    Went well. Have used J&K for all my home automation and stereo needs for a couple of years, and now for security as well. It’s nice to use someone knowledgeable with automation that can work around our current system that was installed by a previous owner. As I find issues or have problems, Gus has been able to figure them out and solve them!

    USA Security responded quickly, in fact it was the first (and only) one of the security companies I contacted to respond. They came out that day and were able to diagnose that it was a problem with the board inside the unit. After approval from squaretrade they were able to replace the unit and set up the unit. They were able to quickly install an additional camera that I had been wanting to get installed for awhile. I would definitely use them again.

    The alarm install went off easily. The issues come in when you do not read the deceptive fine print in their monitoring contract. It seems that unlike most companies that bind you with a contract that after the initial term of three years, the agreement auto renews on an annual basis. This is completely opposite of what I was told when their people were on site, and when I spoke to them on the phone about the contract. My wife and I were leery about alarm companies as they always seem to find a way to trap the consumer. That being said, after 5 years of paying my bill on time monthly, it was time to change companies. The panel they installed was dated and did not integrate with current home automation tools. I called the company, believing that I was free and clear of the contract, since it was a three year deal. After being transferred to three different people, I get the pleasure of speaking to a fairly rude individual who explains to me that I will have to pay a 324.00 cancellation fee, and if I refuse they will just put it on my credit. Needless to say, I was not expecting this, and by the tone of her voice I am sure she enjoys telling this to unsuspecting people each and every day. I would say, buyer beware, and if you go with this company, expect to pay a heavy fine when you move on.

    I'm not thrilled about signing a 5 year agreement but I believe there are options depending on the services required. I have had some technical issues with the panel not automatically installing updates, resulting in the cameras not recording movement or activity but a quick phone call to their 24 hour service line quickly and easily resolved the issue. It is definitely worth the piece of mind of being able to remotely check on your home from the smart phone app.

    The install went fine, but beware their auto renewal contracts. I am current filing a complaint with the BBB against this company. The installer told me after the 3 year contract that we could cancel at any time which is not the case at all. They will auto renew you for an entire year, not just month by month. When you call in about this they are unwilling to help you at all. The remind me of gym memberships from the 90s. Buyer beware, I will never use them again.

    The phone service is good.  The thing about it is that they only serve places with upgraded infrastructure with my particular subdivision having to have that but they have the fastest internet anywhere around here.  The charges are less than anybody else charges where very slow.  They have a little connection box in my backyard and I decided to call them to find out what they charge.  They're excellent and they have particular representative for my subdivision.  I've called them many times and they've helped me and they were great.  They were very prompt.  The guy was here for about 5-6 hours and he didn't leave until everything was right.  Everything was put all back together.  The price is excellent.

    DO not use this Company! Smith Monitoring Company installed our digital thermostat wrong and fried up the zone control bored that?s located in the attic, therefore our AC no longer works. They refuse to fix the issue we even hired a AC tech that?s been in the industry for 27 years that wrote a report stating they fried the bored due to wrong wires connected. Please do your homework and do not get screwed over like us. Total coast 966.00 but it?s not about the money it?s the Principal!

    Fernando arrived on time and took the time to explain our various options and answer all of my questions.  On the day of the installation he did a great job installing the equipment and ensuring that everything was just right.  He patiently explained how to use the system and made sure we were comfortable with its usage prior to leaving.

    Very dissatisfied overall. Had to complain and bug them to install what was sold. Finally sort of accomplished it. Alarm is fine, although before it was activated, they were already trying to upswell us over and above what they had already encouraged us to buy. But it works as they said it would. Home automation is fine. Nothing special. Most is readily available from a lot of sources. My biggest issues are with the control 4 system and the sound/audio along with the boost to our uverse Internet. The sound in our family room is terrible. The sound bar they sold us does very little to make the tv watchable in our family room. They sold it all to us by looking at the plans. They never came out to look at the room and determine what was good. We were told it could be set so that it sounded as if the audio was coming from the sides like regular external speakers. Not even close. They ignored the areas we had designated for phone and Internet connections so that now I cannot have a land line where I want it. The Internet hardwire connection in my bedroom never worked. Our boosted Internet wifi doesn't work well in my bedroom either. Constantly having to reconnect. Not worth it. I just have to go to the other room or simply connect to the uverse wifi......so the Datasmart boost/hotspot is basically useless. Surround sound in our game room is fine. Certainly not worth 20k we spent. They really oversell what they can do. Our technician was very helpful to do what he could. Dustin was great. Our salesperson, Robert, was not.
