Tree Service reviews in Dripping Springs

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Owner was very responsive and professional. Crew arrived on time each day and worked diligently and safely throughout the job. Quality of the work was excellent. Even with the Angie's List discount, the cost was more than we expected because the crew was unable to complete the entire job after 3 full days.

  • Tim Pruett and his crew are very professional and do very good work. His estimate of the time required was spot on, and if anything, he did more than originally negotiated for a fixed project fee. I will definitely use them again.

  • American tree service was great! They showed up on time and came to the job prepared to work. I had a lot of tree work to be done and they worked tirelessly to get it all done. They cleaned up the yard perfectly and hauled off all the branches. The man that was doing the cutting knew what he was doing - he shaped the trees beautifully. They took care to seal all the places where they made cuts. I will definitely use them again!

  • Justin and his team were awesome! They trimmed back 5 large oak trees on our property. They got the limbs off of the roof and shaped them beautifully. They communicated with us clearly the whole way and did a great job! They even brought us a bag of magic to mix with water to help my pitiful baby maple tree I told them I was worried about. They go above and beyond and are great to work with! I'll be recommending them to everyone!

  • Very good I stop short at excellent but very good. He is a little expensive. It was a very good experience, probably the only thing that would have been more positive would be if his pricing wasn't quiet as high as it is.

  • The certified arborist was prompt and efficient. Two trees in front of my new home were too close to each other and were growing together. The expert helped me make a decision and was very honest that due to the distance between his company and the point of service that it would be much less expensive to use a local tree service. He then reviewed the rest of my property, identifying the types of trees and bushes (several were new to me) and answered other questions I had. I was very pleased with the service and the professional, yet personable, approach.

  • Bob Clipper owner of Clipper Construction arrived on time.  He explained how he was going to cut down the tree, how long it should take him and then he would remove all limbs and clean up the area.  Then he hauled off all the debris.

  • Crew showed up on time and after a quick assessment, got to work. Admittedly, I didn't know how to gauge how much work could/should be done by a tree crew in a day (I signed up for 3-man crew for 8 hours). They showed up late morning and through their initiative, initially came with 4 and had 2 more show up after a few hours, with the explanation that they needed the extra help since they were starting a little later in the morning than they normally would. If I add up the total man-hours they were on-site, they certainly worked more than 24 man-hours in the day with the expanded crew as they were on-site for over 7 hours with a short lunch break. I am quite satisfied that they fulfilled the terms of the deal both in actual time and in productivity of the end result.
Once we had a plan in place, they were very efficient, worked diligently and cleared a ton of trees, more than I would have ever thought that could have been done in a day. All limbs were dragged to the chipper and blown into their truck to be hauled off. Once done, they spent time with a blower and rakes to be sure the areas they worked were clear of any limbs or debris. We checked in a few times to be sure we were on the same page as to what should or shouldn't be cut, and I leaned on their expertise in many instances on how to effectively prune. They sealed the oaks after cutting and once done, it was amazing the effect in giving the yard a more spacious feel, clearing the roof line and getting rid of  a number of trees that I have been wanting to do myself for years. A secondary benefit was that there is much more natural light coming into the house now that the oaks lining the house have been trimmed and lifted.
I would recommend the Tree People crew and did have them assess another part of the property and got a very fair bid for more clearing and clean-up. With the quality of their work in this initial job, I will definitely be calling back to schedule the follow-on work that we discussed.

  • Chris the owner came by and walked the area with me to understand what I wanted and to give me some suggestions. I had unimproved access to the 3 car garage/shop in the back yard but it was rough and very little extra room due to all the tress and brush. Chris had to trim a few large oaks to ensure there was enough head space for my RV. I wanted to be able to drive the RV into the backyard and drive around a large circle and then park next to the Garage.

He cleared the entire area of cedars and big rocks) and even moved an extra tree stump. Then put down a roadbase. He leveled and than adjusted the slope for drainage.
after the 10" rain we had a couple months ago the road was good as new.
Before he finished we drove it with the trailer to make sure everything was ok.

I'm very happy with the job and the ability to park my t.v. out back and have easy and smooth access to the shop.

  • Century employees arrive on time, in uniform, as a team, in a Century enclosed truck containing all of the equipment, and if you are home the account rep greets you to ask about any particular concerns.  Their email system of communication is very efficient; ditto the billing arrangements which are all via email and a client portal.  The invoice arrives the week after the service, so if there are any issues they can be resolved before you are billed.    We have never had an issue with their work, as the workers seem happy and take pride in what they do.  It is also refreshing that the add on services are very fairly priced.  For example, our Bermuda grass needed aerating and the quote was less than what I would have paid to rent the machine and do it myself.  We feel like a valued customer.
