  • Dr. Stone did an excellent job with the surgery.  My wife's recovery was fast, and her discomfort from the outpatient surgery was minimal.  However, the business practices of the entire group were poor in my estimation.  At the beginning of the initial consultation, we were required to agree to a number of financial requirements which I never would have done except for the fact that my wife was threatened with continued pain without immediate surgery.  These included (among others) the following: (1) as a Medicare patient, we had to agree in advance to personally cover any charges Medicare would not cover, (2) the surgeon could select assistants (such as anesthesiologists or general assistants) which may not accept our insurance.  In this case (and one was selected for this procedure) the provider would not bill more than $300, (3) we were required to provide a credit card number in advance to cover any expenses the medical group wanted us to pay.  I expressed my concern to the receptionist who admitted that these and other requirements seemed harsh.  I was reluctant to effectively pay in advance with no view into what was planned for the specific procedure.  However, we needed to have the surgery performed quickly so I relented.  We were also required to agree to several pages of common sense items (such as agreeing not to re-sell prescribed pain medicine) which I frankly felt were condescending.

  • When we walked into the emergency room there was no one at the front desk to greet us, or direct us to where we should go. Nurses were going in and out of the door leading to the treatment rooms and we had to try to flag someone down for directions. Finally a nurse showed me to a room where I waited for the doctor. I was checked by a nurse and then the doctor and also had a CT scan. Everything looked fine, and there was no evidence of a concussion.
    Paperwork was filed with my insurance and for months and months the insurance did not pay the hospital because the proper paperwork was not submitted. The insurance no longer sends out checks, rather does everything electronically. The doctor had not filed out the proper paper work necessary to be paid electronically. That did not seem to be handled very efficiently.

  • Every time she has made a diagnosis, even when I think she's wrong, it turns out she's right. She's fine. Her office people are nice and she's very nice. She actually listens to what you have to say. Her facility is fine. She's got good help, multiple exam rooms, and good equipment. The people she's referred me to have generally worked out very well. I would recommend her to other people. She's very good.

  • I was thoroughly tested in a breathing lab and given lung X-rays. A doctor and a PA meet with me to explain the results of both the X-rays and the breathing tests. The doctor wrote me two prescriptions and strongly stated that I needed to take them twice a day every day.

    My daily, sometimes serve, coughing is down to rarely and only once with any severity during a time when I was under treatment for a sinus infection. My asthma and general breathing is much improved, although any heavy activity still causes heaving breathing and an occasional need for the rescue inhaler.

  • I am new to the area. They asked questions to get to know me and did not make me feel rushed to move on to another patient. They explained what tests I need for my age bracket, which I found very helpful so I'm not getting test I don't need but getting the ones I do need. Dr Wan and Lori were very kind and caring, making me feel as comfortable as possible. I have had the same gynecologist for years and years. Having to get a new gynecologist is difficult, because it is so personal. I am thrilled to have found Dr. Wan. She is as wonderful as my previous Dr. The other thing I really like, is the ability to have my mammogram done there.
    The entire staff was very kind and professional.

  • I arrived at the office on time and was greeted right away by the receptionist at the front desk. She took my paperwork, gave me some additional forms to fill out and I waited about 5 minutes before being called back. Not bad!
    The nurse who took my vitals and went over medical history with me was very sweet and had a fabulous sense of humor - this is important when you're sitting nearly naked beneath a paper gown and talking about personal things like your health history. :) After she left I waited about another 5 or 10 minutes before Dr. Reid came in. She apologized for the wait (which wasn't bad!) and began chatting amiably with me about my history, reason for being seen and a little bit about her philosophy regarding medicine and treatment. Dr. Reid was so down to earth, warm and compassionate - I felt at ease right away.
    She was very thorough in her follow-up questions re: my health history, current issues and medications. I was impressed at how adept she was at getting information without sounding like an interrogator - she really is very good at what she does.
    I felt she spent a great amount of time with me, I did not feel rushed and I felt as though she took me seriously and actually cared about me as a person and not just another patient on the schedule. She did mention that she does sometimes run a bit behind because she tends to spend more time than she's allotted with patients; however, if she's spending time with the guy ahead of me, that means she's also going to spend time with me. I'm willing to wait!
    She is so thorough that she caught something three other doctors have missed - I have taken a particular medication for the past 23 years and had NO idea that it is notorious for causing a potentially serious health condition. She quickly changed this to a safer medication and sent me for further testing. The office called promptly (less than 48 hours after my appointment) with test results and further instructions.
    Based on this initial meeting, I feel very confident about continuing care with Dr. Reid and her staff. I highly recommend her!

  • I went to Dr. Gulick as an and quot;oderand quot; mom. A year or so before I had gone to a different doctor for my routine check up and she basically told me if I wanted to have children I needed to start thinking about it. It was as if she was telking me I was old. When I went to Dr. Gulick she was awesome. She did not make me more concerned that I was and quot;oldand quot;. She was generally punctual. The only times I had to wait were when she had surgeries but overall did not have to wait too frequently. The office staff was always friendly. Dr. Gulick always took time to answer all my questions. I was very comfortable with her. I delivered via c-section and have minimal scarring. I have a friend with a much bigger scar. I continie to use Dr. Gulick and higly recommend her!

  • Dr. Pahlavan made a through diagnosis using the latest technology to totally describe my problem. He prescribed medication and set up a follow review of treatment. Staff was open, courteous and through.

  • He is the best cardiologist I have ever been to, he keeps peculiar office hours, I have to wait a long time to see him, but he is worth the wait. I have a routine visit 3 times a year, and he has kept me alive. If I have a serious issue, he would give me an appointment right away, otherwise I'd get an appointment only when he is available. I have an appointment with him on May 29th I have instructions to call him at 5 p.m. early evening, and at that time, the staff will tell me, if he is in or that I have to call back in half an hour to one hour to get to see him.  Usually when I go on these routine visits to see him, I don’t get to see him typically like until 10 p.m. at night. He is a cardiovascular doctor; he does intervention cardiology, cardiac stress care, and cardiac catheterization, and cardiography, and monitors nuclear cardiology. If he gets behind any day, which is like always, I still wait to be seen by him, because he is worth waiting for, and the office staff is helpful and friendly.
