. The garage structure included custom-built trusses manufactured off-site to support the roof and satisfy code requirements for survival in high wind conditions. The trusses were designed by a local engineering firm to assure adequate strength while preserving the low-profile roof design of the existing house. City inspections (foundation, structural, electrical) all went smoothly, with only minor issues that were quickly addressed. All inspectors were very complimentary of the quality of the work. Fencing was done using clear cedar. This is not readily available locally, and required some work on John's part to locate the materials needed. The finished fence addition perfectly matches the structure and style of the existing fence. Matching the brick of the new addition to the existing brick was a challenge, since the existing brick was discontinued many years ago. John gave us some suggestions for brick dealers and left us to make the rounds and select what we wanted. Our choice was found at a dealer John was unfamiliar with, but a quick phone call to John was all that was needed to complete the purchase and coordinate delivery of the bricks. As work neared completion, we allowed for a bit of "creeping elegance." The temporary wall that John created for security as noted above was retained and ehanced (but moved a bit) to create two areas within the now 40-foot-long garage. Thus, we have both garage and shop/storage areas. Other added touches (both initially unplanned) were a heat pump and an epoxy coating on the floor. Work is now complete, and all meets or exceeds our high standards. We are already planning our next remodeling job, and Coxco will be at the top of our list for that work.

    GreenLeaf Roofing
GreenLeaf Roofing explained all the options to me so that I could make an informed decision about my roof. The slope of my roof was was well below grade due to some shoddy contractor work previously and was allowing water to pool on my roof near my chimney. GreenLeaf offered several options for remedying the situation and they worked with my homeowner's insurance to handle the contractor paperwork that they required. They also got my interior flooring that had been affected by water damage replaced and I couldn't be happier with how it looks now. I got a great price from GreenLeaf and they were quick to get my new roof put on and made sure to impact my day-to-day routine as little as possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get roof work done! (Before and After images made by me.)
