I just go to the Houston Humane Society they have a clinic.  I was there about a year ago.  For the shots and surgery it was like $200.  Service I would say C, cleanliness no, price is an A.  The prices you can't beat, of course your going to have problems with cleanliness and the service is okay.  When you go to the vet your going to pay a whole lot more.  You come in at 8, a whole group and then you come back at 4 to pick them up.  If they have surgery they will have you come back at 4:30.

Dr. Dutton did a fine job of taking the x-ray but it is what he did next that brings this review.
Dr. Dutton cut a hole in the sole of my horse?s hoof just beneath the coffin bone and all the way to the corium which has caused my horse pain and suffering since. Dr. Dutton should not have cut the hole in the sole of my horse's hoof in the first place and what is worse, he cut the hole in the sole of a healthy hoof.
The x-ray Dr. Dutton took of the hoof he cut the hole into just minutes before revealed a healthy hoof with no abscess and no rotation. Dr. Dutton?s explanation for his action  is that he was ?exploring? for an abscess. I asked Dr. Dutton to ?LOOK? at a soft spot on my horse?s hoof because she had abscessed in that hoof the previous month and provide his professional opinion. Instead, Dr. Dutton, knowing I was opposed to anyone cutting a hole in the sole of a horse's hoof, more specifically, my horse, and without my permission and with no explanation of what he was about to do or the consequences thereof picked up a hoof knife and dug a hole into my horse?s hoof just beneath the coffin bone and all the way to the corium. He should NOT have cut that hole in the sole of my horse?s hoof and he knew or should have known what the consequences of his actions would be. Dr. Dutton then put Iodine and Honey over the area he wounded and bandaged the hoof. I had to keep the hoof bandaged and dressings changed daily for several months. Five months later my horse is still wearing a protective boot on that hoof and cannot walk on that hoof barefoot. As a result of  Dr. Dutton?s negligence my horse has abscessed on that hoof every month since and continues to have problems with that hoof  to this day. By cutting the hole in my horse?s hoof  Dr. Dutton caused or proximately caused my horse?s hoof to rotate and caused my horse to be in continuous pain. What is equally bad is that when I brought my horse?s condition to Dr. Dutton?s  attention he abandoned the horse and has refused to take responsibility for his actions. Dr. Dutton cut the hole into my horse?s LF hoof on or about October 23, 2104.  On or about November 06, 2014 my horse abscessed on her LF hoof and became recumbent..laying down like she was going to die. I immediately advised Dr. Dutton but he did not respond. I managed her care the best I could through November and December and on January 13, 2015 my horse was recumbent from pain again .  I contacted Dr. Dutton who at first denied my horse medication but later had the medication delivered to my home. Two weeks later my horse almost died on three separate occasions from the pain and abscess. On January 13, 2015,  Dr. Dutton  abandoned his services for my horse, however, that information did not reach me until or about February 05, 2015 when I called to make an appointment for follow up x-rays for my horse. When Dr. Dutton did not respond to my e-mail request for a Feb 12, 2015 appointment I called the corporate office who advised me that Dr. Dutton had ceased the doctor/patient relationship for my horse. I sent several follow up e-mails to Dr. Dutton requesting he follow up with x-rays and take responsibility for his actions but he did not respond.
Next, I contacted the corporate office which is Equine Sports Medicine located in Weatherford, Texas and the CEO (Kirk Eddleman).  Mr. Eddleman just blew me off.  First, Mr. Eddleman did not respond right away. Then, the following week Mr. Eddleman said his failure to respond to my complaint was due to bad weather. Then, the next week Mr. Eddleman said he was going to be out of town all week but he would try to look at my complaint.  I then asked to hear from Mr. Eddleman by the end of the week. When I had not heard from Mr. Eddleman by Friday afternoon that week I sent yet another e-mail letting him know my patience was expiring and requested a response by Monday, March 09, 2015.  Neither Dr. Dutton nor Mr. Eddleman responded. I sent one last e-mail on or about March 10, 2015 with more photos of  Dr. Dutton?s negligent works and to date, fifteen days later  have not received a response. I followed up with a phone call on March 24, 2015 and he did not return my call.
I really don?t have time to keep after Dr. Dutton and Mr. Eddleman with Equine Sports Medicine located in Weatherford, Texas. I need to focus all my attention on providing hours per day of care  for my horse.
The financial expenditures Dr. Dutton has cost me pales in comparison to the pain and suffering he has caused my horse but additional expenses included bandages which cost over $100/month for approximately three months and her anti-inflammatory and pain relief medicine, Bute, which has cost roughly $43 per month since. ...and my horse still needs follow-up x-rays and now blood work after having been on Bute for so long. Shame on Dr. Dutton and shame on Mr. Eddleman.

This was just one time that we've had Dr. Criner look at our animals. We have used her for our cats and our dogs as well. While her prices seem a little high, she's very accessible and very good with the animals.
