Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Farmers Branch

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I called Ernest Tire Repair to get an estimate on patching a tire.  I
spoke with Paulino, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful.  He
recommended another option/company for me, which would be cheaper than
his service.  Being a business owner myself, it impressed me
tremendously that he was very honest and wanted the best deal for me,
even though it would not be his service.  This is rare in this world,
and I believe this "mom and pop" business is a true gem!  Thank you for
your advice.  I was definitely be calling back for help when I need it.

  • I had a slow leak in one tire. I took it in and left it there for repair. I picked it up later in the day. The problem tire still had some tread so it was covered by their road hazzard guarantee which I had purchased when I originally got the tire there. This tire had a nail puncture which they repaired about six months ago. It turned out that the current problem, a slow leak, was from another nail within an inch or so from the previous repair. They said it was too close to the previous puncture to repair so they put on a new tire. No hassle, they just did it. There was no charge. However, I did decide to purchase the road hazzard guarantee on the new tire and that was something like $15-$20. I rarely purchase "extended warranties" on products but I do on tires and it has paid off as it did in this case.

  • It begins when a FedEx truck decides to merge into my lane forcing my 2001 VW Beetle onto the curb while traveling at about 30mph. I've been going to Coppell Tire & Auto for years and called Shannon for assistance. He got my car in immediately and I explained that my front passenger wheel wasn't holding air, alignment was messed up and looks like front passenger wheel rim was bent. While I had my car there I also had them perform an oil change, replace my front headlight and look the car over for anything else that might need to be repaired from hitting the curb so hard. Within a few hours they called back and said both wheel rims on passenger side were bent as well the passenger tires needed to be replaced. I was worried the axle may be cracked which he informed was, but not at the cause of the curb incident and though it eventually needed replacement was immediately necessary. Shannon and his crew fixed both wheel rims, replaced all four tires and the alignment, did an oil service using synthetic (more costly but not much!), fixed the headlight and glued my interior trim into place for $580. Again Coppell Tire & Auto sent me home more than pleased.

  • It was not a good experience. I'm use to buying a set and having them put on. This company charged for everything and every option had 3 or 4 more options. The decisions were non-stop. Then they offered 3 charge options for the alignment. It was crazy how many decisions I had to make about price. The sign outside also said "4-Tires in 45-Minutes". Two and 1/2 hours later my job was done.

  • They seem to always do what they say. If they say the wait is 45 minutes, it usually ends up about that. The sales staff are competent and they show you all the tire choices if you ask. Their computer system is good. They know what they have in stock or what they can have the next day. They also have a record of your guarantee so you don't even need the original receipt/certificate.

  • As always, extremely polite, professional and honest.

  • They did a nice job for me. They treated me like a real person. While they were working on it they took me home and picked me up when they were done.
