    GM APPLIANCE SERVICE
    After a short delay in getting the needed part, my repair was scheduled. The repairman arrived on time and made the repair. He took the time to explain what was done, cleaned dirt and dust from the coils, and advised me on refrigerator maintenance. He was courteous and professional. When it turned out that one of the replacement parts was defective GM went above and beyond to get out and replace it before the 4th of July holiday. I plan to use GM for any appliance repairs I may need in the future.

    Sears Appliance Repair
    Tech found it frozen up. Cleared ice, and recommended we watch it vs LG���s suggestion of a new controller board. Charged for trip fee & an hour labor. Working fine a month later; if it fails again soon, we���ll replace the board. If it goes another two years, we���ll clean the ice again (pretty sure I can do it myself having seen it).

    Excellent! Sean called us back on Sunday evening to set up a Monday appointment. He arrived at the time of the day he had indicated and quickly diagnosed the problem. Parts had to be ordered. He expected to wait two days to received the parts. The parts came in when expected, and he came out to install the new ice door kit and damper. Sean is very knowledgeable and personable. Thank you, Sean! It was no fun to be living out of ice chests=) H&S applies the service call charge towards the cost of the repair. Nice!

    Although it was late afternoon on a Friday, they were still open and could send out a repair person first thing Saturday morning. The repair person performed a quick but thorough check, and determined the compressor had failed. He researched the cost of a replacement, even waiting around for the data, and provided some recommendations in the event I decided to buy a new fridge. The cost of the visit was reasonable, and would roll into the cost of the new compressor if I chose to replace the failed component.

    Excellent service. This is a small company and owner actually is the technician that performs the service. I needed a quick scheduling two weeks before Christmas. The scheduler worked me in, and they came the next day. They discovered that the oven I'd ordered online was a little too big. They assured me that if I could get exchanged that they would have it in before Christmas. True to their word they came back, at no charge, and it was installed 3 days before. They were courteous, prompt, efficient and reasonable priced. A wonderful local family business to support!

    Horrendous. I called for an appointment and waited a fair amount of time to speak to a human. I arranged for the soonest date that she could find, which was a 4 day wait. The technician was to be there between 8 AM and Noon.. I advised them that I had to make arrangements for someone to be there between those hours since I would not be at home.. I received notice that the technician was on his/her way 1 DAY EARLY. Apparently they had screwed up the schedule. I had no way to be at home to let the tech in so I called the phone number on the text notice. There are no humans on that line. I had to circumvent their efforts to evade direct person to person contact by going back through their reservation system and finally getting to talk to a highly disinterested individual. I explained my issue and she promptly informed me that there was nothing they could do except set an appointment for between 8 and 5 the day that they had originally said they would be there, Although they made the error, and they were made aware that there was no way that someone could be sitting at my house for an entire day waiting for a tech, the person to whom I spoke said "...there is nothing I can do about that, this is handled by the computer...". I strongly suggest that if you have to have a repair performed, do not contact this vendor as they, apparently, have difficulties with scheduling, and extreme difficulties with giving a **** about their prospective customers. If their techs share this view, I am glad that they screwed up the reservation.

    Benchmark's Parts Today
    This is the second time to order parts from Benchmarks Parts Today. Last time I needed an inlet valve, they had it onsite so we picked it up that day. This time I needed several items Corrine was very helpful and also had a couple of the items shipped from the warehouse as they had dropped the price on one of the items and that saved me about $30.00 they are being shipped and will arrive tomorrow. There are few businesses left who practice customer satisfaction anymore but this one and Corrina exceeded my expectations. I will use them from now on for all my part needs.

    The service by the company went great.  They first evaluated the system and determined that there was no need to clean the system and made that recommendation.  In addition offered a refund for the services since I had already paid for them, which I did receive back.  While here they checked dryer vent to ensure clean and complete system.  Also cleaned all A/C return plates.  They provided excellent service and would recommend and use this service provider again for services they provide.

    We just could not coordinate and settle on a time/date. I don't recall, if I was aware of their business hours when I signed up through Angie's List.  
    Not trying to blame the company.  After all, my constraint is working downtown during most of the day.  I'd prefer evening or weekend for the appointment.  That company does not do those hours.  We almost made it a couple times- late in the afternoon.  But once I was delayed with  jury duty.  Another time he was in a car wreck or something.  
    A&S may indeed do very good work.  We just never could make an appointment -- so I can't comment on that.  They were nice on the phone.  
    For me, this deal was $$$ down the drain for me.
    On the other hand, Sears was willing and able to make an appointment around my schedule.  In comparison, it was so easy.

    While Dimitri could not fix the appliance due to parts not being
    available, he went far above and beyond in pointing me in the right
    direction to solve the problems I was having with replacement.  I would
