Tile Installation reviews in Forney

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Their employee knocked some items off of a table and broke them. He did apologize but offered no suggestions as to how to rectify the problem. I called their office and they said they would get back to me. However they did not. They will not answer my phone calls, return my phone calls or respond to my text messages.

  • I had CC Carpet install the new one day garage and patio floor coatings. It was a very quick and easy process. They moved everything out of my garage and coated it with the fleck system. I love it! The installers were polite and hard working. I will use CC Carpet for future home projects.

  • Hard Rock Granite and Tile did a great job through the whole process. From design to installation. Every step of the way items and procedures were explained and Larry came by to check on the work and was there to help us pick out the countertop material. The installers showed up on time and completed the work efficiently and with great results.

  • Never again. I paid well over $420 for my grout, carpet, and area rugs to be cleaned. I noticed that my grout looked untouched and carpet looked no different. I decided against saying something at the time because he was a neighbor. However, after he told me I could keep my area rugs rolled up indefinitely (so I could keep clean for our move) I opted to unroll them only a couple weeks ago. There is no way he cleaned them. They are the same dingy color and same stains that he said he would have no issue getting rid of. It's painfully obvious that he rolled them up in plastic wrap and deceived me. I can't believe he did this to me. He ripped me off and provided no service that we agreed to. He gets an A for punctuality because it's easy to have quick turnaround when you don't provide the service you were hired for. Customer Beware

  • We were approached by Statewide rep while shopping in Home Depot.  We had heard horror stories and warnings about hiring contractors to do remodeling work in your home so we figured if Home Depot was allowing Statewide in their stores to approach customers we would be safe to have them out to possibly work in our home.

It is true their pricing is not cheap by any means.  We were first quoted a price of $42,000 for the complete remodel of our master bath.  That was totally out of our budget.  We were impressed by the Webi system they use for the shower and tube area since the reason we were having to do the remodel was due to plumbing leaks under our slab which lead to foundation issues.  We contracted with them to do the flooring and replacing tub and shower, and also remove one wall between shower and tub.

We were totally satisfied with employee who came out to do demo work, installation of tub, shower and all tile work.  He arrived promptly each day and left the work area clean.  I was totally comfortable being home alone with the Statewide employees and was not worried about running errands away from my home while they were working.  The project supervisor would come by each day to check on progress and quality of work being done.  The only slight issue we had was with the worker who came in to do dry wall work, but once I pointed out one area was not straight, he worked on it again.  Since Statewide was not going to be doing the texturing and painting in the bathroom, the project supervisor assured me that if wall did not meet our expectations after our paint contractor was done, Statewide would come out and redo wall for us.  He even wrote the comment in on the final contract before I signed off of the job being completed.

The tile work done by Statewide was excellent in fact the paint contractor, the shower glass contractor and cabinet contractor all commented on how good all the tile work in the bathroom looked.

I know some reviewers have commented on the cost of using Statewide but for us having the reassurance of using a contractor who is insured, bonded and also uses workers who have to pass a background check was important to us.  We also felt if there were any issues with Statewide, we could have also reached out to Home Depot for help if needed.

We would hire Statewide again to work in our home.

  • Craig and his team of skilled technicians are every homeowner's dream.  He's a perfectionist, and he excels at quality design finish.  He is quite capable of just about any task.  I learned about him through Angie's list, and used him for the first time in preparing a previous home to put on the market.  The first project involved drywall repair and painting - project completed on time, and on budget.  We were so impressed with his work ethic and professionalism that we hired him to work on modifications to our new home build after closing.  His work is excellent, and pricing competitive.  The crew is polite, on time, cleans up and is conscientious of the home owner property and schedule.

  • We have had other projects done in our home (with different contractors) and this by far was our best experience.  Joe was on time for all our appointments and was always available to answer any and all of our questions.  The workers were all very nice and helpful as well.  We were given a timeline of the work and what we could expect and they followed it to a T! They always made sure we were up to date on the project.  All my expectations were met and they did an excellent job.  My bathroom looks great and I would definitely use this company again!!!

  • This is our second time working with Bob and Shanon.  They have been most helpful in planning and executing the repairs and remodeling that we needed.
This was actually a three part project.  First, a kitchen remodel with new counter tops, sink, faucet, and back splash. One counter top required an extension to enclose a compactor. Bob was most helpful in designing that and adding a small shelf above the extension that matched existing cabinets.
The second involved replacing powered roof vents, adding a solar powered vent and installing light tubes and the third was replacing a low landscape timber wall around and exterior garage with a manufactured stone wall.
The entire project took about two weeks.  All work was actually performed by Sergio and his partner, both very pleasant and conscientious gentlemen.
As with most projects, there were a few glitches along the way but all were satisfactorily resolved.
I remain very pleased with Bob and his staff and would certainly recommend them.

  • The electrical and plumbing seemed fine. The texturing was OK and the painting was OK. The shower pan had to be removed twice. The tile on the shower walls had to be removed. They should never do tiling as they screwed up everything and I had to hire someone else to complete the shower.

  • This was a huge job due to damage from a shower pan leak in the bathroom.  This job was done in 3 stages.  The first, the bathroom remodel.  The existing tile shower and floor was removed and the new tile was installed.  I would like to say that it went smoothly, but when the demo on the shower began, they discovered that the bench in the shower was made completely of brick!  Needless to say that part of the demo was quite messy and they had to build a proper bench.  They also reinforced between the studs for the installation of the frame-less shower enclosure (which was installed by another company).  It was one day of demo and 2 days of installation.  They were very mindful to clean up at the end of each day and we were very pleased with the results!  They were also about $800.00 cheaper than the next lowest bid on this job (same tile).
The next stage was the master bedroom.  I shopped a big box store and Carpet Outlets (pricing for the same product) and this time Carpet Outlets came in $1200.00 cheaper than big box. They were replacing carpet and an area of wood flooring this time and the results were beautiful!  They have an eye for detail and they finish the job nicely - caulking and painting the shoe moulding for a seamless look with the baseboard.
The last stage was quite the challenge, and again, they were the lowest bid by far.  They had to remove the existing wood flooring since water damage was done to part of it and attempts to find a match to our existing floor were fruitless.  They removed and replaced almost 900 square feet of flooring.  Again, they did a wonderful job!  They give the attention to detail that picky customers like me look for.
I am very happy with our wood flooring and our new bathroom.  Carpet Outlets of Texas has the best price by far and they have the best workmanship!  The people are very nice to work with and very accommodating.   If you know what flooring or tile you want, ask them for a quote.  If you don't know what you want, you will definitely find something you like there!  Yes, I will definitely use them again!  Also, thank you Angie's List!  I wouldn't have found them without you!!
