Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • The entire experience was very professional, easy, and effcient. From Mike the salesman, to Brian the PM, to the office staff who called to check on progress and especially to Miguel and Margarito - two of the most meticulous, detailed painters ever. Price was great, and service was outstanding.

  • Just moved to Austin and bought a house off of Hamilton Pool Road. House needed paint inside and out and I looked at painters in southwest Austin. There are multiple with good reviews but Barton Springs stood out as having the best reviews. So I called. Jeff answered (at night after hours) and I was impressed. I said I have no idea what colors to use and was getting quotes from multiple folks. He said no problem, he would not be the lowest quote but it would be fair. His quote was very fair and his skills are well worth it. Nancy works with Jeff on choosing colors and working with the customer. Jeff calls her the "magician". He was right, the colors we picked with her help were right on the money. Our house is large and we painted the whole thing inside and out. So you pick the wrong color it can be an expensive mistake. Wow, what an amazing job. The lines look machine made, Jeff knows the tricks and applies his skills personally along with his outstanding crew. Real professionals. Not sure what else to say, I am sure there are other outstanding painting companies in Austin, but Barton Springs is at the top of the list. By the way, one of my garage doors stopped working and Jeff fixed that also. He also worked with my plumber on getting my RO system working. Not part of the bid, just a nice Texas neighborly way to help folks. I am sure Jeff will take pictures and post them at some point. I have a beautiful house and he did not put me in the "poor" house in the process . If your house is the most expensive thing you have ever purchased, put it in the hands of Jeff and Nancy, you will not be disappointed.

  • Jeff and his crew rock. My house would look way too much like the 80s without them. I call Jeff for everything. He?

    * Built an awesome freestanding treehouse.
    * Remodeled my master bathroom around a Japanese-style soaking tub.
    * Replaced a busted up door.
    * Stripped several layers of hideous wallpaper from my master bathroom and put up new texture and paint.
    * Painted every bit of my kitchen.
    * Fixed up a sloppy crown molding job executed by previous owners.
    * Changed the kitchen cabinet layout to let in more light and make room for a new pendant fixture over the sink, which he also installed.
    * Ran ethernet backhaul all through the house.
    * Replaced a bunch of fiddly old sink and tub drains.
    * Replaced a leaking toilet shut off valve.
    * Power washed and sealed my wraparound porch. This important and much loved feature of my home now looks much better and will last much longer.

And many other things. If something around the house needs work, Newmatic gets the job.

  • Did an excellent job pressure washing our home. They were able to remove some old mold spots on brick that were 20ft up. They also cleaned off our driveway and sidewalk. Results were better that expected.

  • Great!! Renato, the lead installer is the man! Audie coordinated everything perfectly. Terrific workmanship and attention to detail. The president of the company contacted us after the work was done to thank us for business and make sure we were satisfied with the job. Great job, established company. I highly recommend M&M.

  • I could not be more pleased!  Brett responded immediately to my initial call and showed the same professionalism and courtesy throughout the job.  He worked efficiently but thoroughly, taking extra care to protect and mask off areas such as landscaping, so the only thing that got stain on it was the wood.  Not an easy feat at all, considering the configuration of my place and everything that was in the way.  He's also very friendly and pleasant to be around.  And on top of all that, the final result is beautiful!

  • Fence appears to be sturdy enough. A few posts are wobbly and seated below ground in concrete. The gate was made by Matt himself and welded in to 6" pipe with bracing supporting the hinges.

We signed the contract in February and Matt asked for $12,200 up front. It took them about 2 months to start on the job and about a month to finish it.

It was a fair experience but Matt is hard to reach and consistently asked for cash draws during the project. It seemed like he was constantly short of money. However, the bad part is his warranty work. Approx 6 month after job completion, the front gate opener stopped working. I've been calling him for the past month and only got one return phone call promising he'd get to me after the Thanksgiving holiday but my last couple phone messages have remained unreturned.

I did speak with a man who actually programmed the gate opener for Matt and was told that he remained unpaid for his work. At this time I am going to go ahead and pay a different gate contractor to come get the gate to function. This should be warranty work but it appears that Matt is not interested in servicing his customers.

  • Matt asked for money upfront so that he could buy Cedar fence posts.  The fence posts were dropped off within a day.  However, a portion of these posts were removed from my property during the first few days of the project.  I'm presuming Matt was trying to finish up another project and needed additional fence posts.  It was apparent after the first week of work, that Matt was somewhat disorganized and they were falling behind in their work schedule.  Matt approached me at the end of the second week of the project asking for additional money to buy more fence posted because he had underestimated the number of posts needed for my project.  Matt and his crew finally finished their work after three weeks.  The fence looks okay from a distance, but on close inspection it appears that overall workmanship is marginal.  When Matt's crew fell behind after the first week, they were trying to finish the job as quickly as possible, which effected workmanship and attention to detail.  If I had to build this fence again, I would hire a different contractor.  Matt Hudson is a very personable guy, but he's not the best fence contractor.

  • We are very pleased with the results - cannot tell that a repair has been made. Clayton was punctual and professional and the repair price was very reasonable.  Will definitely contact Diehr Masonry for any future repairs or new installation work.  Highly recommended.

  • Westlake Power Washing was great. They were all over things from the initial call, through the quote, to scheduling the work and then completing the work. It rained the day they were suppose to do the initial work and they called the day before to give me a heads up that it may be delayed. The work they did was as quoted and outline. Very professional and would use again.
