  • Called for a quote to remove two trees. Chris came out on 2/3/17 and quotes is a price which we accepted as it was $1700 less than another quote we got. We received a call on 2/7/17 to schedule the service, which we scheduled for 2/13/17 between 8-10 AM. The crew showed up at 9 AM and were finished by 2:30 PM. Except for the trees being gone and some sawdust, you would not have known they were there.

  • Called Tommy's and left message for them to come by and give estimate to remove tree. Tommy called back in a timely manor and told me his son Chris would call to set up time to come by. Chris called and set up a time the next day. Chris arrived at the determined time and gave me an estimate. We agreed they would remove the tree the next week. The crew arrived within the window that was agreed upon and removed the tree without incidence. The price may bee a little on the high side, but you get what you pay for.

  • The first day was awesome. The crew arrived promptly at 8am followed by the site manager John. They went straight. To work and were dropping trees rapidly. I was very impressed. They dropped 7 trees the first day with only 4 to do the next day. Upon the next day I. Knew the site manager was not going to be there due to other jobs and per the contract he really didn't have to be there anyway and I was fine with that since the day before I saw the crew work hard. The crew arrived 30 minutes late and then proceeded to really take their time with getting the equipment ready and since we had paid for them to work for a set amount of hours and not trees this was somewhat a little stressful. The finally started on the first tree shortly after 9am. Then at around 11:30 they broke for what was suppose to bea 30 minute lunch. Well they took over an hour and again since we were paying for time this was getting even more stressful. They returned to work around 12:45 and the leader of the crew told my husband that they were going to be done with their shift at 3pm since that would complete the 8 hour shift. Well that would make sense maybe if they started at 8 am and did not have any lunch at all. The site manager arrived at 2:30 pm to check on his crew and that's when the crew picked up the pace. They had managed in that time on the second day to cut down two trees by then. The trees were slightly larger but there was a noticeable difference in the crew from when the site manager was there and when he was not. So comparing the two days, the first day was incredible with 7 tress and some were a good size taken down to the next day were they did three, leaving us with one tree that was actually one of the major ones we really needed down.

  • The process was easy as Dan came out and gave us an estimate on the work . We agreed to the plan of clearing the brush out between the trees to leave an open shaded place on the property. Dan comes out with his truck and trailer and unloads his CAT and goes to work. This was totaly worth the investment versus us trying to clear the propoerty by hand. He was able to get it done in a day. Since he was able to clear it all with one tractor/dozer on his own there wasn't any rutts. Also since the brush was mulched and not removed from the ground it left our property level and easy for us to manage immediately after with a riding mower. This saved us money in the long run from having to bring in dirt and having the land leveled by another contractor. We were very pleased with Dan's service and excited on how quickly the process went and the ease of managebility afterwards. I would recommend his services to all.

  • The owner, Thomas Barclay, had removed some dead trees for us and done a good job so we hired him to install our metal building. The construction he performed was nowhere near his performance at tree removal.

The workmanship was poor, example - when erecting the metal building they would use a torch to enlarge holes and not clean and repaint the metal before bolting it together. That is a poor quality, sloppy work which is a recipe for rust.

We found beer cans in the trash cans that were left by his crew, we discovered later they were using the lot next to ours as their toilet.

It took numerous request on my part before he produced the building permits he had agreed he would take care of getting. The work was nearly completed before I got the building permits and they were dated well after the work began.

The final inspection revealed several deficiencies but he wanted final payment and said he would come back and correct everything to my satisfaction. I explained to him that I had no faith he intended to do so if I paid him as he had removed all his equipment and tools prior to our inspection and punch listing leaving nothing to correct the deficiencies with.

I told I wanted him to leave and not come back, I wanted to be done with him and his workers. He accepted a reduced final payment and signed of that he had been paid in full for the work.

  • removed large citrus tree and numerous banana trees and dug up roots for all, removed all debris. Did an excellent job, very courteous and punctual and took about 4 hours. Would recommend highly. Great job.

  • He's really good. He took care of the problem. There are others and a lot more expensive but he was really thorough. He actually came out a couple of times, gave me the same price every time. He did really good.

  • It was tricky getting the tree cut because of its position. However, the tree was cut, the stump was ground and all the debris was cleaned up and hauled away. We asked for some of the wood and they left what we wanted. Now we would not know a tree had been there if hadn't known it was there. It was a dangerous tree and we're glad it was safely removed. The possum family living in the tree were unhappy to be evicted.

  • We've had Sean & his crew out to the house several times.  Super reliable, ver good work.  Nice guy....cares very much about the quality he & his crew provides.  Trust worthy as we left him & his crew at the house alone.  He provides all kind of services & we would recommend him to do just about anything.  We will continue to use him for things needing to be done.

  • Just like the last time we used RF Tree Service, we are very happy with Lorenzo and his crews. They arrived on time and within a few hours, the trees were down and loaded for delivery to the land fill. All divots were filled in and they cleaned up the yard to a "like new" level. Because his stump grinder had bit the dust, Lorenzo rented one and returned the next day to grind the stumps. Again, the quality of work was top notch and his crew worked hard and safely. We've recommended Lorenzo and RF Tree Service to friends and they have also been delighted with the quality of work done by his company. They easily beat anyone other company's bid and, usually, the higher bid from competitor's does NOT include stump grinding. Quality work and a great price mean we'll continue to use RF Tree Service for any of our tree removal and trimming needs.
