This company is owned by a wonderful, trustworthy, family. I continue to recommend them to others as their quality of work, promptness, and reliability is beyond compromise. We have a long history together and I respect the amount of effort it takes to be a small successful business owner!

    Reliant Air Conditioning
Reliant tech was on site within the same morning that we called. The tech was able to quickly identify that it was the capacitor that had failed. Tech had the parts necessary to perform the repair. System was operational within an hour of his arrival. Tech was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.

    Allied American Air and Appliance
One of the heaters in my home went out. I called Allied on 12/19 at 4pm and got their after hours voicemail. Since it was only 4pm, I was a little concerned that maybe they had already taken the rest of December off for Christmas. However, they called me at 7:30am the very next day and sent their crew over later that morning. I was grateful they were able to come over so quickly. They had to replace a part associated with the pilot light sensor. Fortunately, they had the replacement part with them so I didn't have to wait several days for a part to be ordered. They fixed the heater quickly. They were on time, professional, and everything went well. I would recommend them.

A couple of items listed on the proposal were missed during installation (electrical disconnect and refrigerant line insulation). I had to call to have workers return to complete the installation. Had to call a second time to have workers clean up the trash and discarded furnace parts left in the attic. I realized after installation that the plenums were not included with the new furnace/A coil (my mistake). The installers simply connected the A coil to the existing plenums. They were different sizes so it was an inefficient setup. They also had inserted a 2-inch filter instead of the required 4-inch filter. The float safety switch was improperly installed. A couple of weeks after installation, I hired an outside AC guy (Shane) to correct the plenum alignment and add some duct work and he discovered the blower motor was turning on and off and was getting hot. He discovered that a run capacitor wire was not connected and was shorting out against the metal housing. Obviously this was a fire hazard, so we connected the capacitor wire, only to find out later that the motor had to be replaced because it had been running over heated. The existing refrigerant line was kinked during installation of the new system. This can cause low pressure readings, so I requested Mr. Green send a tech to recheck the pressure lines in March (since they admitted it is difficult to get a good pressure test in a winter installation), however he said there was no labor warranty because I had hired an outside maintenance guy to replace the burned out motor and had "touched" the system. This was a cop out and had nothing to do with re-testing the pressure lines. I can only assume that they care little about performing a professional job and standing behind their work. Mr. Green's excuse regarding the faulty wiring was: "The unit comes from the factory pre wired so if the wire was off the run cap it came from the factory that way the techs don't wire the run cap". That simply translates to the fact they do not check or guarantee their work and they do not care if a new system is running properly.

When my 11-yr old Carrier Condenser burned out (spectacularly), I contacted multiple local services--at first hopeful for a repair, but eventually I became convinced that a full system replacement was the surest route. As the incident occurred during a very temperate 2 weeks, I wasn't forced to make the snap decision I would have in 10.5 of other months here. So I was able to research and interview 9 service providers rigorously, ranging from smaller operations to the larger 'seen-on-TV' companies. I found that as far as pricing & expertise the HVAC industry maintains a very 'Black Box' policy to layperson consumers! Online research and each rep I spoke with offered a different diagnosis, recommendation, and price-point for my situation. Essentially, the providers that sell higher-end units extol the unique virtues that make their products & services worth higher (MUCH HIGHER!) prices. The ones that sell more basic models are quick to tell you all systems are built by the same 2 to 4 manufacturers, and all equipment is therefore essentially the same. While I'd like to have put in a massively upgraded system--and there were a couple of reasonable dealers I would have felt secure going with--cost at this point is my prime criteria. I decided to go with M.Green on a Goodman system. SALES: I asked Will Green at M.Green a LOT of questions, and he answered all of them. He was reasonable, prompt to respond (both the initial visit and any follow-ups I had), and able to work with me on price and my system needs. He provided everything I required: excellent price, upgraded equipment, a few perks, a good parts & labor warranty, decent financing, (upon an agreement), same-day installation, and follow up after the install. INSTALLATION: A 3-man crew arrived exactly when the said they would and got right to it. They were quick, expert, and considerate. Chris, the lead tech, answered all my questions, adjusted the fans properly, and offered to return when the weather is warmer to make sure the cooling system is optimally balanced. They were in and out in about 2.5 hours (my house layout & condition of the old system makes the process go faster, YMMV)! While Chris was installing the Handler, he was complimentary about the Greens: a real family business (echoing what Will had said earlier) that is especially good to work with and genuinely care about their employees & customers. I was already committed at that point, but it was very reassuring to hear that opinion unsolicited. Also: Chris found that the cause of the initial system failure was in the Coil--not one of the previous repairmen had diagnosed that, so a simple repair would've likely been even more expensive & ongoing than the replacement! It's been 2 weeks, and everything is running smoothly. I'll update this review as needed over the next 10 (hopefully many more) years parts & labor warrantied by Goodman & the Greens. At this point I couldn't be more pleased with my M.Green experience. TL;DR: After lots of research, I found great price; reassuring & professional interaction; fast and solid install; ironclad warranty. Highly recommend M.Green.

    Texas Remodelers & Builders
I would highly recommend Texas Remodelers & Builders for any home improvement needs. From the bid process to the finish of this project, Aaron did an outstanding job. He is very personable and his communication skills are the best. All of his contracting crew were professional and well skilled. If anyone is looking for a professional, General Contractor to bid their project, be sure and include Texas Remodelers & Builders.

Berkeys Air Conditioning Plumbing & Electrical
Berkey's rep. wasn't able to arrive until about 24 hours after outage, but, when he got here the service was excellent, person (Dane) was personable, professional, and restored our A/C in the shortest amount of time. Service charge was very reasonable.

Als Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
Als installed a new blower, evaporator and furnace in our attic back in March. They also redid some ductwork and added a return. Our unit had stopped blowing cool air, and we had poor airflow downstairs. The technician who came for the service call, Dave, diagnosed the problem and was awesome. Hes thorough, knowledgeable and a perfectionist. He installed an entire new system in our attic in one day. The price was a little higher than another quote we received, but I felt more comfortable using Als given that Dave had recognized problems with the ductwork and lack of sufficient returns and included this in his cost, whereas the other company had not. So the system was installed and seems to be working great. However, i have now scheduled 2 separate service calls for them to provide the follow up inspection to ensure everything is working as anticipated. They suggested this upon installation. Not only have they been no-shows for both appointments, which has caused me to waste 2 of my days off from work, but they havent even had the courtesy to call. To make matters worse, they use a call service to take their calls, so you cant reach them and they havent bothered to return any of my calls. So at this point, Im not sure theyd even bother honor the warranty if something went wrong. Im glad Ive waited to write my review until now. To sum it up, Als is there when they stand to make a quick buck, but cant be found when it comes to following up on their service obligations. If they decide to contact me and actually show up for the service call, Ill update my review. But I wont change the substance of it.

    AC & Heat Solutions
Overall went very well. We reviewed 3 bids and well rated service providers; AC & Heat Solutions provided a fair bid and performed the work professionally. Service came with a 2 year free maintenance, which was a nice bonus, and 2 year labor and parts warranty. We have an older 4 ton unit that needs to replaced soon, we will definitely hire AC & Heat Solutions to do the work again.

Berkeys Air Conditioning Plumbing & Electrical
Responsiveness: On the part of Berkeys, very disappointing. Our A/C unit developed problems on a Saturday and Berkeys was unable to send out a service tech until late the next week. We have been Berkeys customers for over 15 years and are members of its "BAM" service that advertises "VIP priority scheduling and service". Doesn't happen. Almost a week in Texas heat with an inop A/C unit didn't generate much concern on Berkeys part. They really promote the BAM membership but seem to not care once a customer has signed up. Our repair service was scheduled for the following Friday between 11am and 4pm. I had called the office about 1pm to check and was told our Tech would be delayed due to other emergency calls that took priority. Nice. So much for the BAM VIP priority. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was more responsive and checked into it. I understand things happen, the Techs have a very challenging job, and sometimes people get sick. But after a week I had hoped we would have some priority consideration. The service Tech showed up at 3pm. Service Tech: Ryan was excellent. He analyzed the problem and took the appropriate steps to resolve our A/C unit problems. He didn't try to up-sell or make unnecessary repairs. Definitely a professional that takes pride in his work. Very well done! Overall: The service techs with Berkeys almost all (there have been just a couple of "please don't this guy again" experiences) have been excellent through the years. Very happy with that. But the service scheduling and support on the administrative side doesn't generate much concern. What, your A/C unit is inop and it's 95 degrees outside. We'll get someone out there in about a week - but only if you call the office to follow up and ask to talk to a supervisor. The potential is there for superior service but unfortunately is bogged down in scheduling.
