  • The team arrived within the time window but did not have the parts on their truck and needed to arrange with another technician to drop them at a store twenty one miles away and come back in the early evening to complete the repair. The combination of trip charge and labor is very high because there are two persons on the team and they have to make multiple trips because they do not carry the parts even though the appointment office was told precisely which appliance and what the problem was and the model number etc was on our record since it was purchased from sears.

  • Mr. Biggers assessed the problem quickly and accurately. He ordered parts, let me know how long and called as soon as parts arrived. He was quick to respond and had the dryer working in no time. I would highly recommend.

  • The service was finally provided after two other appointments were not kept. My area is only scheduled for repair services one day per week by Sears. The initial service appointment was not kept because the serviceman had EIGHT appointments on his schedule that day. Only four had been completed by 6 pm when I called to inquire about not having seen serviceman. So, no serviceman came to my originally scheduled appointment. A second appointment was scheduled , serviceman called in sick, but no one called to let me know. I called when I looked online at my appointment and noticed the time had been changed from my original time of 8am and noon, to later in the day. I was told after calling, that no one was coming at all, serviceman was sick on that Tuesday, and had been out sick the previous day also. So, a third appointment was scheduled and actually honored. The original sservicemen who had been sick came. He was very professional, provided excellent service, called to let me know where he was timewise, and gave an approximate time to expect him. Sears apparently doesn't have enough service technicians and overbook those that they do have. I don't plan to use them unless an appliance is still covered by the original warranty and no other company can be used for service calls. The total time from calling to schedule servservant actually having the serviceman come was about two months, then another week waiting for the replacement part to arrive so I could place it in the freezer to begin dispensing ice. What would have happened had my freezer been leaking???? SORRY APPLIANCE SERVICE FROM SEARS!

  • Well. Extreme Appliance Repair came and diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. Came a 2nd time to install the parts. All works fine. Of course, the "ice maker" was not covered under the Warranty but we were happy to pay that cost on our own since the service techs were right there to fix it for us.

  • Darrell and Bob did a great job putting our oven door back together after we made an aborted attempt to replace the handle and the whole front of the door fell apart. We are very happy to have found such a good company on the island to call on for future needs.

  • SRL arrived promptly, and diagnosed the problem quickly. They could fix my dryer, but said that it might be less expensive to buy a new one. I appreciated their honesty since buying a new dryer would not give them any business from me.They were very personable and professional. I felt confident in their abilities.

  • Called in the morning and rec'd an afternoon appointment.  Receptionist was awesome.  Received a quote for $49.95 to take a look at my stove.
    6:06pm service person called and said "Hi, I know I'm late." I said "The receptionist said it would be as late as 7pm" and he said "Oh she did, well no one told me that."
    The repairman did not want to come out to my house and then increased the trip fee from the $49.95 I was quoted to $74.00 and then told me that that cost would not cover any labor or parts - it was just for him to give me a quote.  Considering everything on the panel functions and it just either needs to be popped back into it's casing or some screws or a new housing ordered and he was able to tell me with pretty clear certainty that it would take him no more than 3 minutes to tell me exactly what I needed to order - asking me to fork over $74.00 for 3 minutes  and whatever time it took for him to order a part online seemed unreasonably excessive.

  • although he could not fix it, he spent considerably more time analyzing the problem then the previous person I had out.    he arrived on time, was very nice and explained exactly why he couldn't fix it.

  • I called M & M Appliances on 4/17/2015 around 8:15 am to see if they could come out and fix my AC in my condo in Galveston.  I had guests staying in the condo for the weekend.  The lady I spoke to assured me that a technician would be out between 1pm and 4pm same day.  At 4:25pm they still hadn't shown up so I called because I knew they closed at 5 and the night before I tried to call them and the phone just rings, there is no answering machine of after hours service.  The lady that answered the phone at 4:25 said "oh yes they will be out there, they are just running late honey".  I asked if she could please give me the technician's cell phone so I may reach him to find out what time and she said "that's not necessary honey, I assure you they will be out today".  After my guests had waited all day and till around 6:30pm, they called me and told me that the techs still hadn't shown up.  Therefore I had to hire an emergency A/C contractor to go out and fix the AC on Saturday at cost of $290 and also had to relocate my guests to another condo for Friday night at a cost of $348. 

    If M & M would have called this morning to tell me they forgot or something else came up, I probably would have been ok about it, but it concerns me when a contractor out right lies about something like this.  What else are they lying about?

  • It is convenient. They are a good provider of appliances, lumbar, food and everything. They don’t have very many employees. I wish they had more employees but once you get hold of one, they are usually very helpful. That’s the only game in town.
