    GreenLeaf Roofing
GreenLeaf Roofing explained all the options to me so that I could make an informed decision about my roof. The slope of my roof was was well below grade due to some shoddy contractor work previously and was allowing water to pool on my roof near my chimney. GreenLeaf offered several options for remedying the situation and they worked with my homeowner's insurance to handle the contractor paperwork that they required. They also got my interior flooring that had been affected by water damage replaced and I couldn't be happier with how it looks now. I got a great price from GreenLeaf and they were quick to get my new roof put on and made sure to impact my day-to-day routine as little as possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get roof work done! (Before and After images made by me.)

Great! John came out on two occasions and did an excellent job repairing our brick. He was punctual, reliable, and even repaired more than we asked to save us an extra service call. Our brick and caulking look great and he gave us a really good deal.

We worked with Scott Craig as our Project Manager. He was helpful and informative. The entire experience was great from start to finish. They showed up on time and finished the work when they said they would. I'm extremely happy with the work and the overall experience with this company. Their price was a bit higher than their competitors, but not unreasonable for the work that needed to be done and in my experience, you get what you pay for. They found things that our insurance adjuster did not initially include in the claim and we were able to get the cost of full repairs covered by insurance (less our deductible).

Kanish estimated that his crews would be able to begin 2-3 weeks after we met (due to the backlog of many homes damaged in the area, plus our roof was still watertight so waiting was not a problem). I checked in with him about 2 weeks later to see if we were on his calendar yet and he gave me a target date within a week and the crews began on the day promised.

On the first day, a crew came out to power wash the entire fence and they completed the job that day. On the second day of work, a huge crew (12 to 15 guys) showed up to begin work on the roof, chimney and siding plus the fence crew returned to stain the fence. We were amazed at the number of workers on the roof, in the yard, on ladders, etc, and they were really working fast & hard. Also, the prep work before they started was excellent. For example, our pool was completely covered with a huge tarp so that no debris got into it at all!  I really appreciated not having to clean up the pool after the job.

While the work was being done, I had to leave for most of the day and when I returned around 4:00 p.m., it looked like they might actually finish all the work on the roof in one day!  And this was not a small job. Our house is 1 1/2 stories with a large, very high, steep roof with multiple sections. Kanish stopped by and I asked him if he thought they would finish and he said they had 4 more hours of daylight left and it looked like they might finish. I was pretty surprised to hear that but with the large, efficient crew, I thought it might get done.  While he was there, he personally went up in our attic to check the exhaust vents on the heaters and water heater.  He worked with the guys on the roof to get them properly aligned.  I had to leave again shortly after that and I returned at about 8:00 p.m.  To my amazement, not only were they done with the roof, but they had completed the chimney repair and painting, the siding was painted, the fence was stained and the cleanup was just getting finished.

I looked closely at the roof and it looked great, as did the chimney and siding.  The pool deck area was spotless and there was nothing in the pool to clean up.  The fence stain was very thoroughly and evenly applied.  The entire yard was completely free of debris and to this day, I've only found 2 or 3 nails left behind.  The only projects left to complete were the gutters, window screens and some additional trim work on the eaves that I had paid for separately to have done. Kanish promised to bring the screens by the next day - which he did - and he gave me the day and time that the gutters and eaves would be completed.

Again, the crews for both projects showed up on the day promised and completed the jobs in one day.  There was nearly 500 feet of gutters to replace and most of it is at the highest part of the roof but the guys handled it all efficiently and they did an excellent job.  The cleanup was again perfect - nothing left behind.  The work I had them do on the eaves required rotted sections to be cut out and replaced and painted.  The end result looked great and matched perfectly to the rest of the original sections.

So, as you can guess, we were extremely pleased with this entire project and with the time and attention given to us by Kanish.  He essentially acted as our general contractor and brought in the best crews for the multiple jobs and handled it all smoothly.  I was really impressed by the quality of work and the effort put in by all the crew members.  I was equally impressed by the crews consistently showing up right on time on the day promised.  I really can't think of one thing I would change about this experience and I highly recommend Legends Roofing to anyone with a multifaceted storm damage repair project.

    The Chimney Sweep
Arrived promptly, I informed him of why we called them out. We kept hearing chirping from the chimney and that smoke did not seem to be escaping up the chimney easily any more. He went straight to work. Later, when he stated he was done I asked him about what he found. He said it all looked good, he went on the roof, checked the cap, stated it was clear and that the chirping was just from birds sitting on the edge. Later when we went to start a fire I opened the flue a birds next came out. I went outside and found about 4 times as much there, I was also have my roof done the day and they took the cap off. They stated that it was full of nest material. SO obviously he never went up and inspected the cap. Plus the cap had obvious gaps in it when I inspected it and fixed it. I will not be using them again because we had a big issue will smoke coming into the house because of the chimney being blocked with birds nest, something that should have been obvious.

I've been using these people for several years now.  They get here when they say they will and do an EXCELLENT job at a fair price.  The people I have dealt with have been friendly and knowledgeable.  When they leave, everything is neat and clean and in better shape than before they got here.
One of the reasons I purchased the new cap was there were no high pressure sales tactics. I'd needed one for a year or more. While they suggested it. There was never any pressure. I bought it on my schedule.  While they were installing it, they even took down an old antenna I wanted removed without extra charge.

    Durkins-Fdt Chimney Service
Steve came out for a chimney sweep job, but we planned on installing a chimney cap, and knew there would be other work to be done.
He was a bit late, but called to let us know he was delayed by a previous job, so while he wasn't strictly "on time", we knew he'd be a little late, and his call was greatly appreciated.
We had the scheduled cleaning on the chimney that hadn't been cleaned since this house was built in the 70s, and had had birds
nesting in it over the years. Steve cleaned out 10 gallons of bird doo-doo, which makes me VERY glad I didn't just throw open the flue and start a fire!
The chimney also needed attention from weather exposure and we elected to have epoxy used to help protect it prior to installing the chimney cap. Steve also installed a heat shield in the back of the fireplace to protect the brick/mortar (something I hadn't planned on, but made sense when we discussed it).
Steve was very professional, very thorough, and I highly recommend him. He left the area around the fireplace/hearth clean
(and the chimney cleaner!!!), and we are very pleased with the work. Definitely will call him again.

    The Chimney Sweep
We experienced a chimney fire due to creosote build up in the flue. Some damage to the vinyl siding was sustained before I was able to douse the fire with the garden hose. We called The Chimney Sweep based on its rating on Angie's List. We setup an appointment for the following Friday. The technician, TJ, arrived on time to estimate the repair and cost. He was very polite, courteous, and professional. He told us the flue had not been initially installed correctly and was damaged to the point of needing replacement. In addition to repairing the main fireplace (we have two), we asked TJ to estimate the cost of making our bedroom fireplace draft better. He told us the flue needed to be extended by four feet. We agreed to the terms and made an appointment for repairs in two weeks. TJ told us he would have to make two trips to compete the repairs: the first to replace the flue in the main fireplace, replace the vinyl with new hardie plank, paint the plank, and design the replacement cap (an all-day job), and the second to install the new cap and extend the flue in the second fireplace. After the initial repair, the second day of repair occurred three weeks later. The week after the final repair work I noticed a rattling sound emanating from the main fireplace whenever our central heating unit was running. The central unit causes a vibration on the ceiling joists, and the vibrations we causing the rattle. I surveyed the situation and noticed the flue would sway when I pressed on it and probably needed some strapping to secure it. TJ returned and did indeed secure the flue with straps. The rattling sound ceased. The job was done correctly and very professionally in reasonable amount of time, especially with the inclimate weather and seasonal holidays. Both fireplaces work great. We will definitely call The Chinney Sweep back for cleaning.
