Irrigation System reviews in Denton

    Mistywood Irrigation
Art did a great job in repairing our sprinkler system. He took extra time to make sure that the system was in good working condition. I found him to be very trustworthy because he ensured we had a fully working system, going as far as leaving everything uncovered overnight to make sure there were no leaks. I highly recommend this company!

    American Sprinkler Repair
I have been a customer for several years. If I have an emergency with my sprinkler system, I call and they come out ASAP. When I schedule service they are on time and do the job well. I have never had a reason to complain.

I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. It started when I noticed that his Angie's List reviews showed that he had earned 'A' ratings from 100% of his customers. They were all effusive in their praise for his work. That means that none of his reviewers gave him B, C, D, or F ratings. I called him on Tuesday to check his schedule and how much he charged. I didn't have to waste my time getting quotes and schedule information from any of his competitors when I found out he could be here two days later, and he only charged $75 for the first hour, and half that for each subsequent 1/2 hour, plus parts. On Thursday he was here on schedule and was very personable, knowledgeable, and his 20 years of experience became readily apparent. He spent over $800 obtaining his Certification as a professional Licensed Irrigator in the State of Texas; no fly-by-nighter playing with sprinkler systems while looking for a full-time job. Terry located and replaced the broken valve in zone 2; elevated two heads by 2-1/2 feet to reach above bushes by the front window; replaced 1 inoperative rotary head; discovered and repaired an underground leak under a remote head; raised 1 head; straightened-up 3 heads; and adjusted the spray pattern on all heads as needed. He will have my sprinkler system business from now on.

    Hummingbird Landscape Solutions
They did an amazing job of replacing the controller and installing a double check valve to prevent freezing and cracking. They chased down and replaced a master valve that was dead. A few days later came back when it stopped working to find a wire that came loose that was completely unrelated to their work and didnt charge me. GREAT group of guys who really know what they are doing. HIGHLY Recommend!!

    Hummingbird Landscape Solutions
Hummingbird Landscape Solutions was an amazing company to work with. The estimate for the project was very competitive and more detailed than many of the fine companies we asked to bid on this project. This project entailed removing the existing patio and installing a new patio with a covered pergola. Also included was making repairs on the existing sprinkler system and sodding the entire lawn. The patio with the retaining wall and the pergola are beautiful. The repairs on the sprinkler system and the sodding of the lawn went very well also. The work exceeded our expectations. Mike Kims and his exceptional crew were easy to work with, whether it came to explaining details of the project, scheduling around the weather, or with changes along the way. We would recommend Hummingbird Landscape Solutions for any landscaping project.

This is a top notch business!! Can't say enough about it--quality work and they don't try to sell you something you don't need. In this day and age it is often hard to find competent, honest businesses. This one is a jewel. He is very knowledgeable, does a good job and prices are very reasonable.

    North Texas Lush Lawn Sprinklers
My wife and I used North Texas Lush Lawn Sprinklers to install a sprinkler system. We started with the front yard in 2014 and due to some drainage issues and other yard issues we were having, installed the sprinklers in the back yard in the fall of 2017. Lance, the owner of North Texas Lush Lawns assisted us with both installation jobs. We spent about $2500 total on the front and the back, which includes a year warranty. The warranty on the front has already expired. I am currently under warranty for the rear. After the installation in the back yard, Lance came over to collect a check. A day or so later, I turned the system on to make sure it worked and then turned off the system at the switch inside the garage. Everything seemed to work well and the system has never been turned on since. In mid December of 2017, we had three to four days of temperatures that were around 20 degrees or colder. As the temperatures began to rise, my wife noticed that we had standing water around our shed (in exactly the same place that the sprinkler system was installed). My wife and I immediately began thinking that maybe the irrigation pipe broke due to the extreme temperatures. My wife called Lance and explained the situation. Lance stated that there was nothing wrong with the system. He said we need to check to see if the water was coming from our neighbor's back yard. We told him that it was indeed seeping from the ground immediately under the area that the irrigation pipes were laid. We further explained that we were concerned that a pipe could have broke due to the extreme cold. Lance said he would send someone by to check on the system. One of Lance's employees came by and turned off a valve. He went into the back yard and assured my wife nothing was wrong with the system. This guy was at our house for a total of 10 minutes and could give no explanation for the standing water. I called Lance the next day, just for peace of mind. I was worried about the extreme temperatures and the volume of water that was in our yard. I noticed a change in Lance's demeanor. Lance began talking over me and his volume changed. He was clearly annoyed that I would have the audacity to call him to ask a question or maybe to question his work. Lance continually told me that there was nothing wrong but gave no explanation at all for the standing water. On about January 18, 2018, we received a bill from Lance for $65.00. The explanation of the bill said "showed how to turn off sprinkler." I called Lance and left a message on his machine that I needed to talk to him about the bill. On January 22, 2018, Lance called me and his tone and demeanor was horrible. He was immediately defensive as the conversation started. He talked over me as I questioned why I was being billed while my rear sprinkler was under warranty. Lance explained that he showed us how to use the system three years prior and that he has to pay his employee $27.00/ hr to leave a job and show us again how to use our system. I reminded him that our issue was the standing water in my yard. Lance continued to say that there was nothing wrong with the system so he had to charge. I told Lance that if he felt good about this charge, I would pay it but due to the fact that I was paying for something covered under his warranty, I would never do business with his company again. Lance again yelled and told me that he is the cheapest installer in Denton and that he didn't need my business. Bottom line is this: Lance is a hot head. Lance is a bully who likes to talk over people. Lance apparently charges his customers for service calls on systems that are under warranty. I still do not know whether or not my system will leak or not, when it is time to turn it on. I mailed Lance a check today for $65.00. I figured that someone that petty must really need the money. I want to make it clear that the front yard has worked flawlessly. The equipment seems to be of high quality. I also want to make it clear that Lance did explain how to use the switch in the garage when he installed the original system in the front yard, three years ago. My issue with Lance is his lack of respect for a customer, his inability to communicate properly, his overbearing bullish attitude when someone questions him and a $65 charge for an issue covered by his warranty.
