    We were lucky that they happened to have a technician in the area who arrived within 2 hours of my original call. The technician was extremely professional and very quickly diagnosed the issue, which was a worn ground wire. He had it repaired and functional in less than 30 minutes (more like 15). Given it was such a quick fix, he then spent some time talking to my wife and I about the other appliances in the kitchen with helpful hints, warning signs for maintenance, etc. This was certainly above and beyond what we expected, and won over my wife as a client for life. They were not cheap, but I didn't care given the speed that they were able to come out and fix the issue. Very pleased with the whole experience.

    (I waited over a week to see if they replied to my concern before writing this) They knew the make and model of the cooling unit and could have told me over the phone that being a "sealed" system, I needed to send it to the manufacturer. Nice guy who came to our house, but he took three minutes to look at it and then tell me the above recommendation. (More time was spent writing up the invoice & collecting payment.) I know it costs $ to "roll a truck," but $86 & my time away from work was not acceptable. More companies need to be like Burnside HVAC in McKinney that once save me a service call fee by first talking to me on the phone about a problem that self-corrected. AAA Apliance Repair needs to train their people to do the same! Caveat emptor and get recommendations from friends that have dealt with a repair company first.

    I don’t remember how much they charged, but I do remember that I found out later that I could have got it for less through someone else. They try to sell you service contracts. They were very quick to respond, and the work was done very quick. They left the area very clean. The technician was excellent at explaining everything.

    This is a fake company. Reminds me of when some company bought out all locksmiths in town and had call service. Person on phone actually hung up on me when I tried to verify name and phone number. Of course never made an appointment.

    He arrived a few minutes early to the appointment, dressed very professionaly, clean and groomed. He went straight to the task at hand, checked with me about the location of the dryer to be sure it was exactly where i wanted it. He answered my questions with patience and made sure I understood his explanation.
    He was very professional, talked to my dog, and completed the job in a timely manner. He made sure I felt comfortable with my new dryer and it's operation before he left and let me know he was available if I had more questions once I was using it. A very good experience for me.

    Not so great :(  They came out to our house last year and replaced the exact same part on a different unit.  The diagnostic call went very well.  The technician arrived and told us what we needed and left within an hour.  We were told by him that he could stop and pick up the part and return in the same day to fix it.  We were delighted to hear that!  By 6;30pm that evening he had not arrived and no one called us with an update.  I placed a call into their service center and was told that the part was sitting in their office and that he would be out the next day to make the repair.  I asked what time to expect him and she told me between 1-3pm.  At 4;30pm, the technician had still not arrived or called me.  I placed a call into their service center to get an ETA.  I was told that they would check with the technician and get back to me.  At 5:30 pm, I called again for an update.  They put me on hold and tried to call the technician to see if he was still planning to come out to our house.  He didn't answer the call.  I was told that they would contact the service manager and find out what was happening and that she would call me back.  At 6:30 pm, I called again and I was getting very frustrated at their lack of communication and asked to speak with the service manager.  Once again, I was put on hold and told that they were trying very hard to contact their technician and they didn't understand why he hadn't called them back.  She also informed me that it was now after hours and he was the "on-call" technician and that she was unclear why he hadn't already been to our house.  At 8pm, my doorbell rang, two technicians arrived and said they were ready to replace the motor.  The technician also informed me that it was going to cost $639 for labor!  I wanted to know how long they would be here and he stated one hour.  I was alarmed because we had THE EXACT part replaced the year before and it cost around $400 and the technician was in and out of our house in 30 minutes.  at 8:55 pm, they were finished and wanted me to pay for the service.  As I was signing my name on the technician's tablet, he said, "I am sorry about all of the confusion, but I told them that I would not be climbing around in an attic in the middle of the afternoon in the Texas heat!"  I was disturbed by his comment, but happy to have my A/C back on.  The next day, my husband reviewed the invoices from last year and this year and was surprises that the bill was close to $200 more.  He placed a call into their office to find out why.  They said they would look into it and call us back.  It has been over a week without a returned call.  VERY sad customer service!

    Wow!  I wish all service people were as good as Lisa at E & M Home Repair.   I purchased the $49.00 large appliance repair deal to fix the ice maker in my refrigerator.   She gave me a time window when she would be here, and someone from the office called to let me know that she was on her way and how long it would take her to get to my house.  (Big bonus points for this.....there is nothing worse than having a time frame and they don't show up or call to say they are running late.)
    Lisa knew I needed a new ice maker and showed me all the problems with the old unit.  She was wonderful at explaining things  and giving little tips for future problems that may occur.   She also took a look at my dishwasher and dryer that I had questions about.  She pointed out that the racks in the dishwasher were starting to show some metal and suggested I get some Appliance restoration spray paint and spray them to prevent further rusting.  
    Lisa was delightful, professional, and all around it was a great experience.  So many times you use repair people, but you wouldn't use them again.   It's nice when you find someone you trust and would actually recommend to friends and family.   I can rest easy knowing that I have someone to call the next time I need appliances fixed.

    . They  have bad contractors on call , when you check the reviews for the reps they send they are ALWAYS rated POOR the last one  broke my stove ,I called for a repair on oven, they sent a second rate contractor, that broke the lock and then said they would order the part, after week they said no part available. the whole  process took a month, finally hired my own repair guy who found the part, ordered it and replaced .

    They had to determine what was wrong with the furnace &, call to see if they could get the part that day. The part was in stock but it was the end of the day and the warehouse was closed. They had to come back the next day and install it. They got the furnace up and running. Very polite and answered my questions. I have signed up for their semi annual heat and air check.

    Still, I scheduled him to come out as we had been without a fridge for 2 weeks. He said that he would be there on Wednesday afternoon. Even though I worked, I made arrangements to have a relative at my home all afternoon waiting for him. When he did not show by 4:30, I called the office, and the lady said she would call him and call me back. Noone called me back, so I called an hour later. The original repairman answered the phone and said he would pick up the part tomorrow and might be out sometime tomorrow. When I asked when so that I could again make arrangements for a relative to be at my home (I work) he got angry and said he could not tell me an approximate time and would simply call when he was ready. When I expressed my frustration that I had made arrangements today and no one called me he was very disrespectful and said that I did not answer my phone the minute he called, and he expects someone to answer the phone the moment he calls and not to call back in 15 minutes. I explained that I worked and saw patients that I could not simply leave the moment he called. He became more belligerent and said that " if we were just going to argue, I could just find someone else to fix my fridge." 
    I would not be comfortable doing business with someone so unreliable and disrespectful.
