Electrician reviews in Fairview

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • DFW did an outstanding job. They turned the house into an adorable cottage. When I put the house on the market, everyone commented on how much they liked the interior. I did not have one negative comment about the interior, only compliments. Every person I dealt with at DFW was kind and considerate. Their excellent customer service deserves an award of it's own. I would recommend this company to anyone and I plan to use them again soon at my home.

  • Since then - I've called 9-10 times for help- occasionally returns calls and says he'll call back with schedule, but then never calls back -never shows up. This guy is a total flake. Don't waste your time.

  • I typically do not write good reviews, but I cannot praise this company enough! Erik with Home Pro Electric was beyond amazing! When I was feeling stressed about the work that had to be done in our home, he made the whole process SO easy! I was so relieved to have found someone who was so nice, HONEST, and extremely affordable. He seemed like an old friend who wasn't trying to sell us high-end options for an extra buck, but instead offered exactly what we needed at a price that worked for us. I was so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and efficiency! If you need an electrician, call HOME PRO ELECTRIC! You will not regret it!

  • Roger return my call very quickly and within 30 minutes was at our home. He quickly located the problem - a blown wall socket in a remote bedroom. Other companies would have taken several hours to locate this as the house was miswired when remodeled 20 years ago. We've used many electricians through the years, but this company tops them all in both knowledge and service.

  • Bobby came out on time as scheduled and figured out how to fix the problem, at a very reasonable price. I was concerned that because it was a load-baring beam, it would be a very difficult, expensive job. But Bobby's company was able to fix the problem with five new beams at a very good price. Their work was excellent! While he was out at my home to give me an estimate, I asked if his company could do several other remodeling projects. Again, he was very helpful and responsive, and his team did very quality work, in a very short time. He checked back with me to make sure I was satisfied with his work. I would highly recommend his company. It was one of the best experiences I have had getting home repairs.

  • Our first job with HHM was to replace three windows. This job was not just a replacement job ... the windows we were taking out were larger than what was going back. The job involved: demo, framing, windows, sheet rock and exterior stucco work on a commercial building. They had to coordinate with other contractors (roofing) and did so without a hitch. Second job was to replace 15 light fixtures with led fixtures ... no big deal except these lights were in a commercial stair well with a 25ft. ceiling. Job involved: scaffolding, retrofitting fixtures and electrical. Third job is a remodel of an existing room into three smaller offices. Job involves: demo, framing, sheet rock, carpet adjusting.

  • Service call was fine.  Electrician very professional and did the work quickly.  Was in and out in under 30 minutes.  He gave me the invoice at the end of the service call and it was for $271.  The break out was $219 for an arc fault circuit breaker, $39.95 for a service call fee and some other fee labeled T.F.S. for $12.25.  I wrote the check and the electrician went on his way.
Now here is the problem.  They charged $219 for a part you can purchase for $40 to $50 online and at Home Depot etc.  The exact same part, brand and all.
I called to try and figure out why such a huge difference in price.  They took my phone number and a little while latter, Lance, who stated he was the owner called me back.  He explained to me that the $219 included the part mark-up, trouble shooting and installation.  I then asked what the service call fee was for, and he explained that was just the trip charge and did not include any time spent troubleshooting or working.  He also claimed all this was the standard for the industry.
So, I'm left with $120  to $170 for less than 30 minutes of work, depending on the mark up of the part.  Don't forget to add in the $40 trip charge and the mysterious T.F.S. fee of $12.
I told the owner, he could either comeback out and remove the part he just installed and give me my check back or I would just stop payment on the check.  His choice.  He agreed to return the check and remove the part.
     To sum up:
    - I find the trip charge of $40 to be excessive considering it does not include any work of any kind.
    - Their labor rate is severely overpriced, somewhere around $240 to $340 per hour, in this case.
Lastly, I called another electric company and got a quote for replacing the arc fault circuit breaker...$145 all inclusive.  I guess it's not really the industry standard after all.

  • We laughed a lot. We selected fabrics for quite a few things, which would have been very overwhelming had Ginny not helped us. We felt like we were her favorite clients at the time. We sent her home with home baked goodies each time she came. We enjoyed working with Ginny and felt like we were her favorites. We are very pleased with the end result. 18 friends were here last night and raved about our bedroom. They are anxious to work with Ginny.

  • Showed up late then charged for extra time.  It is incorrectly advertised there are NOT 2 electricians.  One electrical and one helper so together one hour of work.  Helper has little electrical knowledge.

    Waste of money.

  • Joel did great work - he was really personable and professional and bless him - he had to walk in the attic all the way across our house in order to wire the light for the pantry.  No mis-steps and now after 2 years I can see what is in that pantry!!!!  It is great!  He cautioned us about being sure to use a certain CFL due to the small space and I can't say enough how great it is  to have that light!  He also installed a timer on one of our outside lights - that took him about 10 minutes!   As we were talking with him - he told us about some new can light retrofits that use LED lighting - they last longer and use lots less electricity - plus they burn much cooler in the kitchen.  We had him do our kitchen lights and add a dimmer that we already had.  Again - very proficiently done and he was finished and on to his next job in just a couple of hours.  They emailed a receipt the same day - but it was not very clear on what work had been done on the Angies Deal and which we had paid for additionally - so I called and they are going to correct the invoice and send to us in email this week.
