  • Choice Warranty called and emailed reminders of our appointment and gave us the technicians phone # . The tech called the morning of our appointment, letting me know his arrival time. Very polite and professional. The tech found our problem asked me to come over and look at his findings, I had a good laugh. Our sons belt to his bath robe that he had not worn for years, was clogging our washing machine. The tech put a fast washing cycle on to confirm the machine was fixed. My washer works better now, than before it broke. No telling how long that belt was in there?! I was extremely satisfied with choice warranty and the Technician who came out. I would and will recommend their services.

  • Generally not worth it. Had to deal with some bad contractors where HWA was not very helpful in mediating. Had to argue with HWA on their contract language where they tried to exclude an item (undersink water filter) that was not specifically excluded in their contract - but they still sent out a contractor that was going to require a deductible. Though their contract says that you pay the lesser of the deductible or the contractor's service fee, a contractor told me that their service fee would have been lower if I called them directly, but was twice as much (i.e. the total deductible amount) because I made a claim through HWA.

  • I have a home warranty, so they come in and do a tune-up, and things like that.  It's been good. I have no complaints. I'm very happy.  The price has been good too. So far there has not been any hidden cost, they stuck to their promise which was a one time payment. They've been pretty prompt about their service. The quality is very good. A couple of times they've come out, they call us in in advance to tell us the time they were going to come out. They stuck to that time. I would use them again.

  • Anytime you go through American Home Shield, it's $125 plus. I called them Monday and they called and wanted to come out on Tuesday, but I was going to be out of town so I scheduled them for today. The only thing I could see them doing differently is to lower their dispatch charges.

  • When the provider came. He diagnosed the issue and ordered the part and is coming back to fix my ceiling fan. my provider was very professional . Thank you Choice Home Warranty. I am very happy with your coverage.

  • They're the worst company in the world. My experience with them has been extremely horrible. They tried to screw me. I bought the house and they gave me a one-year warranty. I continued on with them. It costed me $36 a month. When they come to do service, there's a $50 per service call. The clog was farther than what was covered. The worst part of it was that they misdiagnosed that I had a broken sewer line and I didn't. It should have costed me $150 to clear it. It ended up costing me about $1400 for their misdiagnosis. When I called to get my money back, they only refunded me the camera fee. The manager of the plumbing department stood by his men. It was insane. It took them three weeks just for the camera fee. I canceled my home warranty with them. Their contract says that they will come within 48 hours of the initial call and I can pay for the extra emergency fee call. Never did I receive regular service within 48 hours. It was within a week.

  • I purchased a new home January 2013 and the builder warranty expires this month. I was looking to pick up a home warranty at the expiration of the current one. After reading Angie's List Reviews and others on the internet, I selected Landmark. Have not used the service as yet, but will review when used. The process of signing up went well, they were very helpful and answered all of my questions.

  • We have sewer gases coming up through the one working commode in our
    home (we are retiling the other bathroom which had the same problem). We
    only called AHS because we needed an immediate solution to the problem.
    I have an intestinal disorder. I called the plumber and they said they
    could come out in 3 days, so I had to call AHS back and get them to
    escalate it to an emergency or it would have taken 4 days. The plumber
    they sent told us it wasn't sewer gases and reseated the commode. The
    smell got worse and after at least an hour talking to different people
    on the phone, they sent another plumber who shook the toilet and broke
    the seal that was done incorrectly from the first plumber. Then he left.
    So we have one a barely functioning commode and a very stinky bathroom
    and no clue as to when we will get some relief. Turning our new home
    into a nightmare.

  • My air went out over the Memorial Day weekend. I had my 86 year old mom in the house, who is ill, with no air. I began calling the company at 5:50 PM on May 24th and there was no answer. Just the option of leaving a voice mail. Even on the emergent "life threatening" line. I called repeatedly throughout that evening with the same response. I began calling again at 7:32 the next morning, and received the same response. I finally left several angry messages stating that I was informing them that I was going to have to call a company without their approval and I would expect them to pay for it. I received a call after the fact and was told "yes, we were extremely busy with many air conditioner issues and were having phone difficulties." I was told that I would be reimbursed immediately minus my "co-pay", but I've yet to receive anything. I have to use them again because I have a contract, but I will be looking at my options when the time comes!
